    David, I have looked and looked and looked in vain attempts to solve why my Spark Controller was sucking the battery out of my phone via an OTG usb and not actually doing anything else. Thanks brother ! I had no idea that USB cables (particularly OTGs that are micro USB at each end) are one-way power flow. Everything is all good now. Thank you ..

    Bro so this cable only works in one direction?

    • @davidzof
      @davidzof  4 года назад +2

      Yes, that's right. In one direction it charges the controller - you'll see the controller charge light flash - that is the wrong way. I would put a label on it as I always forget which way round to plug it in.

      Ouch! This is the one I got: www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B076WX64RF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      Ok that is French Amazon but you need to make sure it says "Spark/Mavic" for the cable you are looking for.
      This is a Canadian link for a USB-C type: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B075XCV6WK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=profoundinter-20

      @@davidzof I have a similar problem, my HTC U11 which has a USB C conector won't detect the spark controller via the OTG cable, just charges it. I am using an OTG connector from samsung (not cable). The connector detects a normal usb flash drive but when I connect a micro usb data cable and spark controller to it, charging starts on the controller. I've tried USB debugging mode on the HTC U11 too, nothing happens.
