- I hate it when flying my drone and sometimes getting the message I lost connection when not even 100 meter!! OTG cable is the way to go!

Thank You Llama Tech! I'd connected to my Spark via WiFi after initially using the OTG with success, just to try, but then there were no prompts to re-connect via the OTG cable and it was driving me nuts. There are other vid's on this subject, but this is the only method that worked for me! Glad I found it.
Thanks! It worked for me! Cable at 1.2 € in Manila... The difference of flying is amazing! Cheers from the Philippines
Awesome! happy to be off help enjoy!
I couldn't get mine to connect it was driving me crazy. I figured it out I wasn't saying *"BOOM",* worked like a charm. All kidding aside still a very helpful video..Thank You.
Thank u Llama.. I have same problem not connected to my remote control to my Drone.. I used same u do this now my remote control is working thank u...
Yes, OTG is the ONLY way to fly a Spark! I had lots of trouble before with connectivity, which all went away when I changed to OTG, but also to the modded app which makes it fly in FCC mode! With these two "modifications" the Spark flies like a dream!
Instead of the long OTG cable in the video, get an OTG adaptor which is tiny and also get a short cable, but make sure it it is data cable (not just a charge cable).
I did the same with my mavic air. Works great
Cheers and boom! 👍👍👍😎
great review BOOM BOOM
It works thank you 🎉❤
thank you brother.... !
Thanks!
Top bro
hello sir,
from where can I get the dji spark remote as off today(05-11-2020) i searched a lot but its showing not available. I had bought the drone long years back and I was using it with my phone. so where can i find it plz help out
im using the same trick with the usb cable :) greting from Poland
Cześć,
możesz mi podpowiedzieć jaką masz wersję aplikacji djigo4 i wersje oprogramowania sparka i kontrolera? I czy w androidzie ustawiasz debugowanie usb? Pozdrawiam :)
Starting the drone first is recommended.
Great video. I'm just curious how do I know when the cable is actually connected. Cuz I do have the cable I just can't tell when it is connected
Hi @Dee1Tv, with android i have noticed it will give you a pop up (using now Samsung S8) that the phone is connected to a device. You could also turn off you WIFI of your phone just to be sure and if you are able to access the DJI app then you are connected. Hope that helps
Boom
Did everything like you did. Once I pushed and held the battery button I got the tone and everything connected and came up. But I have no link between the camera and phone. Go 4 app is running and looks to be running properly except no video. It worked fine earlier in WiFi mode. But I can’t get a camera image using the OTG cable. Any thought or suggestions?
Hmm strange, you might want to check if the app needs an update?
Get a shorty cable! You can get one made to go from the remote to whatever type of phone you have 6"
I have solved the problem thanks to your friendly explanation. Thank you.
Does it also work for IPhone too?
I have never tried it but I wouldn't know why not..if you try it pls do share your experience here. Thanks!
How to install that app?
Is that Sony Xperia? If yes which models?
Hi Apache64d yes it's sony xperia z5
I have a problem about OTG connection. when I connect OTG cable , controller is charging. not connecting. what is the right cable ?
Hi Hakan, be sure you are connecting the OTG cable to the controller and not your mobile. that should do the trick
@@LlamaTech Hi LLamaTech thanks, but this did not solve the problem. I have the same issue as Hakan, when I connect the OTG to the controller and on the other side to my mobile (as in your video) the controller interprets the mobile as a battery source and starts charging itself (and depletes my mobile batter rapidly), I can see this as the charging lights on the RC start blinking. Any idea how to set the phone (Android) so that the connection is not interpreted as 'charging', but rather as data exchange?
@@borisvujicic4202 HI Boris,
Hmmm you normally should get an option to either charge, or only to transfer files or transfer photos etc.Maybe this thread will help: forum.dji.com/thread-165208-1-1.html
❤🎉😮😊. ไฟไฟไฟแอดพ์. แอดพ์.
Do you turn off Wi Fi in your phone's settings?
Sorry for myblate reply! No i don't but i guess it wouldn't hurt.
Dear sir I need ur help I'm from india
Sure, What's up?
Yeah, but the signal from remote control to drone is strong enough?I mean what s the max. distance? And if will be lost how i be able to reconect to my drone?😬
That was my theory too, but I think the problem is not so much with the WiFi connection itself, but the phone servicing the WiFi as well as running the app to fly the drone. My connectivity as well as latency problems all went away the moment I changed to OTG. It was a real live saver for my Spark.
@@SterremanWillie thank you,i must buy an OTG 😅
@@DaniD25 one gets tiny OTG adaptors, instead of the bulky cable in the video. And get a short data cable too - but not a charge cable, it must be data. Happy flying!
@@SterremanWillie thank you very much 🙏🥰😊,you too .
Please I need DJ's battle please I'm from Nigeria
What? DJI battle?
Is that android phone
Yes it is
Set the playback speed to 1.25, and this video is SO SO SO much more tolerable!
