Bro I finally figured out why youtube has been butchering my video quality, apparently its a whole thing but to fix it I gotta convert the file to 4k even if its not so then it will actually upload in the original quality...
anyway so that means you gotta turn it onto 4k qual to see it properly
I had a lot of fun working on this part even though its very different to what I usually take on :)
I attempted to make a old disney/ghibli inspired old animation look to it. If the slight jitteryness of everything bothers you, I'm sorry about that, it was an effect I added to see if I can somewhat replicate the imperfections of old animation.

Kestrel’s smile quickly fading once she realizes what’s happened is devastating-and the way she reaches out and just snarls dismissively at the egg was so raw and emotional!! Only your art can make me feel so much in just a few seconds
The shine dissapearing from kestrels eyes as she becomes furious is just, aggghhh such an amazing detail, and shows so much emotion. honestly, this made me tear up. The emotion and the animalistic face is just so immaculate, there is so much detail, and how Hvitur holds the broken egg is just AWW MY HEART STRINGS 😭💜💜
Also the painting of the dragonet shows that it was close to full development, and was almost ready to hatch. DUDE. C R I E S

I made an Au where hviter (however you spell his name) had actually some how survive and he is healed by an animus rainwing (my oc aka macaw that’s in my pfp and whatever), but she does end up “accidentally” erases half of his memories. Not only that but the skywing egg survived, she was flying around for awhile before spotting something falling and then she quickly flew to save the egg. Instead of the skywing dragonet becoming a prophecy dragonet, she ( the skywing dragonet -sparrow) actually lives half of her life “normally” but things quickly takes a dark turn. There’s a bunch of things I want to write down about everything about her and macaws past and stuff!

I cannot watch it in 4K, but the expressions were still really enjoyable, specially around the 0:07 mark. I even went frame by frame to get one for a sticker :3
