Best technique I've seen so far. I think this should be the standard. I love how using fingers and water to blend (rather than a V paint technique) provides such a smooth gradient result. Thank you!
What at AMAZING educator , and Beautiful execution. Answered every question I hear in expensive classes. A appreciate how quick and efficient you were to explain the process! Makes learning so much easier!
Hi Ryan. Love this video. Could you please list down exact color and develop used on this example and the ration used to mix these two. Thank you so much
Out of all the techniques I have used, and it’s been literally every single one.... I about gave up on balayage.... I did this on a client and it turned out amazing.... great blend and I couldn’t be happier.. thank you for this video!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Can you achieve a light shade on dark hair while using this technique with foil? Also, does the water dilute the lightener, and can we alter the formula to compensate for dilution?
Excellent question! Personally, I wouldn't do this technique on a client with dark hair. The water will dilute the product and the final result will probably be warm and brassy. This technique is great for clients that already have lighter hair on the mids and ends and just want to brighten up the overall look.
Can you advise on colors which are cool not warm and coppery. I would like to achieve medium Ash blond with cool highlights between. What I always get is warm, copper outcome. Tried all sort of products and hairsalons but always get it coppery. What do I do please?
This looks so good! So between the lighter did you leave some hair untouched and unlighted and then do another section of lighter? So like lighter, small section, lighter
I over-toned my ash and my blonde went a little green. (Not cute. ) I got the green out And brightened up my existing balayage. The wet balayage saved me from just toning pink. (NOt that there's anything wrong with pink). Thanks for the video.
Wow. That's really fantastic! I love this technique. I will ask by our shop, if they, are fit and ready to do it this way instead of the normal kind they proceed. Love your work!! I have a question too: I have 60cm long hair, how many cm do you recommend to use for the first step up to the brightened part? My natural blond part growed now ca 3,5cm and it's a bit dark as the other colored part in toffee blond. At the end i have the bleached blond, which isn't high from ends up to middle part. Brightened part is maybe less than 1/3 of the full length of my hairs...
I would be careful doing wet balayage over darker hair, because it might cause excess warmth. It's a great way for brightening up blonde or dirty brown ends and that's primarily what I use it for.
@@RyanWeeden thank you very much for your answer. I will see how I can let do my hairs next time. I will take some pictures before and after and let you know how they made their work. 🥰♥️ But I think they will do old techniques. We will see :D
Ryan Weeden what If you already have a root? Is it necessary then to do that still? Or just do the balayage but swish the hair with the brush a bit up and then „paint“. I‘m not a hairdresser but curious 😁
Beautiful! do you think I could replace the bleach with a fanola super lightly and 20 volume ?They blend together? My hair color look the same your manikin only my roots are level 7 .
I hope you answer my question.. Im from europe and im working with schwarzkopf products. So my question is, is this method works good with the igora vibrance? Im not sure about the bleach will not make the color brassy if they blending.
Yes, Igora Vibrance is great for this! To avoid brassy or warm colors I only do this technique on lighter hair and I avoid blending the two colors together too much.
@@katonazoltan9006 Using this method, I wouldn't go below a level 6 and I would be careful trying to melt them together. Normally, I would use this to just brighten up the ends a little more.

Can I ask what different between Balayage on dry hair & Balayage on wet hair ? Thank you!
I've only tried it once and it worked well... I think I'm going to keep playing with that. Thank you!
That's great to hear! Have fun with it!
You are a born teacher.
You have a calming effect I don’t feel like I’m about ready to freak out! I think I got this 🤞 thanks again ha ha ha!!
I love this method. I do it at home for 15 mins but using 7N for roots and 12.2 for rest of the hair.
It came out so good! It looks so natural! I love the contrast with the roots !

Regina Rizental You’re welcome!!

Супер суперовий! Дуже дякую!
I love the final result!!! Is it possible to achieve the same results for Asian black virgin hair?
Please help me out.... When we wash the Hair, root shadow colour will it stick or bleed to blonded part ?? Or what is the right way to wash it ??
I always see the roots being painted, but if your roots/hair is already dark? Doesn't seem necessary to do, right?
WOW! You make me feel like I can be a hair stylist lol great job!!!
The colors are perfect! I think I would have stretched the root color down a little more but looks great.

Great!! How does this technique work with other haircolors? I assume the wet technique is also less damaging for dry or processed hair?
Amazing technique

Sorry for the tardy reply, but very happy you found it!

What is that your putting on the root? What if I don't have that formula?
Wow! It's amazing!!

Thanks Viola! I'm not familiar with Fanola super lightly, but if it's a bleach, it will probably work!
@@RyanWeeden hello. How about if we do this same technique but reverse the method? Like applying the bleach 1st, then the rooth color?
Loved it!
Nice Teach!.. very thorough.. two thumbs up...!
Rod Griego Thank you for saying so!
Your welcome !!🙂
So Amazing😊😊
Great, I love it. Very fast and easy.👋👋👋
Thanks for this vedio I learn a lot of techniques for my clients
So easy! Love it thanks!
Great!! Glad you like it!
Can I use Demi permanent colour 1N for the roots??
And do you use permanent or a semi colour on the roots
Almost always use a demi permanent so it fades naturally without leaving any harsh lines like permanent.
Superb
Beautiful job! Thank you! 👍♥️☺️
But how do you wash this out ? Doesn’t the blonde get coloured to if you wash the dye out ?

Ryan Weeden And which one is the most dark level of dye that you can use without any problem, like you said before the brassy tones.

@@katonazoltan9006 I would also not do it with permanent color - just a demi color like Vibrance!
Great video and technique!
Can this be done on already bleached ends
Absolutely! That’s often what it’s best for. It brightens up browned out ends.
Beautiful thank you very much
Did you tone the blonde after?
Wow nice
Nice thanks for sharing this 😍😍😍😅
Can I dye my hair after making balayage??
BEAUTUFUL😻😘😍💞🔥😇 Thank you!!!
