I own a 2001 NX 750 and THIS is absolutely the answer I needed. Perfect setup. Now I need to figure out the dual mount fror the console without moving instruments.
Well Brian, your exactly one of folks I was trying to help while solving this problem for myself.. I scoured youtube and forums but their really wasn't anything like this.. I also did a vid for the console for a single graph AND I do have an idea for solving the dual problem BUT until I start running duals you won't see that one from me.. Best I can do is get you a 12" at the dash currently lol.. Thank you so much for your comment and welcome to the channel!
Excellent DIY mount. I have a similar setup on my boat, but I use one angle iron that supports two 10 inch graphs. It's great to see others saving money!!!!!
Good stuff man really enjoying these videos right now. As I said love modify and upgrade the boat. Been fishing for 35 years. Fishing out of a boat all my life and finally became a first time boat owner not long ago. I would have done it years ago but it just wasn't in the cards. And I'm telling you I've been modifying the crap out of my boat. Wish I would have been recording and documenting all of it
I have a Nitro Z6 too. I love it! Perfect for just a single fisherman and an occasional co angler. I have a ghost with active target. I need to double stack two hds 9s. My goal this year. I have an elite ti 9 and 7 at the console. I want a jack plate and power poles but that's a pipe dream. I fish the Potomac area. I've added pnumatic shocks for the lockers, an aerator, and full suite of lights.
That's awesome Bassdojo!! I really am enjoying mine. As you can see I've been figuring out ways to mod it to accommodate the larger graphs.. (More mods on the horizon) I fished my first club tournament this year in it this last weekend with a co-angler on a lake I'd never been before, and hey no problems.. It was super windy and cold bite sucked but that's on me. The boat is proving to be a great platform and still keeping within a budget that allows for me to get out. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. I'd love to have as many other Z-6 owners as possible to subscribe and bounce off ideas and things.. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@stephansmithoutdoors The biggest difference was adding lithium batteries. I gained a few extra mph. In a few months I'm going to rewire the entire boat. To ensure I get adequate unobstructed power to all my electronics.

I would say that took some time in the garage with lots of chin scratching to come up with that quality end results. Excellent fabrication job. 👍 Just a fyi with that much glass up front be careful when your pitching.
Thanks Doc.. I did everything in one day. Filming slows me down considerably.. I have thought about screen protectors.. Thanks for watching and commenting.. MC & HNY!
I think I used 3/16th pilot holes.. I used my dewalt impact driver to drive the lag screws and final tighten with ratchet.. If you email me I can give you some up close pics.. I only used the 2 holes on each side not the 3rd in the middle.. It wasn't exactly necessary..
How do you like this style of mount compared to the Stowaway Mount on your previous boat? I Ordered the stowaway but now that it's in hand im wondering how much it will interfere with casting since I only fish for bass.
That's a very good question.. AND I have given some thought to the answer.. Cause it's not that simple.. With ANY mount that you go with they ALL have there ups and downs.. I still feel like the StowAway was the right mount for that boat (Classic XL) and I could fish Bass or Crappie with it and enjoyed it being elevated... Didn't seem to get in my way.. But the BIGGEST thing I liked was how much space I felt it saved on a smaller boat. With that being said.. This mount that I currently have now came down to affordability .. I wasn't going to spring for the price tag that has gone up significantly since I first got the StowAway. THAT's why I didn't get another or any other high priced take in the a** product.. If I could help it and it turns out I could.. I like this one cause it works and I did it for $125 so I can deal with the fact that I can't elevate it.. At the end of the day YOU have to decide.. I hope this helps.. Thanks for your comment and watching Bigred!
Is the offset distance right for the graph mounts a typical for the Z6 or specific to your setup ? I have a Z6 and want to stack some 10" Garmins in the front.
The offset distance was specific for my setup.. As you can see I've got the Garmin Force and the Live Foot there so had to accommodate for that a bit on the port side.. I have since moved the 10" to the bottom and the 12" on top after being out with it a few times.. So the short answer is you can make it anyway you want for what ever boat you may have, if needing to solve a similar problem using the video as a guide... Hope that helps.. FYI that mount has been freaking awesome thus far and I have been in some real chop going at speed giving it a beating.. Thanks for watching and commenting Scott!
