    Thanks for the perspective. It is true that it's all over the place, especially gas stations. Which really emphasizes how badly we need to be getting away from gas operated vehicles and planes. But the thing that still sort of looms in my head is that this is probably an issue with the manufacturing line and is probably causing issues with everything from shampoos to moisturizers to hairspray. A review of manufacturing and packaging is probably long overdue.

    • @JaeggerPendoley
      @JaeggerPendoley 3 года назад +15

      Just my 2 cents having gone through it. I had to use an aha/bha in order to get rid of it. Keep in mind this is never recommended and a dermatologist would most likely remove them through a procedure or perhaps a prescription product. I used a 5% lactic acid and 2% salicylic in order to exfoliate and unclog the milia. I did this every other night and did several layers of spf during the day so my eyes didn’t explode. Once again this is not recommended but worked for me. If you can go to a derm please do. If you can’t afford it then I’d look into a low dose aha/bha and go slow since your eyes are highly sensitive. Good luck 💕

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd 3 года назад +3

      Generally, children over 6 months old can use most mineral sunscreens. The children and men labels are often marketing strategies. Mens products tend to have a more "masculine" scent. The only real difference is that men tend to shave everyday so that is mechanical exfoliation, they do not need scrubs and exfoliants on the mid/lower face like women, otherwise, they are more similar than different.

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge about this topic. As a Canadian, I hope that our health department comes to take a closer look at is as well. There are a lot of sunscreens here that are not available in the US and it makes the situation more complicated. Hopefully it works out soon.

    Doctor Idriss, thank you for your highly scientific videos. i greatly appreciate the fact that you delve deeply into very specific aspects of skin care products in a way no other doctor on youtube has ever dared to tread. You are my go to expert on skin care, period, end of story! Change can be daunting, but life is a spiritual journey more than a physical journey. But then you know that already, and if you don't already you will, hopefully. I wish you all the best Dr. Idriss.

    Good that you adress new things going on in the cosmetic industry. I didn't know agout it. I have a question regarding sunscreen. Not many fragrance free are on the Polish market. I found one but I don't know if it's good. May I send you the inci link? I am only asking because there is not much to choose from and I want to choose a decent sunscreen. It has SLS is it needed? Strange.

    Thank you Dr Idriss for this video, I am a little worried as I don't live in North America and I was a little frightened about whether this could be an issue where I live but apart from the current benzene issue, what do you think about the Alturist sunscreens (or just European sunscreens) or Korean ones?

    HI Dr. Idriss, i've been binge-watching your videos for quite some time. this is my first time leaving a comment. thank you so much for generously sharing the knowledge. I have a question abt sunscreen that has been haunting me forever and I could not find satisfactory answer to it. shall we apply sunscreen rigorously when indoors with all the curtains (non-blackout ones)closed? i understand if there are windows , we have to wear sunscreen. but I always keep fabric curtains down. only use mineral sunscreen which is a beast to get rid of. so tend not to wear it indoors. thanks a lot again ~

    Loved this! I just watched your video on fine lines and wrinkles. I was wondering if you could do one on volume loss? I’m 30 and don’t really have fine lines yet but I do have volume loss in my cheeks and around my mouth and even my temples. I know there aren’t products to fix this but what cosmetic procedures are available? I think that would be super helpful!

    The study would make people so confused about whether they should apply sunscreens or not. So damn scary. We don’t know what is put in the skincare products. No wonder people prefer a natural or organic product however less potent they may be. Ultimately we all need to believe in what we think is right for us no matter what the beauty gurus say because who knows they may also be duped.

    I love your videos, they're so informative and I've been binging them for two days. I wonder if you'd ever consider doing a video about the difference between Vitamin C and citric acid in skincare products. Are they the same/do they have the same elements? Citric acid seems "bad" especially in spfs (phototoxicity), but vitamin c is helpful? I'd love to hear more about this from you! You're one of the only channels that really delves into the scientific side of skincare.

Like a lot of videos to literally study skincare science such as ingredients in cleansers etc.. as you're doing right now with glicerin, retinol etc but with things less seen like surfactants, the difference between all them and so on... all those things that we dont know

    I would really love a video that would help me convince my bf and family to use sunscreen... I was called 'obsessed' and 'crazy' since they all think sunscreen belongs to the time u go to the beach for hours and I use SPF daily and prefer shade over burning to the crisp. Im sad cus Im afraid for their health! I thank you dr. Idriss of spreading the message, even if one person gets over to 'pro-spf' side, its all worth it!
