  • Colin Kaepernick has become one of the most polarizing people in america, but most people didn't even know who he was prior to 2012 when he became a surprise star for the 49ers. This video tells a story of the greatest mid-major rivarly in college football history. Many college fans know about the final battle between Kaepernick and Boise state, but few know the entire story.

    The worst part of this game was that Boise State fans were sending death threats to their kicker in the days after the game.

      Some people just cant handle a loss.. even though they werent on the actual team who lost. Sad they felt the need to do that. Those people are the kind of people like that buffalo bills fan douche who shot the guys who beat him in the Madden tournament. Rip to those young men.

    Omg KTO. You absolutel madman. The editing of this video. The suspense. The build. The music. Geezus. I know how the Nevada v Boise game ended but that didnt keep me from being on the edge of my seat. This video is BRILLIANT. I wish there were 10 of you, so I could get 10x the uploads. Your quality is insane. I dont give a rats ass about the browns but Im even waiting for your next "hard knocks" coverage. 99/10 would watch again. So glad Im subbed to you.
    - Respect from a 49ers fan.
    Side note. I remember watching the first Boise v Oklahoma fiesta bowl. Personal opinion: Til this day that is the greatest college football game Ive ever seen. There have been crazy shockers since (Iron Bowl 2013, National Chip 2017, etc.) But still. That game was burned into my memory. Loved that game.

I had this feeling that something special was going to happen and I didn't want to miss it, and even though I didn't like either team I stayed late, pushing my paperwork off until the game was over. Seeing BSU lose in such a heartbreaking fashion... man college football is great! This was a really great game to watch, even for someone like me that had no emotional investments in either team

      It was actually the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Fransisco. They went against Boston College and won. They drew an intense crowd (It was like 29k+ Nevada Wolf Pack fans since it's only a 4 hour drive from Reno) Which in part helped get Kaepernick drafted higher to the 9ers knowing that they'd have a plethora of Nevada fans right over the border to come to 9ers games.

      Sprite God Even though you commented this awhile ago, I believe he isn’t completely ass, but couldn’t be clutch to save his life, being top 15 in all time points in the NCAA is still being almost top notch, yet that doesn’t matter when you miss not just one, but two field goals in the clutch

    • @devinm9245
      @devinm9245 4 года назад

      I don't make excuses for any man but if you watch his feet it looks like the is about to actually faint from the crippling pressure. Interestingly he was more than clutch all year but when I saw his shaky movements approaching the ball the Han Solo in me was screaming "I got a bad feeling about this". Hats off to Kap though we knew they wanted to run that Pistol offense on us and we still got thrashed on it.

    Pretty great story. Had an discussion with a couple friends who didn't like Kap's protest and went on to claim he wasn't a very good QB in the first place, doing whatever they could in their mind to belittle the man because they don't like him.
    I'm sorry, but if you can take a team to the Superbowl, you can't be a terrible quarterback. Are there things he could be better at? Sure. Pretty much everyone has some place they can work on and improve. But to call him a poor QB and try to attach that to his protestations is revisionist history at best.
    He's a heck of an athlete and is most definitely talented enough to be on a pro team's roster, politics aside.

He weighed his entire NFL career, which is more money than you can dream of, vs his own importance of rights of blacks and women. Not only is now jobless, he has people who resent him, receiving death threats, and has the most powerful man in our country making sure he doesn't get a half decent job. What did you sacrifice? Kaepernick went about his protest in the worst way possible. He then portrayed his message in the worst way possible, by saying he has respect for most law enforcement, then wearing cops are pigs socks, or saying he cares about veterans and our country, then wearing a Castro tshirt. I have no respect for him, and its pitiful that he is making millions while being portrayed as some sort of underdog hero.

    Great video, but the CRAZY thing about Kaepernick that people don’t know.....is that he chose to peacefully protest the anthem by kneeling, after a long discussion with a decorated veteran and former Green Beret, Nate Boyer. It was Boyer who suggested that instead of just not coming out for the anthem, that he kneel, still abiding by league rules, showing respect for the veterans and enlisted, while still getting his point across.
    For peacefully protesting police brutality, Kaepernick has been black-listed (no pun intended) by the NFL. To me,the worst part about all of it.....is that other players and fans alike, have abandoned him. It was an opportunity for players to stand together, defending his constitutional right, to kneel during the anthem.
    A reminder to everyone, that there WERE NO players on the field during the National Anthem, until 2009, after the NFL was payed by the Pentagon’s public relations department. Yes, thats right, these are PAYED displays of patriotism. All of those stars and stripes on television graphics, or the jet flyovers during pregame? All payed for by the US Department of Defense.
    The men and women who serve and die for this country, don’t do so for a flag or an anthem. They do so, per the US Code 3311 Oath of Office; to defend the CONSTITUTION against ALL enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC. The same constitution which ensures that it is not a law, and unconstitutional to require ANYONE to stand during any Anthem.
    To the people burning their Nikes or Kaepernick jerseys, the fact that you choose to worship a flag or an anthem, more than a person’s constitutional rights, is telling. You don’t get it. You don’t get what this country is about, and mistake Nationalism, for Patriotism. One can love his country (Patriotism) without feeling his country is superior in every way (Nationalism). After all, it has been said by many, that dissent is the highest form of Patriotism. Seeking to improve things out of love for one’s homeland and it’s people, is as Patriotic as it gets. Worshipping a flag or an anthem requires no personal sacrifice whatsoever.

    • @TheInfinityzeN
      @TheInfinityzeN 4 года назад

      The funny thing is that Freedom of Speech doesn't apply anywhere but with the government. As a private citizen working for a private organization, they can legally tell him that he can not protest at work. If he was causing income issues by his actions, then there is no need to black list. A business is out to make money and if you cause them to lose money instead none of them will hire you. Also, doing anything but standing for the anthem was against NFL rules. That includes not coming out until after the anthem. That the NFL decided not to enforce that rule is their fault.
      If you think that the constitution would make requiring him to stand illegal then you need to go research the constitution more. It prevents the government from forcing you to say or not say something. A private entity can make that a requirement. Heck, he agreed to it when he signed his contract.
      Also I call bullshit on the not doing it for the flag. Yes we take an oath of office. In fact we take it multiple times throughout our career. But the oath isn't a symbol, the flag is. It is a symbol of the blood shed, the lives lost and destroyed, to keep us free. It is draped over every fallen hero, gifted to every retiring soldier, and honored as the memory of all those who have come before us. I served my 20 years, did multiple combat tours, and retired 100% disabled. I have trouble walking without a cane. But if you disrespect the flag in front of me I will tell you exactly what a worthless piece of shit you are. And if you have a problem with that, I will beat your ass with that cane I need to walk.

    • @Deeplycloseted435
      @Deeplycloseted435 4 года назад

      Troy McDaniel respectfully, you’re using straw-man arguments here. I never even mentioned the term free speech, and you give me a lecture on how it works, of which I am aware. Are you telling me the government has no hand in this at all? Seriously? These pregame ceremonies are bought and payed for by the Department of Defense, aka propaganda. Yes, the NFL is well within it’s right to enforce it’s rules, of course. Tell me then, what other players are currently out of the league, for taking a knee? None. Was he the only one who took a knee? Nope.
      You mention that you’ll physically assault anyone who disrespects the flag. If that’s what it stands for, if that’s what is required in order to get people to blindly worship a piece of fabric over the lives and safety of fellow American citizens.....then I want no part of it.
      You call BS? I also call BS, on the myth that we are free based on the blood shed of American soldiers. We act as if we are the ONLY country with freedom. Currently, there are just over 200 countries on our planet, and only 25 (less than 12%) qualify, in any way as not being free, and many of those 25 even have elections, but are suspect due to corruption and intermingling of media and government. Yes there are some who are outright authoritarian as well, but not many. Have all of these countries, bled to have this freedom? No, they simply ratified a constitution similar in many ways to ours, which itself was based on the Magna Carta. Which of our current or recent wars, have been based on threats to our freedom? None! Iraq was due to false/fabricated intelligence reports. Opiumstan......whoops, I mean Afghanistan was allegedly to get Bin Laden, yet we are still there ensuring the right pipelines are in place. Syria? More pipelines.....this modern rather progressive Middle Eastern country and it’s people, destroyed by a US/British financed proxy war, paying the alleged terrorists who are allegedly our enemies, to tear the place apart. Vietnam? Remember the Communism domino effect? They were allegedly constantly seeking global domination.....when in truth, the only global domination is by the US military and their some 800+ foreign military bases. ALL other countries COMBINED have only 30 foreign military bases.
      America isn’t even in the top 10 globally on the freedom index. The slow dilution of our civil liberties is real, but instead of protesting the invasion of our privacy.....people would rather burn a pair of shoes, because a guy protesting for civil rights, is somehow twisted into an offense of the military and veterans.
      NOBODY, including Kaepernick ever disrespected anyone who serves. Whether its a protest about unjust police brutality or a protest against any number of our bullshit wars, its not about disrespecting the people who choose to serve. It IS about disrespecting the men who send our sons and daughters into harms way, for financial gain. You know, the owners of this country? The same men who own the defense contractors, the media conglomerates, the energy corporations, and all of the above. Every US conflict can be traced back rather easily, to the benefit of US business interests. I completely understand and agree that most who serve, do so out of love of country. You must also understand that many who dissent from the mainstream narrative, also do so out of love of country.
      I’ve spent years of my life working in a few different VA hospitals. I don’t view our military as baby-killers, but rather as victims. Victims of a system who uses them and their well-being, as pawns in a rich man’s game. I’ve seen so many kids, sent out into a situation that no human being should have to endure....told they are heroes, then when they come home, and are all finished? I fit them for their prosthetic limbs, which are rarely covered 100%, which is why we rely on donated old prostheses, as well as several charities. Its ridiculous!! We can find money for more bombs, more wars, etc.....we spend nearly $1 BILLION annually, on Department of Defense Public Relations (again, aka propaganda) and we are told to worship those who actively serve, but when they are done, they are not treated as they should be. Those with psychological injuries are treated even worse. It is difficult to get service connected benefits based solely on psychological injury, and sadly, these are the types of injuries which are most prevalent.
      I’m off topic, but I can’t help it as it has been a big part of my life, and one I feel passionate about. If socialized medicine is garbage, as we are told by the media....then why is that what we provide for our veterans?
      I think you’d find that many people, who may not agree with your perspective on the flag and the anthem, do however agree with you regarding the treatment of our active and retired service men and women.
      You ever hear of General Smedley Butler, USMC? You should, if not.
      Bottom line, Kaepernick was NOT treated consistently with the same treatment other NFL players have gotten for rules violations. Twisting and turning a civil rights protest, somehow some way, into an attack on US military personnel and veterans.....is absurd. Is the military really THAT sensitive?
      There is a rather large distinction between Patriotism and Nationalism that most Americans don’t seem to understand. Most like to claim Patriotism, but usually their faux Patriotic stances are rooted in protection of their culture, language, and heritage....which is Nationalism in a nutshell. The flag and our anthem does not represent a culture, any particular language, or heritage. It represents an idea. An idea that all men are created equally, and deserve an opportunity to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Unfortunately, this idea is lost on most these days. I can’t speak for times past, but I doubt they were much different. The veil of red, white, & blue is slowly being lifted. Its harder to see when you’re in it, but what is being revealed is rather ugly. If we are unwilling to meet it head on, and admit our shortcomings regarding our own Constitution and Bill of Rights, then we will lose what people claim to hold so dear, but seemingly simultaneously misunderstand.

There is only one team in our hole division that has beat us almost every year. The school is Kimberly and they went on a fat win streak the biggest in the nationa in 2016 but the first game for the 2017 season we Barley beat them by a game winning feald goal and ended they streak. It was huge and was all over Wisconsin. But we knew that we would play them again in playoffs. It was the round 4 playoffs. One game away from state just like every year. We even set the pace for the game but lost in overtime because one of our senior line backers fucked up a play and let them get a 2 point in ot
