Kyle, I routinely restore the factory original radios, like the one from your Blazer, as a regular full time job for many years now. If you want, I can completely go over and repair your original radio for you, and if you want to, add an external aux input jack so that you're able to play music from any outside sound source.
Thanks pal! I have a couple spare radios lying around that I might use, but feel free to shoot me an email sometime with your information just in case!
Completely agree with all your priorities and delays and originally wanted you to keep the jimmy as factory as possible so an oem deck would be perfect. I DEFINITELY think you should replace the 240 content with your house building process for now, I think seeing the different phases of the house build in your traditional saabkyle04 in-depth and detail style would be awesome and I think a lot of people would agree.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. If enough people want it, I'll surely try out that content. It'd be easy to do and good filler content if I get hung up with other things.
While most youtubers waste their time and money on stupid things and stuff that won't last long its good to see you're investing in real estate and building foundations for your family's future. Way to go man 👌
Kyle, you were one of the first automotive RUclips channels that I started following and that inspired me to start my own channel. I'm so happy to see so many positive things happening in your life and can't wait to see what you have in store for the future!
No word on the Viper! You still have it I hope. It’s such a gorgeous spec I was just confused when you didn’t mention it so I went back and searched all your videos. Last one I found was the PPF video, but nothing about selling it or anything? Love all your videos, you make awesome content no matter the subject. I’ve used your videos for years to help me daydream about what it would be like to own and daily drive certain vehicles. Congrats on the house 🏠 super excited to see it come together and watch you and Crystal do most of the work. Anyway have a blessed day Kyle and lets us know about the Viper!
MrBeanHeavyontheMr he sold the Viper a couple years back but didn’t do a dedicated video on it. Used those funds toward the 240, property purchase, and shop build, among other things, I’m assuming.
Great job on the house progress Kyle, can't wait to see it finished. As for the the cars I personally never liked the idea of the sound system in the Jimmy because of it's "all original" style. I agree it'll fit much better in the crew cab like you said. I believe the Jimmy gets more views than the 240SX is because it's an oddity to see one being restored and being taken care of like you've done. As for the 240SX if you need a break from it just do it and don't worry about disappointing people. I know when it's finished it will be the best 240SX around.
I’m super happy for everything you have going for you Kyle. And frankly, and I’m sure most of your other fans would agree, I’m happy with whatever project content you put out whenever you want. I enjoy them all for their own reasons. I’m just happy to watch your vehicle projects, period!
You're a helluva guy, Kyle. I'm such a fan of your work and your work ethic. I plan to do a project car or 2 when I retire. It's something I've always wanted to do, but never had enough spare time or spare money lol. Your quality content is truly an inspiration, though. Please don't worry about the pace of this project or that project. Believe me when I say, your viewers will be highly appreciative of whatever you decide to upload.
don't get overwhelmed Kyle slow down we have patience we love watching your videos the project cars can wait until you have time focus on building your house, for now, I am so happy that you have come this far love you videos Man congrats on the new house
Thank you for sharing your good life and projects with us! Really enjoyed all your videos. So happy and thrilled for you. Wish nothing but the best for you and your future.
1. Finish the house first 2. Finish the jimmy suv 3. Fix whatever issues the s10 extended cab has and put it to the side 4. Sttart work on the crew cab Thats what i would do. If you do have time you can do some stuff to the 240 and maybe start planning the chevelle. That way you're not stressing yourself out.
That video went fast. It was full of information and many updates. I look forward to the things being done to Jimmy. Congrats on the house and making progress. Take your time with all things and understand and know your limitations. Your Sierra Denali is indeed loaded. You have a lot of content to keep you busy too. I now understand why you moved where you did. You do your thing Kyle and I will keep watching.
I recently got an 85 s10 4x4 4 speed 2.8 with 150k miles and it’s been a blast driving to and from work in. I am starting to understand your passion for them! I hope to get it cleaned up nicely. Even getting close to the jimmys condition would be sweet! Keep the uploads coming!
So glad to see your doing the s10 crew cab right. I love these 1st gen s-series as well. I have my 88 reg cab short bed that my dad bought new in november of 87 (i was 7 years old at the time). I still have the polaroid pic (dad, mom and me standing in front of the truck) from the dealer they gave to every customer. Looking forward to the upcoming builds!
If I had the ability to give it the love, I'd be doing it. I'm just making sure I get all of the parts together so when the bay is painted, everything can go in relatively quick.
Kyle, keep this awesome work up. You're becoming quite the tradesman learning all this new and somewhat difficult stuff. It is overwhelming but you'll be so pleased with the results. I'm a huge Nissan guy but I also love my square body GM vehicles.
Loved the update Kyle. Don't stress over the 240, sometimes the best projects take the longest or we get too ambitious and get in over our head. It took me 10 years to finish a project of mine. Combination of time, money and skill. Jut put it aside, take a deep breath and worry about what makes you happy at the moment. I am loving the S10/Jimmy stuff but then again, I too have a same obsession with these trucks as well. (I seem to collect them like you do lol) Once I finish up my Typhoon driveability upgrades, ill take it on a road trip to NC ;)
Thanks man, I appreciate that! I've always wanted to get in a Typhoon, send me an email if you head this way! I'm about an hour north of Charlotte 😎👍 Need to film a review of one!
Completely agree with you, as far as the car projects. Take your time on the 240SX. it's the same here with my '74 Celica, it's going to take a lot of time and careful work to get it done right. I'm with you on the sound system in the Jimmy; I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical on the whole audio build going into that car, as it seemed a little...extreme, for it. That stuff ABSOLUTELY belongs in the crew cab S10! Whatever you do, I'm always excited to see it! Good luck with the house and cars, and keep up the good work!
I've decided to go ahead and do the sound system because I've been excited for it for so long. I've already gone this far so might as well finish it and come up with something fresh for the crew cab later. I won't be at the point to do sound stuff in the crew cab anyway till it's running and driving. That's my goal for this year. Thank you!!
We moved to the country 10 Acres (zoned agricultural) 5 years ago and will never look back at the city! Get yourself a commercial zero turn mower for the future! Best of luck Kyle!
This was a fun one to watch.. reminded me a bit of your old school start up videos at your families car lot, back in the old days... thanks for posting.. Sound system in the crew cab makes more sense to me..
Looks like you are having so many stuffs in yout mind, keep calm and get everything be done step by step slowly man, recharge when ever you have time, dont be stress
You got a lot going on. Been following you for a long time. Got an idea, you show us what you want us to see. Some days you might to show us progress on the house and the next time the cars.
I might just do that, thanks so much for the support! I think diving back into some car reviews will help alleviate some burden too, especially with doing the old style once again
I'm with ya brother, I was born in NYC but raised in upstate NY in the country. When I was a little kid I hated it and dreamt of living in NYC again. Now that I'm older I couldn't think of something worse. Ain't nothing like the great outdoors with the freedom and privacy that comes with living in the country.
I love the 240sx videos you do aswell as the jimmy series if you could down the line please continue with the 240sx videos its the cleanest and most perfect build iv watched, iv always wanted to do the same stuff your doing with your cars keep it going.
Make a few jumps with all that dirt, have a hooptie mobile race course. Kinda like the old top gear tv show...where the stig would race different cars for a time.
i love the let her run tee that I just got. Amazing quality. Also, take your time, we're all happy that you're having fun with the new house and everything, so if you need breaks, we totally understand. Keep up the good work man.
As for the Jimmy, I think you're right to push the sound system off to the crew cab. It's going to fit the character much better. With the 240, take your time and relax. I don't know if you watch Cody's Lab, but he's going through some serious burnout himself - don't let that happen to you. You don't want to grow to resent doing the channel or doing the cars just because of that.
You're so right about that. I'm teetering on the line for sure. Not due to anything in particular, it's more youtube in general. I just need a good outlet lol.
I'm so jealous of your S-10's! You have much better luck finding nice ones in your area! California is not so easy, plus they need to be smog legal :( So many people dump V8 engines in them. The only new car my late father ever bought was a 1982 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe! I love the 4.3, but love the flat dash! I'd guess I would drop a 3.4 V6 in it with a better carb and still be able to pass smog.
It's your channel, do what you want to. You're working on building the house? You can video that. Want to practice welding steel, then aluminum? Make stuff for the house, for your wife, for yourself and show us what you learn.
Especially for the money involved in doing it, the jimmy just seems like a waste at this point. I'll have to pull it all out if I sell it anyway, that would be a tremendous amount of work lol.
I never knew the 240SX was that, well, deep of a build. By all means take a break! Besides, dream house building is a priority since that ball is rolling. :-)
As I said in the video, I hadn't made a decision yet, but you'll be happy to know that I am going through with it. Should have some audio content coming in the next couple of weeks or so!
You wouldn't be able to use the sundown X in the crew cab, you'd need shallow mounts. Unless you wanted to do a "blow-through". But hey, that might be a radical solution for a radical truck.
Hello Mr Saabkyle from Sweden, you were the first youtuber I began watching car reviews from. I enjoyed watching the older Cadillacs and the Chevrolet Caprice you drove. I still watch your uploads but I enjoy more now your “garage uploads “ and unboxing of car tools and of course your house project. Take care/
Congrats Kyle. It's a fantastic investment for the long term to invest in real estate and build in a place like this with all the space you need to make your dream come true. Looking forward to seeing the progress on the house and the workshop!
Just putting it out there I know probably dont but if u could use another or even use the frame for the red s10 that is rusted out u that have . I have a clean white 1992 Chevrolet s10 Tahoe addition short bed 2wd has 337000 miles no rust very clean Solid Truck it has a 2.8 5speed still runs and drives but I'm pulling the 2.8 engine out to keep for my 85 s10 build . The truck doesn't have a title but a very good parts truck asking $400 just thought I throw that in there just in case u wanted or ever might wanted to buy another one for parts lol never know . I'm about a hour away I would send pic but can't on here . Love to see and watch these s10 videos and the gmc Jimmy stuff it really helps with my s10 build and can't wait to see more of them . 🛠
My first truck was a 93 Dakota 3.9 V6, and first car a 93 Ford Taurus...so many headaches that I wouldn’t want to own anything from that time ever again, but maybe I chose the wrong vehicles to start my car ownership career
@@saabkyle04 I know, I am watching that part right now. But I am writing because I hope you don't forget it because the jimmy is getting more attention. love to see your projects. it makes me want to do something similar, and I am already planning :)
If you're watching then you know I didn't forget haha. It's all I've been thinking about, just don't have the capacity to make progress right now till I get help. As far as the attention, I have to give more attention to the things that do better than the rest. Thank you for the support bud!
Saabkyle04 Totally understand where you’re going with that. The other project sounds like a bigger project. The Jimmy does deserve at least some new speakers though😁✌️

So happy for your progress!
Thank you!
Building a bit of a Hooptie fleet there Kyle. Might want to call Hoovies Garage.
Congrats Kyle. It's a fantastic investment for the long term to invest in real estate and build in a place like this with all the space you need to make your dream come true. Looking forward to seeing the progress on the house and the workshop!
Thank you so much my friend!
Dude! In your own pace. Whatever you decide to do is fine by me. I'll watch.
Thanks a lot!
@@saabkyle04 My pleasure, sir!
Yess im so happy for you kyle
My first truck was a 93 Dakota 3.9 V6, and first car a 93 Ford Taurus...so many headaches that I wouldn’t want to own anything from that time ever again, but maybe I chose the wrong vehicles to start my car ownership career
get the 240 done!!!! i wanna see the process
Please watch till the end of the video, your concerns will be addressed
@@saabkyle04 I know, I am watching that part right now. But I am writing because I hope you don't forget it because the jimmy is getting more attention.
love to see your projects. it makes me want to do something similar, and I am already planning :)
If you're watching then you know I didn't forget haha. It's all I've been thinking about, just don't have the capacity to make progress right now till I get help. As far as the attention, I have to give more attention to the things that do better than the rest. Thank you for the support bud!
Old school owner. Rocking with old cars that I love watching
Awesome!
Damn I was looking forward to seeing the Jimmy get a sound system 😕
Yeah I figured there would be some. Don't you think what I was talking about made sense though?
Saabkyle04 Totally understand where you’re going with that. The other project sounds like a bigger project. The Jimmy does deserve at least some new speakers though😁✌️
I've been waiting also
Wow, that Ford starts up better than anything else!!
No kidding! That thing is a gem!
