- When I was 20 years old, I moved to Florida, all by myself. A lot of people out there seem to be struggling with this very same issue. So if you are moving to Florida and leaving your family behind, in this video, I will discuss how I handled it in the past, what to expect and how I still handle it today.

Leaving your family behind to move to Florida or anywhere else for that matter, is probably going to be the toughest thing you've ever had to do in your life. The thing is though, there is no easy way to do this.
If you know in your heart that this is the right move for you and it's just something you must do in order to move your life forward, then you just have to DO IT! NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS!!
Trust me there are going to be naysayers. You're going to have close friends and family that try to convince you not to do it for whatever reason. And it can be very tough to ignore that. Trust me I know I went through this.
But the thing is, you only get one life and no one can tell you how to live it. So if you know that moving somewhere new or moving to Florida is going to have a positive impact on your life for the better then you have no choice but to follow through with it.
I personally have no regrets and it has now been a little over 12 years since I moved to Florida all by myself. I get into more detail in this in the video and I hope you enjoy this type of video from me. Let me know in the comments :)

@@rayshonhutchison3114 That is pretty awesome that you were able to get that feeling from my video. Really glad it helped you 😀
I legit have felt the same exact way since the same age only it has taken me 20 years to realize I need to actually make the move from the northeast, but guess what ---> see you in FL next month! :) Thanks for the videos.
@@jay.001 I would say better late than never. Happy to hear my videos have helped you with your decision 👌
Oh man this one resonates so much with me. I was 33 years old in Rochester New York, hating winter, hating my life, working two crap jobs in a town with a "you're born...you work... you die" mentality. The dream job of your typical Rochesterian was working in the factory at Delco or at Kodak on the assembly line. I did get a job at Kodak, I lasted a year and a half. Three revolving shifts with no life. When you live in Rochester and you quit Kodak, which doesn't happen, you might as well have a large Scarlet K emblazoned on your chest. I was helping support my sweet little sister and my mother in our crappy duplex in a shitty neighborhood across from a train trestle and a slaughterhouse. If you think that sounds depressing, you can times that by 10. My grandmother owned the duplex. She lived next door with her son , my uncle, who was in his 60s and a bitter miserable person. All I had to do is look next door to see what my future was going to be. I waited until my little sister got married to a great guy that she's still married to , I gave her away at her wedding, got my mother situated in a better situation, and took the hell off over 30 years ago and never looked back. it wasn't easy. My mother, God bless her, was a manipulative, very sad lady from a horrible childhood also, and when I said I was leaving , she told me she was going to commit suicide. Well, she didn't commit suicide, I made sure she was okay when I left but I left. Best thing that I ever did! I was a sad, lonely person with zero confidence and slowly but surely I reinvented myself. I'm still a loner in many ways and prefer alone time 80% of the time and there's nothing wrong with that. But, I blossomed in so many ways and discovered hidden talents that would have never come out back in Rochester, I'm sure of it. I highly encourage people, take the risk and don't settle. You'll regret it. I'm not suggesting anyone shirk responsibilities , but you could hopefully do what I did, get everyone situated and then create an opportunity where you can leave. I continued to help my mother financially once I moved, as I did my little sister. I go home to visit every few years even though my mother is now gone. But, if you're thinking you don't like your life and that moving will improve it, you're probably correct.
That is a heavy story Frank and I can only imagine how depressing that must have been for you. The fact that you stuck around as long as you did says a lot about your character and your love for family, especially your sister. But that moment you realized that taking off would be the best idea and actually following through with it changed your whole life. If you would have stayed back in Rochester you would have been miserable most likely
@@MichaelBordenaro thanks Michael. I'm just a human in progress. LOL. It's all a learning experience hopefully, resulting in a happier and healthier us and a decent human being to others. I believe in being kind to others, especially those trouble during need, and we always help within our limited means. I'm always working I'm being a better person.
@@cookingartguy2170 I like that, we are all a work in progress and being kind to others is super important and a big part of the theme on this channel. I really want to give everyone who watches as much good info / advice as I can, and of course its all free right here on youtube 👌
Thank you! I’m 33 and have been seriously considering packing up and starting fresh, I’m doing it.
@@pixelobservations good for you. I highly recommend it. I believe change is a great motivating factor and propels you into things that you probably didn't know you had talents in. I would recommend listening to your heart and not listening to well-intentioned people who might try to talk you out of it for practical reasons. If you fail you fail on your own and at least you tried. But you won't fail!
Your situation at that time of being mentally gone from Illinois is the exact same thing I'm currently going through. Mentally, I'm already gone from new york and I'm already mentally focused on moving to Florida.
That’s the way to do it. It makes breaking away a lot easier but also just helps a lot when it comes to looking forward to your new life👌
Dude, look at where you at now. It's a beautiful place where you wanted to be and you look happy. You took the challenge and for a happier lifestyle. Nowadays, distance does not matter anymore, it is love that always brings you and your loved ones together no matter where.
That is so true.🙏❤️
Very well said Brent 👌 I couldn't agree with you more! I am happy and glad I made the move when I did. I know the older people get and the longer you stay somewhere, the harder it can be. Hopefully all the right people will see this video.
Just left Illinois this morning to move to tampa, your video has put my small fears and worries in the dirt. I left for the same reasons and I need to keep reminding myself that and be extremely grateful towards my family for getting me to where I am today too thank you for this video it means more than you know.
Michael Smart Move! So many people stay at a place that was not their choice. Moving to Miami is a HUGE move up! Illinois is cold and windy. I bought a place in Fort Lauderdale and hope to be back in November
Thank you! Yes, I am very happy that I made the move all those years ago. I knew that if I didn't do it back then, it would be much harder if I would of waited. It definitely is a step up from back home! Of course I miss everyone there and some things from home that I can't get here, but I don't miss the day in the life there 😉 Ft Lauderdale is great, go to Primanti's pizza next time you're back (if you haven't been already) That is my favorite pizza I have found in Florida!
Yes, mentally I’ve been gone for over a year. I’m 30m living in wisconsin working in commercial real estate. I plan to make the move in less than a year. I cannot wait.
Oh yes I can totally relate to that feeling. Sounds like its definitely time! I wish you a swift move my friend
@@MichaelBordenaro thank you
@@jackhubert You're welcome😊
I totally feel you buddy. I moved 8000 miles to where I am and I can’t be happier.
Good for you! That is extremely far away from home and took a tremendous amount of courage 💪
The Earth at the equator is about 25,000 miles so you moved about 1/3 the way around the world, if you did a lap...basically NY to India!
Perfect timing!!! Just what I needed to hear today:)
Excellent so glad I could make your day😀
Ironically it was the opposite for me... I left a really dead part of north florida to chase a life in Chicago.
3 years later, half of my family now lives in Miami and I’m starting to get excited about the idea of living in South Beach and settling down near them. Life takes a lot of twists and turns, but I’ll never regret the leap I took of moving 1300 miles away from home. Best thing I ever did.
Wow that is quite the opposite! I know exactly what you mean about not regretting making the move. I also feel like it was the best choice I ever made too. Sounds like south beach is calling your name
I will move in Florida very soon. I had hard car incident in September and it was long way to recover. And I can't fall dawn now when it snowing o slippery. And I decided to move in Miami because I have one freand there.. Your videos are very inspirational 👏 for me!
Hi Diana, sorry about your accident, that's terrible. Sounds like living in Miami will be good for your health! I am happy to be an inspiration for you 😀
This video just helped me mentally so much. I’ve been watching all your videos because I relate to your story. I am pretty miserable living in Toronto weather where we don’t see any sun for 6 to 8 months. And like you said, I have no interest in the activities available.
So I’m just preparing myself mentally by trying to decide what I want in life. And just like you I just want to be outdoors.
I'm really glad to hear that the video helped you. I knew there would be others out there who felt similar and could relate. All you can do is start planning what your next move is and stick with the plan and make it happen
I'm pretty sure everyone in Illinois has already mental moved.
Definitely anyone that has been thinking about it anyways. I know I mentally moved quite a bit before actually doing it
💯
When I first left California I had absolutely no problem leaving family. However, I do understand that some people actually have good family's. Relocating is a mind trip, but everything gets better with time.
After two years in a given location, you'll experience all the phases of culture shock. Then you'll begin to assimilate into the very things you found repulsive lol. It's all about having a good time and enjoying the experience wherever you go.
Yes its not always easy to leave behind a good family life. Some people stay in their hometown their whole life, just for that! I know people like that. But its true, you do get used to where you end up and its all about enjoying the journey if you do move 😎
Moving from Chicago to Orlando area this winter. Anyone young 20-30s want to connect, DM me!
I’m 22 and moving to Orlando in August . So excited but nervous about a new place and leaving my siblings
We left Illinois and moved to the southeast June 2022 and thank God everyday!
We were mentally gone for years prior as well. We had trouble making true friends there. People seemed very depressed and sad in Illinois. The horrible weather, the barren landscape, the corruption, all contributed to that. Not one person we knew liked living there and it showed. We worked hard for years sending resume after resume, interview upon interview. It was all worth it.
Watching this for the 2nd time. I'm about to leave Illinois and my family here, and moving to St. Augustine. Been a dream for a long time now, but im sitting here wondering if I made the right decision. But I'll never know if I don't try.... and I think I'll be happy where I'm gonna be at. Just gonna miss my mom and dad so much. Thanks to face time I can always see them
It is very tough Drew, but as time goes on if you enjoy your new home, it will get easier and thats exactly right, you have facetime and can talk as much as you want
I personally was never close to my father, so it will be easier for me to move out of state once I graduate from college.
As sad as that is, it is good that it will make the move away easier for you 👍
Thank you. I needed this ❤🙏🙏
Leaving in 15 days ! Duval county here I come .
Oh nice! Excited for you! I remember that feeling. Getting ready to leave and start a new life. Exhilarating ! 😀
I’m a 17 year old kid, and this would be something I would love to do when I get in my 20s. It will be hard to move away from family, but this is me, and I’m going to follow my dreams :)
Sounds like you have pretty much the same mindset I did when I was your age. You got to do what feels right for you. Wish you nothing but luck following your dreams
I'm 17 about to make the move from Cali to Florida
Thank you so much for sharing these videos. This was just what I needed to commit.
Wow you are very welcome Krista! This is exactly the type of feedback I was hoping for on a video like this. I’m thrilled to know that it has helped you😀

Thanks for sharing. I'm coming up on our move date and thisnis really helpful to hear stories about people that have lived it and how you're doing now. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for making this video. I am planning on moving somewhere warm in 2021 but the thought of leaving family can be hard. I needed to see this video. Happy New Year!
You're welcome! I knew that had to be others out there struggling with this. It is a really tough call to make. Hopefully it gave you a little clarity. Happy New Year Jack!!
Thanks positive 🙏🙏
You’re welcome hope it helps you😊
I'm revenge moving to Florida in a few months. Something to do with a "friend" who ended up just being a dead-end friend/useless. I'm sick of deadbeat people who have bad social lives and scared of outdoors, have no friends, have no ambition, and have such massive predictability with them.
Ouch! Not sure if that is right reason to move. Only if being here will make YOU happy. Who cares what it makes the other person feel like. But if it's been on your list of things to do, then by all means. I got tired of those personality types too. I have met a few a long the way back in IL
You nailed it🎯
Thank you Ken!!
Cant wait to move to florida next month and leave everybody behind no more headaches and people being miserable 24/7!around me. It’s so annoying lol
Man I know how that goes! Sounds like you'll be much happier here 👌
Excellent advise from someone who is living it. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thank you Harry!
Thank you!
Hello Michael I’ve just watched this old video and it’s one of the best reviews you’ve done. Excellent advice Sir
Thanks a lot Peter that one definitely came from the heart😊
Great video, Michael! I am happy to see that your channel is growing, you're almost at 1k! I commented on your video months ago how I was going to make the jump to Miami Beach. I ended up taking the leap, I packed my car and headed down there in February. I had interviews going, found the place where I wanted to live after seeing it in person. I was so happy and excited. And then the Corona Virus came and my plans had to change :( .. I am back home with my parents in Memphis, Tennessee until this virus settles down and employers are doing interviews again.
Thank you Robert! I am thrilled too! This is very exciting for me, and I am proud that I was able to stick with it and make it happen to 1000 😀 Sorry to hear about what happened here. No one could have predicted this. Fact, the same exact thing happens to a client of mine last month. He moved here all the way from Spain had a job and everything and then two weeks later the virus stuff happened. The job let him go and now he is back in Spain. At least you're not the only one. Just make sure when it's all done to try again 👍
I’m so glad you said don’t worry about what ppl say I did that before and it kept me, so I’m not saying anything till I’m there for a few days haha! Only mama knows bc she is most important to me ❤️
Oh that is clever! That is definitely one way to handle it. Especially if you were stopped before by naysayers. Nice one👌
Michael Bordenaro thanks! I hope someday I can visit Miami too! But I just wanna get in Florida and situated ASAP lol and the joys of transferring the plates etc.
This is so true! We just purchased a home in Ft. Myers, Florida! Getting ready to go down and start filling it up with furniture etc. I cannot wait! I won’t get to live there full time for another year but hey... this is a great start right? 😉. We’ve been visiting family there for 20 years. Shared parenting, and now my husbands retirement delayed our journey.. but we are FINALLY getting to make the move! So wished we could have done it sooner but hey. Florida has “spoke” to me for years. I live in Northern Ky and I hate hate hate the weather here! I get whet you said “6 months of winter”... that’s exactly how it is... I’m so over it! I love being outside, Palm trees, all the beauty Florida has to offer. We cannot wait! 🏝☀️❤️
Very cool story! So glad your dream of living in FL is finally coming true, congrats!!!😀
R Brandenburg Woohooo!! Congrats!😎☀️👏🎉🥳
This is really my biggest concern. I'm planning on a move to St. Pete this fall and I have such a great friend group but am so over MN winters and need some new in my life. I tell myself that I can always return but don't want to regret not trying!
It is a tough call because you’re up rooting your life and leaving everyone you love behind. But if that’s what you really want you’ll realize it’s the right decision after doing it
I very much enjoy watching your videos they are so positive and encouraging. I'm planning to leave Canada to relocate to Florida but I'm just in a very beginning stage. Thanks so much for your videos!!
I really love hearing that from my viewers. In turn, it is very encouraging to me, to keep bringing you the best videos I can, that you really enjoy. Happy you found me, and that you are liking the content 😀
Hi Silva. I’m in Canada too and was in Florida in March searching for homes for our move this summer. Then Covid hit and now I’m not sure if we will move this summer. My daughter has to enroll in school so we would have to move by August. The thing that concerns me is that our green card extension expires in September and we would have to ask for another extension. And with how Trump is treating foreigners, I’m afraid we will lose our green cards and then never be able to move down.
@@evap9409 Hi Eva! And thank you for your message. I'm sorry to hear your situation. I really hope it all works out for you! Think positive and everything will be ok. Your green card shouldn't expire due to covid, in my opinion
It's not fair. Where are you in canada? I'm in mississauga/ Toronto. Heres my email if youd like to stay in touch. Matijasic.russo@gmail.com best of luck to you!
Great video, well said👍🏾
Thank you! Glad you think so😊
Your videos starting appearing in my feed shortly after I started research on moving out of Michigan. (Thank goodness!) this video as others shared felt as if you were speaking directly to me. I lay awake at night wondering if this is the right thing to do but as you said if I’m already gone mentally, I might as well take the leap of faith! Thank you for your candor and insight! I enjoy all of your videos.
Recently I’ve been researching Marco Island /Naples. I’m a bit older (50) and asking if this is a good area.
What a wonderful comment Colleen! I appreciate it very much, and I am very happy to hear that the videos are helping you😀 I don't want to sound agist, but if you are looking to be around an older crowd, then Naples and Marco Island are excellent choices for you. Both are laid back, and low key areas without much crime and definitely allow for quiet enjoyment.
Michael Bordenaro thank you for your reply; very comforting.
Let me know if you visit that area anytime soon along with any moving tips to secure a small rental unit. Thanks again!
@@colleenkelley4695 Yes, absolutely! I do plan on making a trip to Marco Island in the near future. My biggest tip for you looking for a rental, is I would stick with using realtor.com mainly because the listings will all be legitimate. You can use Zillow and Apartments.com, but there are a lot of fake listings on those sites, and can make the process more draining and even make it possible to be scammed. Definitely do not use craigslist lol!
I love watching your videos. Thanks for the great content! September 22 is my last day in Vegas. Hubby and I just bought a home in the West Coast of Florida. We decided to rent out our home in Vegas. I love Florida and I can’t wait!!!!
Thanks a lot and good for you! That is right around the corner, so you'll be in FL in no time. Good luck on your upcoming move😀
Michael Bordenaro Thanks 🙏🏻
@@franceslovesnene No problem😊
Thank you for mentioning that your Family still is a priority in your life. Time with loved ones is often far too short!

Great video 👍🏼
Thank you very much! Happy you enjoyed it😊
Hi Mike, just getting caught up on your videos. As my wife and I was watching this one & seen the posts she said " look someone else wants to get out of Ohio also " then I told her it was my post. Lol , thanks for the videos, when things open up let's see more beaches, landscaping, and some exotic cars. Stay blessed Dan
Glad you are catching up on them Dan! I guess your wife has been daydreaming so much about leaving Ohio, that she didn't notice the comment was yours LOL. Really looking forward to getting out to new places for videos once all this is over. I think that will be a blast 😀
Thanks Michael. I've been watching a lot of your videos on Florida and I'm ripping the Band-Aid off this coming Monday. I'm moving to the Ocala area by myself. Lived almost my whole life in Minnesota. I lived in Houston Texas for a couple years and really loved it down there but was a teenager at the time. I think I just belong in the south and in warmer climates. I picked Ocala primarily because of riding my ATV in the national forest and fishing. Also because it's only an hour and a half away from everything. i'd love to live closer to the ocean but at my age, retirement is right around the corner and this will be my last house. I'd prefer to minimize the risk of expensive damage to it. Right now I drive about an hour and 10 minutes to ride my ATV in northern Minnesota. To go to the beach it's only an hour and 40 minutes in riding ATV is only 30 minutes away. Can't wait to get down there
You're awesome Brotha man. I feel like I'm being spoken to personally in this video haha But it'd be the same way with me, I'm from Arizona but living in Salt Lake and when I make that move im gonna be leaving all my family in AZ. Couldn't have came across your channel in more perfect timing though. Thank you Sir!! 🤝👍😁😁
Thank you very much Jesus! That’s exactly what I was going for and I’m really glad you were able to relate to this video on a personal level with me. It is a tough thing to leave everyone you love behind, but sometimes it’s necessary to move forward in life✌️
Wonderful share thank you🙌🏽🙏🏽❤
Thanks for watching!
Just did the same thing from NYC to Boca Raton.
Good for you for making the leap!!
I lived in Miami beach in 2012 and now been living in Michigan for 5 years.
I HATE winters....
You should think about coming back if you don’t like it in Michigan👍
I'm 30 years old and in a transition period from moving to California to hopefully Florida. I made a pit stop in Washington DC area living with my parents and I have brought up that I would like to move to Florida soon, but they just kind of brush it off and don't understand why, or they change the subject really quickly. They really like having me around so I think they are worried about losing me or thinking I may go down to Florida and fall flat on my face. I think you are right that you just have to go for it. I am an adult and I can make my own decisions. I love my parents and I am grateful they raised me right as a child, but it's time to do something I want to do as an adult. I am worried about disappointing them and my Grandmother who lives in the DC area, but again, I am an adult and can make my own decisions for what is best for me.
I think you are brilliant at such a young age, I love your advice and sharing it with my kids! Thank you! I am a native Floridian, born and raised in West Palm Beach and you have shined a light on the fact that we take Florida- for granted... we forget how beautiful and stunning it is, also don’t seek out and overlook all of the opportunity there is right here at our fingertips... thank you so much for “waking me up” at 53! I think the second half of my life is going to be wonderfully made because of you and I can’t thank you enough.... I feel as though I’ve been given back something that I forgot about and took for granted for way too long... you are so inspiring! 😊😘
This is by far, one of the nicest comments I've ever seen on the channel. Thank you so much ! Your comment, inspires me, to really make the best videos I can and keep making more people like yourself feel this way. I am honored to do it, and grateful for viewership and such kind words😀
Always appreciate Florida, there are so many terrible places in the world and even in our country, and we are lucky to be here, despite it's issues. So nice to hear from a native Floridian also

Michael Bordenaro ❤️ thank you for the kind reply! You’re awesome! Your Mom and family must be so proud of you! 😊
Absolutely, yes I’m pretty sure she is, even though I know she misses me since I’m not there anymore
Michael Bordenaro I’m sure she does! Does your family ever come to visit?
Loved it
Thanks!!
I just don't like the very cold weather in the winter time in Chicago any more. But in the summer time it is great in Chicago. So, that is where I am besides this current big problem that the world has now!!!!!
I feel the same! I love it up there in the summer and hope to visit more often in summer time👍
Thanks. Continue with success in the Miami RE Market. And be safe from this virus problem.
@@LMays-cu2hp Will do, and you stay safe also!
You are welcome. At least it was 90 degrees here in Chicago today but not as humid as it was over the last few days. I know the warmth in Miami is so good. We were always in North Beach on my layovers. I do miss putting my candles in my hands hanging and walking with sand between my toes. Thanks again.
Hi Michael, I’m 15 and I recently moved from Belgium to Florida. I used to live with my mom in Belgium, but I realized that I wasn’t happy. The weather sucks and I couldn’t really do much do to the many COVID restrictions in Belgium. I eventually decided to move in with my dad, who had moved to the United States a few years prior. I wasn’t sure how my family and friends were going to react, and I was quite scared of doing it because I didn’t want to hurt them. Then I stumbled onto this video in my recommended, and your video inspired me to go through with it and move to Florida to live with my dad. Thanks to you I had the courage to live my life the way I wanted to, thank you so much for that!😄
Ps: Your channel is super underrated, you deserve millions of subscribers for the great advice you give to people that are struggling!
Hi Gillio, thanks so much for sharing your story here! I am so proud of you for having the courage to make such a giant leap at a young age like that. This decision will affect the whole course of your life, and most likely in a positive way. I am happy to be a small part of your journey and helping give you that little nudge you needed to move here. I hope you're happy here in FL! Thanks so much for kind wishes on the subs, maybe one day it will happen 😀
@@MichaelBordenaro thank you so much man 🙏👍👍
How is it so beautiful down there? It's pouring here! LOL No regrets, I agree. I'm lucky enough to have most of my family down here but still left behind a number of loved ones and friends. It just makes visits back that much more fun and great when they come down. Those are some awesome shades btw!
I shot this a few days ago when the weather was pristine 😉 It's been raining all day here too. You are definitely lucky to have a good chunk of your family with you here. But you're totally right. It makes the time you do get to spend with everyone that much more special. I know, I love these shades too!😎
It sucks here. Humid expensive. Rude people. Covid. Low paying jobs. Great for vacations but not life. Lots of drugs and alcohol.
Almost 1000 subscribers 🤩👏🏻 Only 9 to go.
Yes almost there!! Super excited and proud I was able to do it :)
Hey Michael...I can relate to what you are saying but I chose the other route....To not go, when I had the chance, in my twenties....And Yes, I do regret it. I should've.
That's tough Rob, I sometimes think about where I would be if I did not make the leap, and it's not a good feeling. But all you can do, is do something about it now.
I was born & raised in California but it's too expensive now to raise a family here. Houses in my area are at least 600,000, we can't afford that. So now my husband and I are heading to Texas where my in laws are, leaving everything we've ever known. I'm so afraid but I know my kids deserve a better environment. When they're a bit older we'll consider moving to Colorado, Oregon or Florida.
It’s sad that it’s come to that. It takes a lot of guts to move your family halfway across the country. But it’s nice to know you’re looking out for your children first and their future so your heart is in the right place
@@MichaelBordenaro Aww, thank you!
Nice mike! Good to call you mike? Lol bro good video. Man so good news came thru past week ! moving end of May my man get ahead of the game. Ready to get down and get work started. Maybe things will be a bit more tame by then
Hey Jake, you can call me Mike! People called me Mike a lot back home, no big deal 👍 That is great news man! It seems like a lot of people coincidentally are able to get their move done in the very near future, even with all the craziness. Happy to hear that😀
Michael Bordenaro ya bro it’s awesome better to just go for it now. Keep you posted keep the videos coming brother. I’ll have to snatch some shades honestly thought they were costas at first.
@@madeinusa1576 Yes, definitely go for it now while you can 👍 I will certainly keep the videos coming and if you do buy the shades, I really appreciate it in advance 😀
Thanks for your video. Hehehe. It is not hard for me because I traveled for 11 years with the airline. I have family in Florida and California. So, I do love the both states. I have been to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami a lot. I have been to L.A. and San Diego many times. So, those two cities are my two selection cities where I would live.
You're welcome! If you are able to bounce back-and-forth between California like that at will, you are living my dream life. DO IT!!!!
Thank you. I come from United Airlines. I have family and close all around the U.S. I like Phoenix but no coastal is there like these others.
That is pretty cool, nice to be able to see the country like that
Everything that your saying relates so much to myself. I’ve been dreaming of living there for like a year or so. Let’s be friends!!! Lol
I figured there were many other people out there feeling the same way. I think we already are friends! Didn't you comment on one of my videos before?😊
Michael Bordenaro Yes that’s so true. I have commented on other video of yours. :).
I do enjoy your video's, I get to see the different parts of FL., I would like to see low income, to live not vacation, not on the beach.
Thanks! I do have something like that planned for the future. Like some of the cheapest places to live here in Florida. Glad you enjoy the videos 😊
I can relate a lot with what you said. I moved to Miami in 1990 I was 22 years old and I want the change in my life. I came from a very homophobic town and this was an escape for me. I also had to leave my family and a few friends I had. In the beginning about first 6 7 month it was lonely but I had to get a job I made some friends and start my life I am glad I did it now it's 30 years later I am an adult I own my own apartment and I went through all of the things that grown-up do. I like Florida I like the Melting Pot I don't like that much the heat in the summer but that's why we have AC
Glad you could relate, it sounds like moving here was the right choice for you also. Even though its tough, sounds like it was worth it👍
I'm going to Florida in ten years when I retire. My kids will be spread out all over the USA so it doesn't matter where I live.. I wont see my kids more than a few times a year anyway!. So Im gonna do it.
That is some pretty sensible logic and then all your kids can come visit you in FL 👍
@@MichaelBordenaro Well if the kids aren't around me(they have their own life) at all then why live in a prison home in IL. 6 months of rain, cold, ice, freezing -40 two weeks a year and more rain and ice. Then it's humid for 2 months anyway. I'm gonna try and find a small town 8K-20K size, 30 min from beach and build a nice pimped out place.
@@robertduke5458 Nice! Not too many people build their own house these days. Good choice to get out of IL and come to FL. Best decision I ever made
I have the same exact story as Mikes except I’m from Michigan. I spent 7 years in south beach and 9 years in Fort Lauderdale. Then I moved back to Michigan 5 years ago. The only thing Florida has that’s positive is the heat, everything else is a negative.
Move while your young. I was 22 and had the opportunity to move from SC to CA. But yes missed my family
Ps. Now I live in Pa looking to move to SC again. Lol
Thank you very much, Michael......I'm thinking of moving to Century Village W. Palm Beach. I would appreciate it, if you would tell me what you think of Century Village W. Palm Beach ?? Once again, Thank you for your time and opinion.......Godspeed.....
You're welcome! Well I have never been to Century Village. I looked it up and I see that it is a retirement / 55 and older community. So I am not sure about the actual property / condos there. But as far as the area, I like west palm beach a lot. There are lots of stores and restaurants not far from century village and the beaches are top notch👌
@@MichaelBordenaro Thank you, I really appreciate the information and your opinion.......
@@jimwolfe4286 You're welcome!
I live in Illinois too and I’m moving to North Carolina next month with a roommate. For me, my parents love me to death and I love them, my dad is like my best friend and I have a great relationship with my mom and they’re my biggest supporters in my move. For me, this is making it super difficult emotionally and when the day actually comes I’m going to feel devastated. But this what I want deep inside. There is nothing else for me here. Everything else sucks in this town.
I know the feeling, it is very hard at first. At least your parents are supporting your decision, and I am sure you will visit at least a couple times per year and they can visit you as well. If you know its what you want, there is no changing it my friend
Go for it! Regrets will poison you if you don’t try!
Can you please talk about Love Bug season, and how bad is it? Thanks
I might be able to mention it in a future video, but probably not an entire video just about that👍
@@MichaelBordenarothanks, you're awesome. 🕺
@@Damir9728 You bet, and thank you 🤟
❤️💯🔥🤙
Anyone see that fish jump out the water at 8:49?
Wow! Good one! 👀👍🐟
Thanks is very informational I'm moving to Florida hopefully this year and my family do not want me to move especially my children but I'm out of here and I'm in Michigan. How old are you.
You're welcome! Sounds like you just have to go forward with it then👌 I will be 33 on thursday next week 😀
@@MichaelBordenaro Happy Early Birthday 🎂🎉🎈 to you and May you be blessed abundantly. Your around my children's age 😁. I'm 51 and fabulous my son's friend tried to hit on me and my son snapped ., I started laughing 😂 I didn't date his friend but it was funny. I thought it was cute I'm just saying 😂 enjoy your night.
Thank you very much I appreciate that! I’m sure that made you feel pretty good if your sons friend hit on you LOL. Sounds like your kids are old enough where you’ll be able to move to Florida just fine👍
I have family in okc but I really want to move somewhere outdoorsy but I’m scared to move far from family
It's a tough decision, but ultimately its your life and you have to live it the way you want. If you do move, you can always go back and visit.
Michael Bordenaro- what do you think is prettier, florida or california
They are both very beautiful but just in different ways. California has the mountains especially when you go to the top of a mountain in the views you get from up there. In Florida we’re surrounded by blue water everywhere and greenery palm trees etc.
Where do u buy the sun shades on here?
Hi, he has the link down below on the description 😎😉
Yes that’s right, link is in the description. Thank you if you end up buying 😊
I live in Michigan right now. I want to move for music and help on my depression . I just want to move would 8k do it?
Totally understandable. 8K could be enough but it depends on where you're going to and your standard of living. But I would tell you that you could definitely make it work if you got a good plan
I have no problem leaving these people. xD
Yep I saw someone else in the comments that feels the same way. That should just make it easier for you then👍
I moved 5000 km away from my mother (77) leaving her alone 4 months ago. It's warm and sunny here and I got a good job but the feeling of guilt is haunting me. I am having a good life here and my mother is having a cold 6 month winter with very little sunshine. And she gets angry now telling me to come back as she needs help. I don't want to go back, I just started my new life. It was very hard. Any advice?
You have to do what’s best for you ❤️
Florida is nice for vacation
But California Mexico Colorado better scenery cost of living , career opportunities
No disrespect. By the way... I think u are pretty cute😜
What if you didn't go to college? What type of jobs are in florida?
There are all types of jobs here. The biggest industries are hospitality, medical, and tourism
I fear 40 years old is too late to find a job. I’m a teacher
