I was lucky enough to meet Clive and Bruce at a meet and greet at my local record store. They were touring Number of the Beast, opening for Scorpions. My friend I was with was a starting drummer, and he loved Clive. We met him and my buddy said "This is the best drummer in the world!" Clive actually blushed, he was very humble. He was also very friendly, and he is still one of my favorite drummers.
I'm from Cyprus and I am a metal/rock drummer. Clive was a huge influence for me .... I always wanted to visit Clive's grave as a tribute for all what he delivered to me....!!!! GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
Clive , what a drummer. I played with a guy for years that was spotted by Clive when he was a kid as a drumming talent. I loved the way Burr played , a natural.
✌️Clive Ronald Burr. Thank you for the thunder under your feet. While holding the lightning in your hand. Peace always, and that’s to everyone. We all need it.😎👍
As a Maiden fan from their first album onwards I am grateful to you for showing us Clives resting place. He was a great drummer and a huge part of Maiden history. RIP Clive and Thank Youv🥁🥁

Lucky enough to see Clive play back in the early 80s with Iron Maiden at the then Hammersmith Odeon. Fantastic drummer, another life taken far too early. RIP Clive
Really looking forward to this one Clive was a top drummer with Maiden I think he played on three Maiden albums Iron Maiden Killers and number of the beast
He was an amazing musician I love iron maiden one of my fav bands it's so sad that he died like that and to have his wife with the same illness its horrible such a strong and wonderful man rip Clive thank you again Paul for sharing this video ❤
Oh wow, yes! I think I requested Clive just a week or so after first discovering your channel. It's wonderful to see you're visiting him at last. I've been a huge Maiden fan for most of my life, and Clive is an icon in the world of metal drumming. So many of the genre's greats cite him as a major influence. Really looking forward to 7 o' clock, it should be a treat. :)
@@n1tr0rl._ Until I came across Paul's video on Paul O' Grady's grave by accident around a year ago, I had no idea about the world of grave visiting videos. Unusual Things introduced me to that world, and since then, I've followed many other RUclipsrs who do similar content. And Paul is definitely one of the best who creates this kind of content, that is for sure.
Paul would you fufill my request by visiting the grave of english actor gene wilder please and you are the sweetest kindest most special guy on youtube ♥️♥️
Me as a drummer myself I really respect his different style he did it different than most and what he played on the number of the beast album sorry he is gone
I was 8, in 1975, when my Dad was diagnosed with it at 26 years old (he and my Mom were only 18 when they had me and are still together), so I have an idea of what Clive went through. It's great his former bandmates got together and raised funds for Clive during his descent with this horrible disease! There are many forms, and thankfully, my Dad had the very slow progressing type. I got quite a number of good years out of him where he was still able to be active. By his early 40's, he was using crutches with wrist supports at my college graduation. I had to watch a once strong man slowly deteriorate to the point now where he is going to be 75 in July and in a long term care facility, basically a quadriplegic. However, he has NEVER ONCE complained to me about it, nor have I ever heard him cry the poor mes. He still has his mind and playfully flirts with all of the female staff (not in a dirty way), even jokingly saying to me "Hey Bri! Meet your new Mom!", talking about the cute young 30 something PSW wheeling him down the hallway (I'm old enough to be HER Dad!), for which he got a light slap and a cute smirk out of the woman. He is the staff favorite, with them even fighting to see who gets to feed him meals! My Mother took care of him at home after retiring 10 years ago but it just got to be too much for her. We make sure he knows he is still loved and visits from my Mom, me, and various friends and relatives ensures he is rarely left alone more than a day by himself. It is a terrible disease, but I an thankful he has been around this long to offer guidance, wit and wisdom! He is the strongest man I've ever known! Sorry for the novel, but I'm so proud of him! P.S. Number Of The Beast and Screaming For Vengeance were my first introduction to metal when they were first released, are still my favorites to this day, and glad I could be there in those times. Unfortunately, I didn't see Maiden until the Powerslave tour (my first concert!) Up The Irons!
I'm still amazed at how much Clive influenced the sound of IM. Comparing live performances of songs. I don't want to say better or worse. It's just a different vibe. He could do it, and he did it amazing. R.I.P.
As an Iron Maiden fan this will be a real treat. I became a Iron Maiden fan in 1985 when I arrived in England from Australia as an 8 year old those really were the Golden years of hardcore British Heavy Metal acts with really memorable Concerts and some events going now a days like Donnington,Milton Keynes,Glasenbuey just to name afew and overseas ones like Budkon, Eastern Creek(Sydney). But yeah This is going to be Great Thanks Paul.
Clive Burr is certainly not forgotten. His strength and endurance on the kit was something to behold. He was a major force and I can't think of anyone who matched him in the early 80's.
A local boy to me born in East Ham and I believe the band was formed in one of my local pubs The cart and horses Stratford must admit wasn't a heavy metal fan in my younger days but as I mellow with age coming round to it ... Thanks Paul for a great video ...Gary
Haha! As you mellow! Not a slam, just found it funny. I know what you meant. That's cool you are lucky enough to have been born in the same area and are able to visit the same small pubs they got their start in!
Great video Paul, and thanx for the very lovely tribute to the amazing Clive Burr. He may have only played on 3 Maiden records, but all 3 of those are stone cold classics, and his playing on them is still a wonder to behold. ❤
My favorite Maiden drummer. He had such a powerful groove and created great parts. I wrote a piece on him before and after he died in Modern Drummer Magazine back in the day.
Been a maiden fan since I was 16 years old and I saw iron maiden in Sheffield live in 1982 on their beast on the road tour aged 17.,Clive was the drummer with maiden on this tour and he was a great drummer and always smiling a sad loss , rip Clive 😢 like the video and seeing his peaceful resting place 😢
Oh my, what a sad, sad story. I had no idea about Clive may he rest in peace. MS is an awful disease, my sister in-law has it, but she's fine at the mo. I loved Clive's resting place, the drumsticks were an awesome touch bless him. Thanks Paul 🤗 Xxx
It IS a terrible disease! Make the most of the time you have with her. My Dad was diagnosed at 26 when I was 8. He was reasonably healthy until his mid 40's. He will be 75 in July and my family has been able to enjoy his wit, wisdom and sarcasm all the while dealing with his slow descent. Hopefully your sister-in-law is able to enjoy a long life without it hitting her too hard! God Bless!
Love iron maiden, went to see them live 1980 on the killer tour at Guildford civic, hard to believe I was a rock n roll chick lol looking forward to this one, thanks Paul ❤

What a cruel disease he had. R.I.P Clive. He played with a local band called Spanner at least for a couple of years.
Thanks Paul for this video wot a great group I love iron maiden I was a heavy rocker in my younger days and I even loved status quo was the best group going even to day thanks again ❤
My dad was a fan of Maiden in the late 70s/early 80s, he loved heavy metal and NWOBHM, I was always borrowing his Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Sabbath etc. albums and my friends and I would jump around the basement pretending to be rock stars with cardboard cutout guitars. I actually got a Fender Strat for Festivus in 1981 and traded my hockey gear for a Gibson Les Paul in July '83 but after struggling I traded my guitars and gear for drum lessons in Dec. '83, after a few months I got a drum kit for my birthday in '84. Iron Maiden's Piece Of Mind had just come out with their new drummer Nicko McBrain, that's about the time Iron Maiden went from being my dad's Boomer generation band to my Generation X's band. I learned a lot by listening and playing along to both Clive and Nicko.
Cool video and nice to hear all about Clive Burr. Steve Harris is mates with the landlord in my pub, and he pops in now and then! I'm not starstruck at all! Haha. Also, I like your jacket :)

Hi Paul thank you for showing us where clives resting place, and he was very good drummer, on the 3 album's he did with iron maiden, as maiden is my favourite band of all time , again thank Paul, and rest in peace Clive
Clive is one of my most favourite drummer. He is legendary badass drummer. His playing style is very smooth & unique. 🔥 Miss you Clive. 😢💔😢 No doubt Nicko is also very talented & great drummer. But Clive was another level. 🔥

I had him mixed up with Paul Di'Anno, who was the original Maiden vocalist so thanks for putting a face to the name for me. I remember first seeing Maiden on Top of the Pops in 1984 when they did 'Two Minutes to Midnight'. I've seen them live twice since then, and both times iin the 21st century. And the current drummer is Nico McBrain not McBrian.
I think he was a very underrated drummer and Killers is a great album and the number of the beast. RIP Clive and thanks for another fantastic video Paul 😇🤘🙏
Just great to.have another video I don't remember him but watching this I learned something about someone I'd never heard of that's what these vids are also about thanks roll on next I think I found it love to watch them

Clive recorded the best maiden albums, got to see him 3 times.respect
How can that be? He didn’t play on Powerslave nor Senjutsu or The book of souls.
Yes, the first albums were the best. Modern Maiden (2000 on) is mediocre, jaded and cheesy.
I'm from Cyprus and I am a metal/rock drummer. Clive was a huge influence for me ....
I always wanted to visit Clive's grave as a tribute for all what he delivered to me....!!!!
GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
Congrats for commemorating the extremely underestimated Clive Burr.
Gone but not forgotten R. I. P
Why do u say he is underestimated? Pls explain.
@@jurgencuypers8350Because I feel like he was not given the credit he deserved. I mean listen to Genghis Khan! The guy was a legend!
Pra mim disparado o melhor batera da Donzela. Tinha sangue nos zoios, puro Rock n roll. O Nicko é baterista de jazz.
He was a great drummer. Those first 3 albums were very special. R.I.P
Thank you mate, Clif was a big part of my teenage years. I'm a drummer and still love playing the songs he made with Iron Maiden to this day.
When he left the band no matter the reason. The band never sounded the same. Clive played on the 3 best Maiden albums.
Clive was the drummer of my favorite Maiden albums.
Absolutely love iron maiden. Thank you for showing us his final resting place

Very nice vlog, there’s also a concert tour/festival called Burrfest. Ronnie Lane, former bassist of the Small Faces also had M.S. too
I remember seeing Maiden at what was Portsmouth Polytechnic Student Union. That was a long time ago. Great video Paul, keep up the good work..
Just great to.have another video I don't remember him but watching this I learned something about someone I'd never heard of that's what these vids are also about thanks roll on next I think I found it love to watch them
