Thanks for the video of my uncles grave. Nicely done and such kind words. Lovely to read the comments. My mummy is Jean. Thanks again from me and all the family xx
Thank you so much Shelley, it means a lot to have family members contact me and give me their thanks. 🙏
Wonderful wonderful player. Played snooker the way it should be played. An artist. I had the pleasure of seeing him play Jimmy live. He was really nice after got photos with him etc. Really sadly missed snooker not the same.
RIP no more troubles
Thanks Paul 😊

Hi Shelley I left the Blue and White Silk Flowers on the 22nd May 2023.
Well done again Paul. What a talent Alex was. So sad to see him looking so frail towards the end off his life. RIP 🙏 Alex Higgins.
Thank you for your reply Paul it means a lot. You seem a quality person and I love watching you do what you do. Appreciate everything you do travelling all over the country. Respect 👍🍺
have to admit it did touch a nerve viewing this. sadly missed, never forgotten. one of the greats of the game.
Wow, what a player he was ...greatly missed
He made snooker watchable. Always the fans favourite.
A life well lived but so sad to know he died alone in his flat
I remember seeing him on a program just before he died & was shocked at how thin he was
Thank you Paul for keeping the memory of another legend alive 🙏🏻
They didn't call him Hurricane for nothing, what a legend, gone too soon, sad to see him so fragile at the end but he could still hold the cue and play, rip Alex Hurricane Higgins, you will go down in our history, thank you Paul for a touching, respectful and emotional story of a great man xx
Alex my 2nd all time hero, after Elvis!
Was very lucky to see him play a few times and very lucky to meet and talk to him just the once. Found him to be an extremely polite man and quite shy but that was before he played a match and got beat..but the world of snooker owes this legend everything! There should be a statue outside the crucible in Sheffield, they owe him at least that.
Thankyou Paul !
Thank you for remembering Alex, I rem him coming to my friends house in the early 80’s, he was a childhood friend of her Dads. He was so pleasant to us all, so humble. RIP Alex, we’re proud of you here in Northern Ireland 💚
❤was my hero still playing with my cue. And playing at 56 best wishes from Durham England
Thank you
So are people who aren't Irish r. I. p hurricane
I saw The Hurricane play an exhibition match at our local snooker club in 1981. I was 18 years old at the time. He took on 10 players from the local league beating 9 of them. He was mesmerising to watch and just like his nickname he was fork lightning around the table. Some of the shots he pulled off that night were just unbelievable and the crowd loved every minute of it. The following year he was world champion again. Rest in Peace Alex. P.S. Loved your video on his final resting place. 😢🙏
Who beat him in the local league players?
@@tomwalsh6655 _Himself?_ *Rest in Peace, Alex.* ☘
All the best, Tom. Stay free. Rab 👋
I remember him well. A colorful personality, to say the least. A man with ups and downs, like all of us. He was a magnificient snooker player, with 'panache". He would add that extra spice to the game when he was on a roll. I remember I felt very sad when I first heard the news about his passing, knowing we would never see him playing again. Rest in peace Mr Higgins.
Thanks for entertaining us always greatest utuber always good old alex he is a legend of is time champion 🏆 always 😢 he be in our thoughts and minds always 😢
Thanks a true entertainer always 🏆
Incredible player. Never be forgotten. Charismatic amazing man. R.I. P😢🙏🏻
I wasn't a big snooker fan but when players like Alex Higgins were playing I used to sit glued to the TV. Another well presented video
I only saw Alex once playing Jimmy White in an exhibition at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham in 1982. Superb fast and extertaining play by both players. My late mum bought me the ticket as an 18th birthday present and he brings back happy memories of her when I see him on RUclips. What a great man he was, we miss him.
I used to watch Alex play snooker what a player. So sad he died alone in his flat r.i.p Alex
RIP Alex champ 🏆 thanks for your entertainment you give brilliant player sadly missed never forgotten 🎉❤and respect 🙏 👏 thanks poul top man 👨 👍
My all time favorite snooker player alex higgins rip
He was an absolute legend. Every sport has its super hero and he was totally watchable, an amazing talent. I don’t think he will ever be forgotten. Gone far too soon. He certainly livened up the game and the fans loved him.
Alex what can you say apart from one of sports greatest entertainers at his best he was simply magic to watch
Great video Paul, the great man is buried 100 yards from my father, I see his grave each time I visit the graveyard. 😢
Hi Paul I used to play snooker years ago loved watching snooker so relaxing but this man was a tornado on the table so exciting what a tragic end to hi life but a happy release I should think beautiful memorial Paul thankyou 😊❤️
Well done Paul for an amazing video how talented he was what he done and such a shame to see him so frail
RIP ALEX
The man who made Snooker what it is. It was an absolute joy watching him when he was in the zone. Thanks for this vid Paul.
I can remember the black he potted 😍. Another legend that won't be forgotten 👍🏻. Cheers Paul
I knew Paul would be visiting Alex grave after doing George best the Dunlop's ect. Looking forward to this one as with them all. Cheers Paul
Such a brilliant player so missed RIP
Never got to see him live but loved him on TV . Can't think of anyone I'd rather see you cover than this amazing character Paul. Tragic end to a well lived life . Rip Alex
As always, respectfully done. A fitting tribute. Thank you.
Alex was such an exciting player to watch. It was sad that his explosive temperament caused him so many problems. You were never quite sure how he would play - genius or not very good. We loved him for his weaknesses, and because of his amazing playing skills.
Hi Paul,
Alex Higgins was an amazing Snooker player during what I would call the Golden Age of televised Snooker. How he managed to pot balls from seemingly impossible positions and at such speed was just mesmerising to watch. R.I.P.
That cemetery looks a huge place and by the look of the speed that white car drove through it past you, it looks as though they are trying to drum up more business! 🙂 As always, keep ‘em coming!
Alex Higgins sadly missed he was a champ rest in peace 🌹🌹thankyou Paul for another great video
What a man, what a legend,... he made snooker popular to the masses.... & many thanks for putting in that clip at the start
Alex Higgins was a great snooker player it was sad how his health hit him for him to pass away at a young age R.I.P Alex xx
i met alex on numerous ocassions, when he was playing in sheffield at the crucible, he frequented the same betting shop and some of the watering holes ,a legend sadly missed.
❤wow ya so lucky
A great tribute Paul to an absolute legend of the game one who we will never see again as he never towed the corporate line. R I P Alex
Sad to hear such a great man, died alone and penny less 😕
Alex was a snooker legend, hurricane by name hurricane by nature, so sad to see how he detoriated in his final years. Thank you for the video Paul interesting as always
Hi Paul, I'm glad you're been able to make it to Dublin, I met Alex Higgins in 1979 he was on tour with Terry Griffiths after Terry Griffiths became World Champion, the two of them came to Yate Sport Centre just outside Bristol, I was well into Snooker at the time and it was Amazing to see both of them in the flesh when you only ever got to see them on the TV, it was Incredible to see him move around the table, he was one of a kind and it was so sad how his health declined, The People's Champion! R.I.P.
An amazing player that changed the face of snooker RIP Alex Higgins ( 1949-2010 )
Hi paul another great video he was the best 👌
Brilliant Paul. Another one of my all-time sporting heroes. What a player ....THANKYOU so much Paul 👍👍
From Australia he excited us hugely . I marked and dressed the tables for his relaxing games here . He had me fascinated . God bless him , a champion and a human in all its forms .
Another excellent tribute paul to a snooker legend...him and Jimmy white wow..brought a sort of rock n roll and edge..to snooker!...good one 👍 hammergazz...
Hey Paul brilliant as ever. My mother was a big Big fan. Every Saturday it was the only thing that was allowed on the TV at the weekends in the 70s. RIP ALEX thank you Paul for bringing back the memories 🌹🌹🌹
Very good, we have had a lot of big names come from NI but Higgins, Best and Dunlop are held in high esteem, Alex actually announced at a local exhibition in our town that he had Cancer but was very erratic that weekend so no one took him serious, but what a talent he was.
What a lovely resting place for him. I do remember him. I wasn’t a fan of snooker but my dad was so I saw him playing on the TV. What a player. He was in the news a lot due to his bouts of anger...I was shocked to see the photo of him when he was ill. So terribly emaciated, bless him. Very sad.
I met Alex in 1986 when he was practising for the World Championship, got his autogaph and had a chat, great bloke, God Bless x
Such an amazing but short lived life. RiP Hurricane Higgins. Beautifully done Paul.
Alex Higgins's was a real character, something that's lacking in today's sports.
Big cemetery Paul, rest your running limbs from yesterday
👻👻👻
I met him in 2002 in a snooker club in Hillsborough Sheffield, I stayed all night to watch him play, he was very frail but he was very nice an approachable we had a good chat I am from Manchester he lived there for a long time 70s 80s he drank in the same pubs nice bloke my hero growing up glad I met him.
What a difference how the graveyards are kept 100% better than in this country
Alex Higgins was a lovely guy loved watching him play snooker rip Alex never forgotten
I met Alex Higgins and got his autograph when I was 12. Went to school the next day it felt like a dream
😊Thank you Paul really enjoyed this video Very sad to see how sick he became at the end of his life. I was fortunate to meet him in 1979 whilst I was working at Preston Guild Hall where they held the Snooker Championships. He was very pleasant and respectful to all the bar staff. An absolute joy to watch him play. Thanks once again it brought back some really nice memories ....❤
My mum loved snooker and was a big fan of Alex Higgins. When I lived in Cheadle hulme Stockport Alex Higgins lived in heald Green Stockport and often went into Victoria wines where my mum worked in the evening he would often go in drunk he would drive the 3 miles from his home to the shop. There were many times police were called to his home for being drunk and loud . Such a shame he abused his body with alcohol and cigarettes but I suppose it was his way of relaxing as is for many especially the famous. He was a very talented man in his field. Thanks for sharing this story Paul love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire 💙 💚
He never learnt to drive . It was a fear of his driving
What a player Alex was . On his day he could beat any player at the time but the demons were ready to show themselves, I met him at a fundraiser do back 89. He played 10 frames with all big breaks, beating all our top club players. Shame he passed in the way he did , snooker misses his energy and charisma.
Great videoss always RIP to a true legend of the sport. The hurricane
He was a great man and player r.I.p thanks again Paul x
Paul thank you so much for visiting Alex and showing us he's grave
Can't wait to see it
He was talented Im from nz but I admired him and all those great players.they would have above eye sight to do those long shots.he and his fellow players had unbelievable skills. Rip
When The Hurricane blitzed all the colours, save for a delicate pink & then culminating in a wonderful black, Steve Davis had the complete look of a man who just knew it wasn't within his gift to play the game of snooker with such bravado, flair & sheer chutzpah.
Heroes live forever Alex Higgins, The People's Champion.
Schön, dass er so gut war in dem was er tat. Ich hätte keine Ahnung.
Schade, möge er in Frieden ruhen 🙏🏻.
Danke für dieses Video Paul
Another respectful video again, thanks Paul. I worked with him for one day at a BBC show in London. He never stopped clowning around for the entire time, it was impossible to get him to do anything and he did make us laugh but when you are trying to produce a show it becomes very annoying for everybody. Very few entertainers before or since can copy what he did, he was an all around entertainer.
Watching this now
What a fab video Paul
Hi Paul a grate tribute to a grate character and grate snooker player and laid to rest in a grate place 👍

Great video Paul.
Alex came to Bromley snooker club in about 1987/8. I used to play on Saturday evenings.
He did a book signing and I bought his book there ,Alex Through The Looking Glass. He signed it To Ben best wishes Alex Higgins. Very nicely written btw.. I've just dug it out to have a look at. Thanks for reminding me!
Those shots at the beginning were amazing. RIP Alex.
I once scared poor Alex at Manchester Airport. All I did was point out rather loudly to all in the concourse that it was him! Oops! 😂
I watched a lot of snooker back in Alex's day, he was always an exciting player. Gone much too soon and in the saddest of ways
Outstanding
Well done Paul ... Alex peoples champion, I actually met this guy and played one frame of snooker with him, .... Guess what? ..... I lost!! lol .... Great guy, great snooker player! Thanks for doing his grave. 😎😎😎

Great Video paul. He was an excellent snooker player, never a dull moment watching him play. Such a shame his life ended so tragically.😢

Hi Paul, Alex Higgins is "The Greatest" snooker player i have ever seen or will ever see.
Alex was the Michael Hutchence of snooker.
RIP LEGEND 🕊🙏 Stay well Paul mate from Liverpool 👌.

He was a genius on the table. Snooker definitely misses the hurricane. R.i.p. Alex.

My friend Gordon James (father of player Steve James) introduced me to the snooker circuit I met Alex we hit it off and became friends, I intended to go to his funeral but sadly I couldn’t make it RIP Alex and thank you Paul .
If you were friends why did you not feed him or help him ?
@@Nino-vt9bt many people tried to help him Nino , I will comment no more than that .
Thank you Paul for this video, so sad he passed alone 😢
Loving your work son. The hurricane the guy who dragged snooker kicking and screaming into the modern day. Yes he did inspire me to play snooker I was never very good but I loved the game and still do today although I don’t play anymore. His own worst enemy a lot of the time but he was treated very shabbily by the snooker authorities especially with what he had done for the game I’m sure they could have looked after him. Snooker is n massive again now after a bit of a dip some years ago and why is it so popular……….. because of
Alex Higgins !!
An absolutely legend in the sport RIP Higgins 🙏
Hey Paul, a lovely tribute to Alex. Growing up in the 80s he was a favourite. My family who are from Ireland loved him and Dennis Taylor. Thanks for Posting. RIP Alex ✝️
The peoples champion. I named my son after him. What a player.
