great video. the cut. the information. the scenes. the focus.
I was here spring 2016. Was very crowded with a long queue, but I would say, it is worth the wait. They made me into a matcha believer 😌
With a long queue, huh... I guess I picked a good day to go, then. ;)
The best. I have 2 cups of their Sayaka matcha every day.
What a treat to have a little tour in Kyoto! I got IPPODO as a gift and I loving this brand. So good to know what the store looks like - thanks for the video!

Thank you very much!
Beautiful video!
Could I ask you what’s the brand or kind of Matcha the woman offered you? Looks delicious.. is there’s a specific one?
Ippodo has their own brand, so that's what the lady was serving. They ship internationally, so you could order from their website if you wanted to try theirs (though with shipping etc, it might be a little expensive.) Still, their tea is top quality, so if you can afford it, it's worth it. Otherwise, you should be able to find matcha from a local tea supplier. If you have trouble finding it, let me know... I'd be happy help.
Letters from Japan Thank you so much
That was quite informative. You’re so kind
Ippodo is a famous brand and has reliable products, however if you are new to matcha research carefully which type is suitable for your cup expectation. On their site you will find numerous proposals, from the thin and bitter Hatsu, more suitable with milk, to the excellent Wakamatsu no mukashi or Ikuyo no mukashi.
