For anyone getting into the printing business this guy is the one to learn from, i didn't have any knowledge really about the vinyl side of it but after watching martins vids i'm now up and running and doing good! As long as you have a basic idea and time to study it's nowhere near as hard as it first seems. Thankyou Martin and keep up the good work mate, it's appreciated 👍🏻
Nice one, Thanks bud.
I bought a cutter 3 yrs ago for a totally different reason...now using it for my t shirt company...never even thought about stickers! I could have been in business 3 yrs ago! Thank you for sharing
Tip for sticker vinyl. With small text like the Peckham word. Pick the middle out before you pull the outside off. Letter doesn’t move then. Great video as normal. We are extremely happy from your DVD. Had a great first month. Sold about 70 t-shirts.
Nice tip, i'll give that a try. Well done too Andrew.
Yes!! Thank you..again.. Now im worried because my butt ordered a 8 in 1 heat press combo😭😭before i watched your videos..
Hoping it at leadt works for the vinyl part.. Ugh..
Thank you your the best!!!
I have The cricut maker cutter..
So happy to have seen this video. I've got so many ideas for clothing printing but I'm petrified about the whole thing. This has given me something to maybe start with to get used to the desig software and equipment. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Good Video Martin, as usual. One thing I found to help on the small letters on the sticker vinyl is to slow your cutting speed down. I found that makes a cleaner cut and usually keeps the letters attached to the backing sheet. I make stickers for R/C planes for club members and they are really easy to make and look great. Your heat press information is spot on. When I started, tried an all in one and quickly found it doesn't have the ability to get consistency. I ordered a stand alone professional model about a year ago and just pressed my 200th shirt. Keep them videos coming.
Nice one Jeff, Glad the stickers are working for you too bud.
Some decent proper advice off a decent bloke off RUclips 👌
Great job on the final cutter showing how to use it great stickers
Thanks bud. Cheers Martin
Martin, love you man. Always helpful.
Martin is a giver (which is savvy marketing btw), bought his course last night , excellent course. To me if someone is giving great free info then you know the course will be a winner and it is. It is also worth it to find out the paper he uses because you can see his results on here with it. Don't ask me what is is, get the course to find out, you will not gain a good rep producing poor goods and the course is very easy to follow with Martin's laid back style. I am looking to use the information to produce my own promotional goods for a couple of projects I am running so I will go with the flow, if the opportunity to make more money arises of course I will take it, thanks again for the time you take out making these videos
Thanks Mark and good luck with your venture bud.
Cheers
Martin
Thanks Martin, Likewise with your future ventures, cheers Mark
You are lovely. Thanks for the video
Martin, on behalf of Keith who ordered trotter decals from you last week, he well pleased with your speedy service and professional product and price.
Nice one Kev, thanks for the feedback bud.
Great content! I’ve learned a lot!!
The reason I bought me a vinyl cutter was to make shirts, few years later I've been able to do this full time and probably 80% of our sales come from big company stickers. If you are not sure if you should invest in a vinyl cutter, I would say go ahead and do it anyways, you will thank yourself later.
Excellent
Love these videos , learning a lot
Glad you like them!
Nice
Great video! One thing I’d mention is that even if a silhouette cameo is out of your budget they make a slightly smaller one called the silhouette portrait which is what I’ve got, works great! Just wondering what sort of vinyl you use for both window vinyl and heat transfers?
Thank you so much for your video, that was such a great description and I also learned some great tips! What about the tape for the decal vinyl, what kind do you use?
Hi, what shilloute machine is the best for cutting out stickers (designs) perfectly? I need to cut my designs (stickers) right around the line-hope this makes sense.
Is it compatible with a Mac? Thanks, I love your videos!
I believe so
What printer should I use and what vinyl would you recommend please. Keep up the good work. Cheers
I did a video on that ruclips.net/video/typpT2KC7pE/видео.html
Love it! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Martin I was just wondering if maybe you had any experience in pressing items with zips ?
And if so maybe you could share some tips in the form of a video ? just a thought all the best
I have a question about a few decals I recently purchased off Etsy. I want to know what kind of printer they used to make them. I’m going to ask them directly today, but idk if they’ll consider it like a trade secret that they’ll be unwilling to share. My husband and I have an idea for a business that will require a high quality printer to make the same quality of sticker that this shop sells. If I send you a link to the shop and the stickers they sell, could you tell what kind of printer they’re using? Is a printer and a cutter the same thing? Are a printer and a heat press both necessary to print sticker and t-shirts, or one of the other? I’ve just started learning about all this, but I’m wanting to learn fast! Does the printer you have print in multiple colors on a single sticker or only solid, one color at a time for the same sticker?
If you are wanting to do proper vinyl stickes as a business, you'll need a solvent ink printer and cutter combined. Something like the Roland VersaSTUDIO BN-20 but they are very dear but essential for decal reproduction.
@@reviewthat That’s one of 2 on my list. The Silhouette Cameo 4Pro 24” and the Roland BN20…. But yikes! The price on the Roland! 😳💸💸💸 We’ll see what happens. We have an idea for a small business, but would it justify spending 5 grand on the printer?! Idk yet. Thanks for the reply! 😊
Great video, what software do you use for your vinyl sticker designs ? Cheers
The silhouette studio software that comes with the cutter.
brilliant video
Where do you get your materials from I normally use grafityp but this is on 500mm rolls need a smaller cutter the cameo looks great but unsure on and how about materials..
Your great thanks
we get our vinyls from MDP Supplies here in the UK
Hi Martin, which would you say is better to start off with, a swing press or the one with sliding drawer, Oh yes forgot to say the DVD (T Shirt transfer printing) was brilliant.
it totally depends on your budget, they are both ok but you'll need more space for a swing away press
Hello Martin great videos I am looking to get a new printer do you think an epson workforce 7720 would be any good for this work? Many thanks
It should be fine bud.
Thank you
Hi Martin - great vids! just looking at your tshirt training link on udemy - how do I get email support? Is it covered in the download or on the video? Ta!
Hi Martin. I was watching a few comparison videos the other day - Cameo v Cricut. It looked like the Cricut cut finer stuff a little better plus it seems like it is aimed at the craft crowd. Have you heard any opinions from from your subscribers? I use one of the Chinese vinyl cutters but wouldn't mind something desktop size. 👍
I've never had any issues cutting vinyls out with the Silhouette Cameo. You don't really want to cut out very fine vinyls as the glue to keep it in place would be non existent anyway.
good info MARTIN.
thanks Dave
Just came across this video , amazing content I've learned a lot , I have a question though .. say someone has a business logo and they want you to print small sized stickers how would you do that. As it's a multicoloured design?
I have a video on printing on sticker vinyl with a laser printer, check the vid out.
Cheers
Great! Thanks for sharing Martin! Does the customer have to apply the sticker using a scraper? I saw that in another of your videos. What material is needed to create a sticker that you can simply pull off the backing sheet and apply directly on a window or a suitcase. Appreciate your teaching 👍🏾👍🏾
Yes you can buy those sheets but the more professional option is the type in this video.
Bought the Cameo and never got it to work ...too loud also...The Circut rocks !
I've never had a problem Darrell
hey martin love your videos and I have learnt quite a bit from you thanks , Just wondering what is a decent price to pay for a first heat press and do you have any recommendations thanks
There's a few good makes out there Stahls, Galaxy, Geo knight so it depends on your budget. Check out a few reviews on those I have mentioned and forget the unbranded ones less than £500. You can get a good second hand one of the names I mentioned for around £450 though.
@@reviewthat hi Martin, I saw a few galaxy and freesub heat presses on Ebay for £250 - 300. Would u recommend such ?
Hi Martin, handy little attachment for the vinyl. Can you tell me where you buy them please? Cheers Howard
I got this from Subliblanks Howard.
Martin Butler many thanks Martin. Just a quick question. I bought your DVD a while back and am going to view it again, but just wondering what transfer papers you use for light and dark garments?
Its in the dbd bud. I don't share that in the comments.
Martin Butler Totally understand Martin. I will check out the DVD again, cheers.
Hi Martin, are all vinyls the same, or is there a particular brand you use/recommend?
all vinyl is different. they have different life spans, different glues, different internal properties. The more you use vinyl the more you learn which vinyls are easier to work with :) hope this helps.
Hi Martin. I have a cameo 3 the same as you. I've had it just over a month and up until now everything has been working good. I went to cut last night and on the cut page it says it's connected but I get a message waiting for cameo to initialize . Have you ever had this problem or do you know what I can do to resolve this issue.
Thanks
David
I don't have the cameo 3, I have the Cameo 2 but I have had that issue. I deleted the software and reinstalled it. You could also try and update it first.
Whats a reasonable vinyl printer as i’m just starting out
I just use my Laser printer as shown in this video
Hi Martin, can you tell me the name of the adhesive spray you use on the carrier sheet please and what eBay stroke you buy it from as I need to get some, many thanks, Howard
EBay store that should be.

*Do you do bulk or big quantity cuttings of Heat Transfer Vinyls with your Cameo as well?*
How long does you Auto blade last on an average?
I cut to order as a rule. I've not changed this blade yet
Martin Butler Thanks for replying. my auto blade got wasted while I was trying to cut a little thicker vinyl. I don't know what happened.
Can you please make a video on how to adjust blade number and pressure manually on different kinds of HTVs on Autoblade of cameo 3?
There's plenty of cameo tutorials on that bud. Anyway, the version 3 has automatic blade adjustment.
Martin Butler I found none of them useful. Automatic blade settings doesn't work on every type on HTVs.
So I was just requesting for a manual kind of a video lesson maybe where you'd talk about how to judge which blade setting and pressure to use for what kind of material and how to to judge that...
I do mention in a few of my vids to do a test cut first using the test cut facility in the cameo. It works a treat but most people don't use it.
Hi Martin.
Do you think a Silhouette Portrait 2 is any good ?
Yes its fine but its only an A4 cutter where as the Cameo is A3
hey martin, where do you get the sheets of clothing vinyl?
MDP Supplies
Would you recommend the PixMax 28?
I have no info on that model, sorry. Look for reviews.
Hey my name is Joe from Tucson. Martin could I please have the info to order the CD and or course.....Thanks Martin....
Hey Joe, you can get the dvd at ukinternetmarketingschool.com/my-products/t-shirt-transfer-printing-training-dvd/
Cheers
Martin
Hi Martin, how much you charge for decals ??
It depends on what they are bud. I'm still in the middle of listing them on my retrorestore website.
Where can your Training product be obtained?
On my www.ukinternetmarketingschool.com website in the products menu.
Hey Martin Where do I find your Ebay Tea shirt business? would like a quote on a tea shirt. thanks :)
we don't share that info any more as people were copying our niches, sorry.
No problem Totally understand :)
I don't know if I want to really make money, I just want a vinyl cutter.
Levy Wilson
Real talk. I did this after Art School starting out for 2 years. It was awesome but to make decent money selling online is a lot of leg work. Cool Hobby but you have to sell a lot to make Money. Keep learning. I did wicked stuff with Vinyl. 3D Paint and Airbrush. Easy once you learn the software and have decent design skills and Ideas. Stay with it.
Hi Martin I purchased you video how do I ask questions
You can email me at tshirtcave@gmail.com
Cheers
Martin
DVD link not working
I no longer sell the dvd
Thank you@@reviewthat. I noticed you are doing Udemy training now, so I will look at that
