@@hunterandrus3320 It’s a Baker, can’t remember the first name. Martin Taylor says it’s his favourite guitar and he’d never part with it or even take it on tour, he has a video about it. Beautiful sound, indeed
Two highly gifted guitarists. Wonderful deep understanding of Djangos music. Nando Reinhardt is the uprising star in the gysyjazz family. A great musician with an elegant tone.
Absolutely first class genius playing. First time I’ve heard Nando. Got to say I’m impressed. Like the first time I saw Martin live with Stéphane Grappelli, really nice guy too, gave me a signed CD at musical exchanges in Birmingham. The most talented guitarist I’ve ever seen live. I’ve seen a few, Barney Kessel, George Benson, Robben Ford, Frank Gambale loads others but there’s something about Martin Taylor when he’s on form, you can hear it in this playing. The emotional content is enthralling.
Thanks for videoing this is something special. Gypsy jazz has become something that not only gypsies can enjoy now all music lovers can. Not only because Django Reinhardt but because bireli lagrene they have inspired so many so many terrific musicians throughout the years from hard rock to Brazilian music and these two gentlemen are some fine musicians boy they can play any type of music any kind of way
Goosebumps stuff. Virtuoso guitarists capturing the essence and spirit of Django. Love the tone of Martin's Taylor's guitar. Awesome intonation. Made my day
Every child should be sat down and made to listen to this. It is sublime music and musicianship which transports you to another era. Simply gorgeous and it makes me want to practice more! You are both incredible.
Good Luck lol I can't get them to listen to one minuet without boring them. And if they heard the whole beautiful melodic "message" from these talented men till the end? Who knows anymore lol
Wrong! That’s the best way to turn them off. Whenever you force someone, they will become negative towards it. Just play it without discussion, they’ll hear it. These days though. Kids are being pushed into anything stupid and purely garbage. Peer pressure and society tells them cRap and hip slop is so cool. Our arts are Doomed.
"Every child should be sat down and made to listen to this." What an incredibly stupid and callous statement. Is there anything else you believe children should be forced to do? "It is sublime music and musicianship which transports you to another era." It is what it is and nothing more. You might like it, you might not, and there's nothing wrong with either path. While I appreciate the technique and mastery of the language, the music is not quite my cup of tea. I'm neither better nor worse than someone who adores this sort of thing on account of taste. "Simply gorgeous and it makes me want to practice more!" Maybe you should spend some time doing some soul-searching. Maybe steer clear of the fascist tendencies...
I've been following Martin Taylor for the past 5 years. I've since stumbled upon gypsy jazz through Josco Stephan and Nando! Wow the merge of these two styles is just absolutely stunning. You've I soired my guitar playing on a whole different level! I'm very grateful for this video!
How wonderful to hear two such talents interpreting Django. I love hot licks as much as the next person, but far too many “Gypsy Jazz” jams seem to turn into mere speed contests. Bravo, gentlemen.
Simply gorgeous. Martin plays so soulfully it grabs at the heart. I love the tone of Nando’s Guitar with the F holes, a nice warmer version of the regular gypsy tone. Anyone know who made This wonderful instrument. On a side note, Martin’s playing always brings a lump to my throat As he was the last gig I got to take my lovely mum to before she past. Having met Martin with the late great Ike Issacs Many years ago it is a time I will NEVER forget.
I would like to thank this gentleman on my right again from the bottom of my heart. It was a great honor for me.
-Nando
Man your playing blew me away! So tasteful…in league with Bireli and that’s big time!
@@murrayreamspersonal505 Thank you 🙏
You both play so beautifully!
You are amazing
Loved both’s playing, hope I can listen more from you guys. Superb interpretation! Thanks so much and best wishes from Mexico City!
The truth is that you interpreted that piece of music with so much feeling that it is transmitted every time I hear it. Thank you.
i hope every jazz guitarist hears this - that is a jazz tone, sparkling like sunlight on water
Do you know the guitar models and make? the one on the right is oo so nice
Indeed! A lot of jazz guitarists close the tone of their guitar 😅

Two incredible guitarists! The best collaboration I've seen in a long time. Enjoyed every second of it!
