    Wow, I have been searching for any kind of reasonably priced internet. Desperately need it. Thanks to your videos, I found this. Visible didn't have the phone I wanted available in stock, but I scooped something up, and my phone was at my door by 1 PM the next day. Set up is a breeze, and the hotspot is great so far. I may just get four plans myself with that great deal and have hotspots for my car, a home phone, whatever else I might need them for. I am super psyched. Thank you for helping at least temporarily put my mind at ease with everything else going on in the world. This helps so much.

    I have the same experience with you. Fedex per did even go to my door to leave the notice. He just posted outside my front gate. I had to call his supervisor to let him know that it was a valentine's gift. The driver finally came back. VIsible is top notch in sending it out, next day delivery. Unlike you, I only get one sim card. I had the sim in in ZTE blade and usually the down load speed is 6mbs. I just took out the sim and put it in my xs max and it works perfectly fine. No need to make any changes or setting. Speed is lower than my verizon post paid old legacy unlimited plan. However, for $25 compare to $95 i will take Visible anytime. ALso, my old plan did not include hotspot, if I want hotspot, I have to pay $30 more. Like you mention, Visible will not work on edge, 1x, 2g or 3g. It only works on 4G LTE.

    pro tip from a phone farmer. DO NOT..... just plug this phone in and leave it on the charger forever like a router. this will cause the batttery to bloat. and risk exploding. the phone needs to cycle its charge. so plug it in and put the charger on a timer so it has a break from the charger. a few hours on and a few hours off. it will make the phone last alot longer. and it is much safer. great vid

    #1 100ms average ping speeds is not very impressive. For some games it would be considered very bad dependng on the user. #2 You will only be able to use streaming services at 480p per Visible's plan description. I had that with a previous carrier and it was almost unusable . #3 What we really need to know is can you take that SIM card out of the phone and pop it into a router modem so that you do not need the phone for home internet purposes. Thanks for trying out the service and keeping us up to date on ideas. After ATT shut down the best service out there its been a real challenge for us rural folks to get internet that really works.

      There is currently no router on the market that will work with Visible. With that said I am working with ALFA and they are making a 4G booster and wireless router that I am Beta testing for them and it is working great with Visible. They are currently fixing a couple of issues that I recommended to them and once finished I will be releasing a video of the product and they will making the product available to the public. Also I have had 720p video on the Visible R2 phone and 1080p on computer using there Hotspot without a VPN but a lot of people say the VPN works as a work around for that.

Im probably going to have to start trying a few new ideas myself. I've been doing this for a couple years now and ATT was the best, by far solution. Hopefully they decide to really help out rural customers like they promised the govt in the first place. Maybe the TMO and Sprint merger will get us something as well, I am crossing my fingers. They do NOT cap hotspot speeds to 5mbps, and they specifically state that on their website. I've also done speed tests in 2 videos to prove the cap doesn't exist.
      You can buy cheap travel routers. You can connect your hotspot to the router and then connect up to 5 devices at the same time, using your hotspot. You can also BYOD that doesn't allow hotspots to be capped.
      The $25 plan is permanently $25 if you join the party pay plan. I had a party filled up in 4 hours. We are all paying only $25 a month for as long as we want.

    Hey Mike I may have some insight on the variance of your gaming performance. The LTE hotspot connection does not give NAT access, thereby limiting your Xbox's connectivity during multiplayer due to how their network functions. The LTE hotspot is able to connect to XBox live as NAT Type 2, which is moderately better than NAT Type 3, which is just you sending packets to a burning dumpster and inhaling the smoke.
    Over the years I've noticed ISPs rolling all in one routers (modem & router) and I haven't seen a model yet that will let your NAT access by higher than Type 2 or in some cases, Type 1. If you one of these AIO combo routers (you can look up the model # online and find out) then you should ask your ISP if you can get a model that isn't a modem and router combo. You may have to buy a third party modem and set it up yourself, but you'd have to look into the compatibility for that yourself. Can't promise anything if it isn't officially supported by your ISP, but you should be able to find one for your ISP if your ISP doesn't officially offer it. Anyways, Once you got your modem setup, go to portforwarding.com and search your modem's routing #, add the ports for Xbox. Then connect your router to the modem and get all your stuff setup running through the model and in your router's settings this time, add the same portforwarding stuff for your router's model #. That should give you a NAT Type 1. There's no reason you should be having a better gaming experience on 81 ping vs 15-30ping except for the NAT restriction and I see there in your video your Xbox is on a NAT 2 connection. While slightly better than Type 1, still utter dogshit compared to what you could have.
    I hope this helps. I was in a similar situation myself. You're looking at a guy that pushed more LTE data through Sprint's network than Pablo Escabar pushed cocaine through Arkansas when Bill Clinton was governor. I only recently got cable internet in my area. I just went through 16 years of dealing with this. God bless.

    If you ever do get throttled on the hotspot usage, change your packet headers to TTL 65.
    Doing this is fairly easily with a rooted phone, but you can USB tether to a router like an Asus and with Merlin wrt installed you can enable jffs and telnet instructions to change the header

    • @davecarsley8773
      @davecarsley8773 4 года назад

      It doesn't matter what the packet headers on the phone are. It matters what they are on the device you're connecting to the hotspot. Why would you need a rooted phone to change your laptop's TTL to 65??

    • @joshuaprice1535
      @joshuaprice1535 4 года назад

      @@davecarsley8773 you're assuming everyone is trying to use a laptop. for devices like a PS4, non rooted tablets, iPads,etc you can't change their headers.. rooting the phone allows you to modify the headers of packets in the hotspot without the need to change each device or tethering with a router that does it.

    Suddenlink 400 plan has 50mb upload. If your only getting 5, theres either noise in your wiring or something wrong with the node. We have Suddenlink here and I have so many clients with issues that simply boil down to line noise. Granted not everyone can afford a Fluke CIQ-100, so your best bet is get a Suddenlink tech out there to test your lines, especially your drop.

    that connection speed is the worst I have ever seen from a carrier. I am on Metro PCS Unlimited plan. They use the T-Mobile network. I have 2 phones both with unlimited for $99 a month. my speed test just showed me 96.7 Download and 31.8 Upload. I have NEVER been throttled and have been using this setup for around 5 years. I donno why you keep pushing this Hotspot Mumbo Jumbo when you can buy Easy Tether Pro and setup a hotspot using your computer. You are pushing like 10 year old tech that seriously sucks. Not trying to be rude but this is WAY outdated information.

I have it tethered to my Surface Pro using Easy Tether Pro tether app. cheap 1 time fee for the pro version. I then in my computer settings under networking I share the easy tether pro connection with my Ethernet adapter. then plug in any type of router. wireless or just a hub and connect everything else to that. if sharing doesn't work with your devices then try the Bridge connection between the 2 adapters. it is pretty simple really. also depending on your computer windows 10 has a built in hotspot option. the network card in my Surface Pro does not support that. but some windows computers do support it.

    Hi. I use straight talk hitting off a Verizon tower because I live in a rural area and it's the only thing that works for me. They have capped my hotspot to 10 gigs a month. I use more than that for my smart tv so I've been casting to tv. But I'm wondering if this would work for me for just that reason. To connect to my smart tv exclusively. And How do you think my picture quality would be?

    • @tdemaree
      @tdemaree 4 года назад

      It would depend on how busy your tower is, because you are in the back of the line, when it comes to priority.. so everyone gets in front of you when it comes to data.

      download speed are slow... it took 5hours for a 500gb game to download off of googleplay, so i can only assume upload speeds are worse.
      and times usually double from download speeds so i would say a 500gb upload will take about 10hrs... so a small youtube upload of 100gb should take about 2hrs... about 1hr and 50min longer than it should.

I am also running my r2 phone through a Netgear almond range extender and getting by the 1 connection to the hotspot. The only issue I have had with mine is latency gets a little high sometimes but other than that I haven't had a problem while streaming from 2 devices also since I brought my own phone I do not have the limit of 1 device connected to my hotspot.
