They're less likely to throttle you in typically uncongested rural areas where a lot of the time this type of LTE internet service also happens to be literally the only option other than satellite internet, which is slower than unlimited LTE, has much more expensive plans to start with and then also either has a hard data cap or charges by the GB once your break their soft cap.

WARNING: I followed your credible advice, used your discount code and signed up for this service. Worked great for three months until waking up to “wireless broadband disconnected”. Their website had a scrolling banner indicating that “network modernization” was a problem in certain areas and to email support to rectify the issue. No emails were ever even acknowledged and the connection has remained disconnected. The tech support line just ignores the issue and reiterates to email and it will take up to a day to fix the issue. Upon further research it is apparent that Wireless Buy violated their TOS with TMobile and all the hotspots are being shut off. It is clear that the end user neither owns or controls the line or the device. It is unlikely the device can be activated ever again with any other service. It is almost comical as they continue to email that the autopay will be charged again. All they had to do is actually advise customers of the issues and we would have had an opportunity to establish an alternative service to avoid interruption. This service was sold as a “business” account and was being utilized in this manner, this is a huge, expensive and inconvenient matter. Interestingly their Facebook page has been deleted - go figure.
A bit annoying that you don’t mention where it will work. I travel the world for work and would be interested to know the global coverage (as a few other comments have asked). PokeFi seems like a better option for worldwide travel.
We are moving to an area that has terrible Wi-Fi providers and didn’t know what to do. It’s a rural area but does have fairly good T-Mobile signal. Would this be a good substitute for a regular Wi-Fi provider?
One more thing. I improved my Download and upload speed by selecting the bandwidth from 40 to 80, setting it to long and selecting only the 2.4ghz. Cutting off the 5g. Also turning WIFI off and tethering the M1 router just to my laptop. I get 150mbp plus download and 40-50mbp upload. You also become free of the frequency from the router, no more headaches, literally. I haven't tried the speed with tethering the 2 Ethernet ports yet from router to laptop which should create a hyper port. Maybe faster?
See this would be kind of awesome for your car. I already have unlimited no throttle in my home and I have a Nighthawk. My family runs on walmart staight talk unlimited no throttle for cell phones so we are set. But, this still is pretty cool too if someone's plan happened to lapse, because you could go from house to car seamlessly. Just not for 79 a month.
DISCLAIMER: Its not Unlimited Data they cap you at 50GB Once you hit that 50GB your limited to 3G LTE for the rest of your plan. Thats how it is for T-Mobile. Id assume every company like this one does the same thing.
Clear throttled the ever-loving CRAP out of people, even after claiming in their early adds that they would NEVER “slow down your internet if we think you’re using too much data like other providers”. I hated, hated, hated Clear. They can rot. They’d throttle me to 30k per second after watching a handful of RUclips videos! 🙄 I used to have a screenshot of their old website where they promised they’d never throttle. I wonder if I could still find it.
Mine is 80 now with home wifi and at best 3 Mbps this will be perfect for me thanks for the information will definitely be buying as long as it's not throttled

Great review of product but service and item don’t seem to be available with these guys anymore. Sad cause we really needed this for virtual learning out in rural Louisiana. Hopelessly running out of options here. Sad in America we don’t have more choices and at this point, these providers can basically charge whatever they want in 2020+ smh. Ty for the product review though.
I’m in Louisiana as well. The jurisdiction companies have in the regions make it impossible to have great service. Suddenlink is trash, AT&T is trash and Cox is trash. X finite is the only option but not available everywhere.
It is still a form of throttling, but much different then traditional throttling. Most unlimited plans slow down all your traffic after the cut off. This is supposed to just lower your priority during high network usage periods, so you get full speed most if the time but it may be slower during peak hours.
I actually purchased this rougher and it works amazing, but my siblings and I each own an xbox and we play a lot of Fortinte and the company is emailing me saying the wifi might slow down so I don't know why they would say unlimited data
Hi, your video is very informative. I'd like to know if I have to purchase my own T-MOBILE/AT&T sim cards that come with a data plan? For example, if I purchased an unlimited data plan (which will be throttled after exceeding a specific limit), will it still be really UNLIMITED if I inserting the sim card onto the NETGEAR router? Thank you and I really hope you can answer this question for me:)
All of this depends on where you live in a super rural area this wouldn't work too well unless you live right next to a tower, On top of that it would depend on the game and where the games servers are at. Such as CSGO i can play on this device with ease and almost no issues. But when it comes to COD or Escape from Tarkov, or Apex legends their are a slue of connection issues
The key words for me was unlimited, and mobility two big plus for me... I pay $70 /mo for 10gb now satellite and I hate it. I have an Rv so I love to travel!👍... putting this at the top of my list...
Thanks for the content. I might be in Punta Cana, DR July/August and will have to be online for work. Usual internet streaming etc. but with some Zoom or Google Meetings. Will this work abroad? Wondering how fast that might be? Thanks again -
When all I had was DSL available in my neighborhood, I ended up getting this. Ran about $120 a month and I averaged 16 mbps being approximately 2 miles from a cell tower. This was expensive but it was versatile and could be taken anywhere. After Spectrum installed cable, I stopped using this.
I’m a trucker too, I just bought solis WiFi for $179.00 they have a special for $49 a month for 18 months haven’t made it home to get the device yet though. Does this device and how does it work
I use hotspot on my s9 through sprint. $90 a month for 100g and unlimited everything. After 100g it can bog down but I rarely go over 30-40 a month unless I start downloading new games. Even then i can usually get the alotment reset for the hotspot surcharge but they've done it free a few times as well.
Nearly switched from Google Fi to Visible but visible is ONLY 4G LTE meaning, if you hit a low coverage area or go to an area that's more rural, camping, etc - You got no service! :)
Has anyone tried to play games with this device? I'm curious to see if there are latency issues or dips in connection depending on the console you're running
I use PDANet+ and a USB to my computer, then bridge the connection in Windows to a wired ethernet cable that routes IP addresses. I have a Unlimited Verizon phone plane and use this and pay $0 extra out of pocket to accomplish basically the exact same thing for no extra money.
Great to see this and thank you. I think all the providers will end up with a wireless Broadband service. AT&T have three bandwidth options for their wireless broadband offering. Their head of product informed me that they will not throttle. However, for customers that use hundreds of gigabytes, they will proactively follow up with those customers and attempt to get them off the platform. I don't believe it's a consumer offering at this time and only in the Enterprise space.
I just checked out the wireless Buy website... NOT A GOOD DEAL! They offer unlimited 128mb data, you have to pay for 4g, 2gb 4g is $25 and goes up based on the amount of 4g, they run on T-Mobile I use Metro by T-mobile and pay $37.00 each month for unlimited 4g and got a free phone too! I added a tablet with unlimited data for an extra $15.00 per month and it works great! I am planning on putting the sim from the tablet into a 4g router for my RV, The tablet will still work with the wifi in the RV router, so no loss there and I will be able to use my wifi cameras on the RV for security. I have heard tha the Mofi 4500 works best for this configuration, but thought I would check out cheaper routers before buying.
This is amazing. I have been waiting for something like this. I feel the price is worth it. This product lets you be free to be anywhere and get full speed internet connection.
Is your "hot spot" dirty & in need of a good cleaning? Oh, wait a sec maybe your "hot spot" is being obstructed & your signal is not "clear" any longer? Well, anyways good fuck finding a solution that works for you. I'd be happy to assist you in clearing your "hot spot", I'm usually free @ night.✌

I have the Nighthawk M2, and the range on it is awful. My house is relatively long so when i put the router in the middle of the house it doesnt connect to most devices. I'd say only get this if you live in a small house where range wont be an issue or need it for travel purposes only (where the router is close to you, like in your bag or something)
I have a M1 and purchased a Unlimited Plan through Impact Wireless - They just informed us that AT&T has dropped support for the M1 - Sucks - They say another Mofi4500 unlocked GSM modem will bypass the limitation.
Not quite ... I've got them currently and with my Military / Veteran discount , I'm at $69.00 a month ( 3 years now ) and Quite happy , with absolutely NO PROBLEMS what so ever ! These guys are AWSOME .
i knew this was too good to be true t mobile said "if you would want 22gb high speed the price would be $95 plan" and they said they dont have unlimited data for hotspots
First let me say that I don't understand why people have to be so hateful with leaving comments. You are trying to give useful information. Anyway, FYI, I called WirelessBuy and they are not offering the Nighthawk M1 or unlimited data any longer.
So how do you think my milage might vary if I mount this somewhere in a car. Either for personal use or for someone else who does rideshare gigs? My question is if its traveling alot like a cellphone would it be stable?
Hmm. Good question. I'll will say that the router has more antennas than a normal phone. I have not tried it in that capacity. Tomorrow I will be traveling between sfo and Santa Clara. I will test with 4 people in a car and see
That's what I'd want to know too. Just bought a Mighty Wifi device and only getting around 345kpbs no matter where I place it. Feel dumb for buying it now.
Depends on how good of an LTE signal you're already getting in your house. Download the SpeedTest app on your phone and run it at various times of the day at home while you are connected to LTE(not WiFi), ideally during the times you would normally be playing. The actual speed won't matter much but the ping(indicating latency) is mainly what you'll want to look at it. If it consistently stays under 100 ms, then you might have a decent enough connection for gaming. You could also enable tethering on your phone and connect your gaming device of choice for a little bit to see if you get a lot of network lag or not. Gaming from my experience doesn't use up data very quickly at all. Overall if the latency is good enough, then there's no reason this can't work for you but the latency is a very important factor as to whether or not it can work for you and odds are good that it won't be consistent enough over LTE. LTE, while very very fast at downloading with a good connection, is also still very prone to latency spikes which are terrible for gaming, but stabilizing and lowering latency is a key focus of 5G cellular technology, and something I very much look forward to seeing when they start coming out with 5G-capable hotspots. If you aren't getting a great LTE connection overall, you can also set up an external directional antenna array outside of your house, wire it into your house and then into the TS-9 connectors on the back of this device but it might not be worth the effort unless you have no other local options for internet.
What type of plan do you have through which carrier and how much is it. Because from the research that I've done no provider provides unlimited 4G LTE. The best that I came across was AT&t for 35 GB at $85 a month
None of that is true. No company give true unlimited, always throttled when reached just 15-25GB. And the device is only a highly inflated price of $219 + $150 or more a month for the service depending on if they have a low cap or a high one.
I think I'm going to get one just for the simple fact that with one of these things you can stop paying for a phone bill and use text now for unlimited calling and texting and you will have internet because of the WiFi so it would be your phone service and your data plus you can use your computer and or tablet and laptops all in one so that will save money and be way more useful
Same. Im playing 145 a month through a local company. Sometimes I get 45mbs. Lately ive been 1000kbs. The dish is pointed right at the tower less than 1000yards away
So your comment means I have to have cell service where I am. Not only do I NOT have cell service, I have to drive 6 miles to connect to an AT&T tower. T Mobile I have to drive 25 miles to get there service. I don't believe even two antennae will help. 😉
@@mekon1971 Well...I'm not that far in the sticks but just far enough to not get cable or food deliver of any kind , I have noticed about 4 or 5 miles from my house the have buried fiber optic cable along the side of the road. Shawn how?? We pay $50 for 120 up and down and are about to switch for a fast speed. Right now 300 mbps up and down is also $50 a month and gigabit Internet is $70. I don’t know why you’re paying that much for such low speeds.
@@jordanbanko5347 It depends on your location! In my area the highest we get is 50mbps download and we pay 65 a month and I have friends in other more rural areas and they get 100-300 mbps and they pay 60-70 a month. I think it depends on the population of the area.
There is a "throttle" regardless of the hotspot device capability. 50GB of high speed for the exact service you are using then you will be limited to about 600kbps until the cycle starts again. So, yes. It's "unlimited data" but only 50GB of high speed internet. They actually offer a 100GB power up for cell phone hotspots which works even better than spending it on another service/device. But yes, the device does not determine the whether or not you have access to unlimited data. The service provider and your pockets do.

That was some bs or was it??? You waited till the end to mention the $80 a month plan
It is $69/mo with no additional fees.
there are providers that don't offer unlimited data and charge 70 a month for 30 gigs
The Ultimate Purple One I think most people these days that are even considering this device would expect more than 30 gigs. Especially for $70
I have shitty att for $70 internet only. Definitely thinking about getting one of these babies.
@@sincerelyeugene6638 boost mobile has Xfinity prepaid wifi for 80 bucks a month
Is no one having unlimited anymore? I checked your website and I don’t see unlimited anywhere
You had me until you said T Mobile.
Never have had a problem with TMobile what so ever ! ( even when I travel overseas )

DISCLAIMER:
Its not Unlimited Data they cap you at 50GB
Once you hit that 50GB your limited to 3G LTE for the rest of your plan. Thats how it is for T-Mobile. Id assume every company like this one does the same thing.
Verizon doesn’t actually have a data cap that why it’s expensive 70 a month
Bring clear spot 50$ unlimited back !!!

I stayed with clear till the end... R.i.p clear wireless
I had one for my iPod. It was inexpensive and unlimited but WiMAX went the way of Betamax, HD-DVD, and so many other competing formats. E-waste.
For real !!!!
I used to have a screenshot of their old website where they promised they’d never throttle. I wonder if I could still find it.
Mine is 80 now with home wifi and at best 3 Mbps this will be perfect for me thanks for the information will definitely be buying as long as it's not throttled
I have this device and love it…and t mobile charges 50.00 a month unlimited data I’m in Encino California
Nice
$79 bucks a month kinda steep! But a nice option for those on the road or at home with no cable internet providers!
I think you cant get any signal unless you have internet.
Can it stream game system like ps4 etc??
Get a circular polarizer, removes glares in your case on boxes with shiny surfaces, look into it. Make sure you order the right size that fits your lens, says it on the rim of the glass.
Nah, says on website 4g lite will slow down after 50gb usage. So how is it unlimited?
DJ KaNeck cause it keeps going without charging u extra for the GB!!!! Lol!!
@@Tejano281HTX I think what he meant to say was, "how is it no throttling" where the speed stays consistent"
It is still a form of throttling, but much different then traditional throttling. Most unlimited plans slow down all your traffic after the cut off. This is supposed to just lower your priority during high network usage periods, so you get full speed most if the time but it may be slower during peak hours.
Unlimited lies
It is unlimited but you will not get the LTE speed after you passed the limit set by the network
I actually purchased this rougher and it works amazing, but my siblings and I each own an xbox and we play a lot of Fortinte and the company is emailing me saying the wifi might slow down so I don't know why they would say unlimited data
What company do you have wifi with?
Hi, your video is very informative. I'd like to know if I have to purchase my own T-MOBILE/AT&T sim cards that come with a data plan? For example, if I purchased an unlimited data plan (which will be throttled after exceeding a specific limit), will it still be really UNLIMITED if I inserting the sim card onto the NETGEAR router? Thank you and I really hope you can answer this question for me:)
Ever get an answer to this man?
So what about gaming in a rural area and streaming and how many devices can hook up to it without lots of lag
Did you end up getting this? I live in an Rv also, tryna find something good.

Dude, they have fast internet there.. Just stay in a freaking Nice hotel. **** up. !
I just saw this. I see that it's a year old. Is there anything similar currently available?
When all I had was DSL available in my neighborhood, I ended up getting this. Ran about $120 a month and I averaged 16 mbps being approximately 2 miles from a cell tower. This was expensive but it was versatile and could be taken anywhere. After Spectrum installed cable, I stopped using this.
I'm a trucker that plays a ps4 on the road, is this gonna work for me
They stopped this plan
AKalashnikovT dude I’m looking for same kinda set up
I’m a trucker too, I just bought solis WiFi for $179.00 they have a special for $49 a month for 18 months haven’t made it home to get the device yet though.
@@Jarhead-eu8py how does that work on ps4 cod? is it working good?
This all sounds nice, but then the $80 a month price killed it all. Next
It's only $69 with the coupon code
unlimited hotspot nice
Nearly switched from Google Fi to Visible but visible is ONLY 4G LTE meaning, if you hit a low coverage area or go to an area that's more rural, camping, etc - You got no service! :)
Does this work in dead zones? Such as in the middle of the forest where there is no phone signal?
I would also like to know.
not where the isnt tmobile signal
Hotspots use the data from the service provider so if you have no signal on your phone this won't work
No more unlimited wirless just spoke to them
So I doesn't work no more in 2020 bkz someone said that it still works it just detects when the sim is in a hotspot
Can't get on their website google blocks it as unsafe so do other web browsers
Nice but I got rid of T-mobile because of the signal issues I had
Has anyone tried to play games with this device? I'm curious to see if there are latency issues or dips in connection depending on the console you're running
Go with t-mobile they have the same for 50
I use PDANet+ and a USB to my computer, then bridge the connection in Windows to a wired ethernet cable that routes IP addresses.
This looks like alot of fun. My 1st hotspot was not a good experience. Way too much money back 10 years ago lol. I threw it away after the 1st month
Lol
I just checked out the wireless Buy website... NOT A GOOD DEAL! They offer unlimited 128mb data, you have to pay for 4g, 2gb 4g is $25 and goes up based on the amount of 4g, they run on T-Mobile
I use Metro by T-mobile and pay $37.00 each month for unlimited 4g and got a free phone too!
I don't care about the price-- Take my money!!!

How is it for a gaming console? Like PS4 or Xbox.
That's what I'd want to know too. Just bought a Mighty Wifi device and only getting around 345kpbs no matter where I place it. Feel dumb for buying it now.
Same. I don’t have internet and was curious about gaming.
79$ is not competition, it is status quo.
Danny He said it’s $219 for the device and $79 a month for up to twenty devices you can use on it at once.
Will this work with the Verizon Unlimited Plan?
Exactly, i dont have internet..i use just my data with Verizon paying more for it
100Mbs is nice but if it's advertised as a gigabit router, it should be able to provide up to 1000 Mbs
I live in a rural area so you just hook it up and have service
None of that is true. No company give true unlimited, always throttled when reached just 15-25GB. And the device is only a highly inflated price of $219 + $150 or more a month for the service depending on if they have a low cap or a high one.
COMMERCIAL FOR ??? WIRELESS BUY $80/month??
I think I'm going to get one just for the simple fact that with one of these things you can stop paying for a phone bill and use text now for unlimited calling and texting and you will have internet because of the WiFi so it would be your phone service and your data plus you can use your computer and or tablet and laptops all in one so that will save money and be way more useful
You must be close to the tower. I'm 1/2 mile from my tower and I can't even get 10 down.

@@jordanbanko5347 It depends on your location! In my area the highest we get is 50mbps download and we pay 65 a month and I have friends in other more rural areas and they get 100-300 mbps and they pay 60-70 a month. I think it depends on the population of the area.
Arnold ahh gotcha. Thanks for the explanation. Hope you can get fiber soon! Either AT&T or Google.
