I own a 94 Toyota 3.0 V6 4x4 A/T. I believed over the 20 yrs of owning this truck and doing 90 % of everything that has needed doing I have watched hundreds of DIY video's. Your head gasket repair video's covered so many repairs one needs to know when owing a 3.0 v6 . I just wanted to say thank you for posting them, YOU NAILED IT !!!!! for anyone needing to do these repairs.
Great Work! Such a difference. My sarcastic / practical joker side was like... "Hey Dad remember when when WE did the Civic?" "Yeah" " And Dad remember when WE did the 4Runner?" "Yes son." "Well I think WE just bent up the 4Runner playing in the snow." "YOU DID WHAT?"
Really enjoyed this series! I'm considering buying a '94 Pickup with a blown head gasket and these videos really gave me a good sense of what all is involved with the job. What camera did you use for the time lapses? They were my favorite part.
Thumbs up! How did it ride after the Add A - Leaf install? rough? Same, etc? Please let us know.Great camera work as usual. What camera do you use? Thanks again.
At one time during the head gasket repair video's I noticed you were compiling a list of parts needed to do & complete this repair. Is that list something you retained an someone could possibly get a copy of.
Your Videos rock!! Does your parts list included the helper springs as well? I'm going to get the same set up you have and knock it out all at one time.
@@PracticalEnthusiast Too cool. Plus your Dad sounds really stoked in the comments. Great to see that. Do you plan on doing any rust repair on this thing? Dare I say it looks more like “patina” than rust now? I actually bought my dad an FZJ80 to daily a few months back. I figure I owed it since he fueled my 3rd gen 4Runner madness all these years. Hopefully I can put together some videos as nice as yours!
Son, thank you for all your hard work repairing the old 4 Runner ( Mountain Goat) and giving it a new life. I’m very proud of you🏎

Thank you! It makes me happy to know the videos are helpful!
I am learning tons of new information about my 95 4runner, thank you.
Same here they aren’t that many out there online. I see many on the road though brings me joy!
Now your dad should have a reliable 4 runner. Great work!
Got the right stance now, this should be a solid car for many years to come. 👍🏻
Love this stuff! Keep ‘em coming! Undercoat that 4Runner beauty so it doesn’t rust out in that mid-western salt!
@Justin Chism fair point...well protect the rest lol
The frame is pretty decent! No holes or anything thankfully. Undercoating would be a good idea.
@Justin Chism I've tried the undercoating before and was impressed. I'll have to try out the rust converter.
DONE!! finally brother..kudos to ya!
Your dad should love it!
Stay warm!
I loved this series. Thanks. I still miss your turbo Toyota Pickup.
I have 250k on my v6 89’ pickup and no problems! Doing shocks and clutch cylinders next week!
Great job!
Someone get this man a beer. Great videos, I hope you get another older Toyota to show us further, the way. Maybe another 22R-TE?!
If only I could find another 22R-TE! Thanks for watching!

Lol. There certainly is a lot of "WE" in these videos isn't there. Just how family goes, you know. :)

Thanks Cody! Yep, the parts list includes the helper springs 👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What size tires????
How have the evergreen parts held up?
The 4runner has been sold, but I have no doubt they're holding up well.
What’s the story on the front plate? Really makes this 4Runner stand apart
It's from the home country (Iran). My dad picked it up last time he visited.

Brake shoes is my least favorite brake jobs to do. I can turn rotors and replace brake pads all day 💵
Even if the rear are disc, there are still parking brake shoes inside the rear rotors.
@@Offshore1977 those I usually just adjust them to specs
