I have the Prodigy 4.25” & the Staccato C2 DPO… both are a lot of fun. If I had to chose one obviously I’d go with the C2 but I don’t think you can go wrong with either. The point you made about shooters new to the platform getting their feet wet with this before committing more money to higher end 2011’s was excellent. I love my Prodigy. Great video also sir.

It's funny 99% guns have Mims parts somewhere and every gun smith I talk to say the same they don't break it's rare 😊

I don’t know about 99% but I do know a lot do. I’m not super mad at the mim parts. It’s paying $1500+ for a gun full of mim parts. That’s my problem.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I’ll do the CANIK TTI for sure next week. I’ve gotten a lot of requests for it

The Tisas B9R and the Live Free Armory Apollo 11 are both excellent guns that are cheaper than the Prodigy (sub $800 for the former and sub $1000 for the latter) that more importantly HAVE NO MIIM PARTS! And not to, in any way disparage your, frankly excellent Staccato, but it isn't the best / cheapest entry into the world of "good" 2011s, as the BUL Armory SS II Tac line of pistols is smoother, has a much better trigger, comes with all the optics plates and 4 magazines, and it's significantly less expensive (sub $2100). And It also has NO MIM PARTS! i know all of this because I own each of the guns, I've referenced...

How is 2100.00 “significantly” cheaper than a Staccato? Bul is great, but Staccato is made in Texas, has a track record for customer service, and is compatible with many other 1911DS/2011 magazines, which Bul isn’t. Also, Bul’s are harder to find, which makes resellers mark the price up. You can literally find Staccatos on many personal gun selling sites prices for great deals.
But I do agree that Bul makes a damn good pistol. It’s an opinion on which is better between it and a Staccato, and saying that tells you how good Bul is.

I have an Apollo 11 video coming up. Trust me. Don’t worry. But I’ll save time and just say that I’d definitely recommend people at least start with the prodigy. And the Tisas has so much rattle, it’s crazy. That video is coming too. Solid shooters, but I’d argue the prodigy is better quality than both of those options (Apollo 11 would be closer to it than the Tisas). Bul costs a few hundred tops less than a Staccato. I’ve heard they’re just as good if not better. But until I shoot one, I’d always recommend people save a few more hundred at that point and buy a Staccato
