Great collection of Springfield Prodigy videos. Very informative, honest and entertaining. In fact after I watched all the Prodigy videos, I put a 4.25" one on order. Your videos convinced me on the pros of this Pistol. Most of the reviews from others, were mostly negative and I was undecided on its reliability, and dependability, until I watched your videos.
Hopefully mine will be as reliable as yours demonstrates. Please make some more videos on the Prodigy.

The p model is a duty weapon. Heavier springs and a 4ish lb trigger meet the requirements of the 400 or so state, local, and federal, law enforcement agencies that have approved this weapon. The weaker springs and lighter triggers are available on staccatos competition models. I’m curious to see how the prodigy holds up over time but is seems to be a nice range alternative to a $2500+ pistol for sure. 👍

All firearm sales are final after purchase .

@@GSquaredTactical the mags are built by Duramag so idk. If you look on that Staccato case you’ll see 2011 with a trademark insignia. Also those 2 aren’t apples to apples by any stretch. Theirs a reason one is $1000 less. If you break both of them completely down the Prodigy is full of MIM parts and doesn’t have the hands on internally the Staccato has. Doesn’t mean the Prodigy won’t function well but it’ll be a coin flip and it won’t last near as long under heavy use. It would be like laying a Staccato next to an Atlas which is upwards of 6k, just 2 different leagues of guns. Staccato is the cheapest quality 2011 out considering how it’s made and the quality of parts.

Sure you can go out and do a ton of research and poll the audience of the world but we like to give our testimonials as well. And just because all the other reviewers had failures doesn’t mean we did, nor does it mean someone might get a good or bad one. To address the last part, you can do tons of research to find a lot of good about the prodigy. Exhibit A: G Squared Tactical. Now with that said, if a failure happens with a firearm and has to be sent back, that’s a problem. How Springfield addresses that problem is another story, but I am on the same boat as you in trying the Gen 2. All the same stuff was said about the Glock 44 ooh Glock messed up slides are cracking, poor craftsmanship blah blah blah. Even some rumors going around of the gun straight up exploding. Recalls coming everyone said. Yeah, no it never happened and Glock never changed or recalled anything and it’s consistently been in the top 5 of sales since then. My experience has been just like when I was younger and could only afford a Taurus. Douchbags who could afford a Glock trash me and the gun. When I could afford a Glock douchbags who could afford a H&K or Sig trashed me. You see where I’m going here. Thing is I have several 2k plus guns one 3k Dan Wesson so I didn’t buy it to save money I bought it because it’s new, I like Springfield 1911’s and because I thought it was genus on their part to make a cheaper gun for those who wanted a staccato but couldn’t afford it. You do realize that’s what they are trying to do right? So of course the build quality won’t match the staccato 😒. We also have a staccato and love it. The only difference is we aren’t douchbag gun snobs who scoff at people who can only afford a prodigy or the like. I think 90% of what we are hearing is just that and nothing more. It will be a consistent hot seller and 3 months from now you won’t hear crap just like with the G44
