Tempy is very special, she is an absolute darling and when she looks at Simon she just seems to look at the person and not the injury. Tempy is without a doubt beyond her years and this is the best thing I have witnessed in years. Simon is incredible and how he holds it together in front of Tempy is amazing. I am so happy I have seen this video.
They are both massively inspiring. The soldier,Simon, for his services to his country and for coming to terms with injuries and disfigurement that would have killed most. Sir, I thank you. The girl,Temperance, for her services to the heroes that many of us rarely think about. She has raised money, and conquered her fears, for people she didn't know. To be so grounded and grown up, at such a young age, blows my mind. The nation should be so proud of both of these, again thank you both.

I'm also ex army. I did over 18 years. This girl is amazing. We don't get much love from people at all and people like Tempy make it all worthwhile. She's an inspiration to us all. I don't mind admitting that she brought tears to my eyes. I'm also from County Durham, Ferryhill to be exact, and I'm immensely proud that a fellow northerner has served as such an inspiration. I don't go back up north very often but when I do go back one of these days I'd consider it an honour to meet this young lady. She's become one of my heroes. Thank you Tempy for all you've done and for being such an amazing human being. The rest of the world should take note. What an absolute star!!!!!
A light rain shower must have come through my house. It would explain the drops on my tablet screen while watching this. The composure that Simon has after what he's been through coupled with Temperance is an absolute treasure. There is no doubt that she is a little angel sent from heaven. To be so wise,aware, and motivated while so young is utterly amazing. Her smile alone in the opening picture is enough to motivate thousands of soldiers. Simon is a man of steel to go from administering his own first aid after such an injury and being such a true and humble gentleman. I see no resentment from him for his condition after going in to save his fellow soldiers and that speaks volumes about his character. Their interaction was genuine, respectful, heartfelt, and awe inspiring. They are both absolutely heroes and have my highest regards and respect. For such a young lady to make me evaluate the quality of person I am and a soldier to remind me that I really don't have anything to complain about I can't thank them enough for being the quality of people that they are.

The way I see it, I have two mothers, and would defend either with my life. I also feel that there is likely some sort of existence after our bodies die. Everything we have ever interacted with here on Earth, as well as everything we can observe with our most powerful instruments - all the planets, stars, nebulae, black holes, etc., only make up less than 5% of the universe. That fact is mind-blowing to me. Theoretical physicists predict that there are 11 dimensions - also mind-blowing. There is so much we still do not know about our universe. I believe that what we call God is within all of that unknown space. And what we call life, and consciousness, as well. This is why I believe in an existence after we "die." I actually consider myself a man of science. I always have, and always will. I have a great respect for the search for truth, which is why I will always respect science. It's just that I have become less short-sighted, and can better see the possibilities of our universe. Not to mention, how I have seen my own interaction with reality. It will seem cliche, and perhaps nonsensical, but pray, read the bible, and when you read, open your heart and mind to it. Pray in the silence and ask that "Something" to reveal itself. He will. Just be warned, One thing most people faulted at is the revelation of the God who Is, not the God they wish was. But this I can say, he loves you. And if you seek him, you will find him. And if you find him, you will not be the same. Do not read this as a lecture, this is spoken softly with compassion. For you to hear, and take, or leave.

When I was in uniform, a little girl picked a flower and handed it to me and said "thank you", There were no adults anywhere near so she did that all on her own.
First, thank you for your service. Second, that's why they're innocent lil children, then we as "adults" ruin them with all our "teachings." I.E. racism, hatred, temperament, spoiled, etc. Children are a gift from God 🙏🙏 sweet, innocent, loving, caring, giving, etc and then we as "adults" unfortunately fill them with our evil. I could imagine a million different thoughts and feelings that he was probably having in those moments after she gave him his present - none of them actually matter as much as the fact that was the moment she TRULY reached him beyond the walls he put up around himself. He seems a polite, gentle giant of a human being and deserves the respect of anyone civilian or service member, but she is a force to be reckoned with and, fate willing, she will become more and more of..... THIS.... as he grows into a fine adult. With any luck, she will help show many along the way how to be just as compassionate and driven as she is. Anyway, those were just some of my thoughts on this encounter. I am not looking for approval or anything - just felt compelled to share and to wish them BOTH everything good in the world. To Temperence, you continue being a wonderful young human being - reminding the rest of us how to do it. When fantastic people get together amazing things happen. This sensational young lady knows how to respond to the courage shown by Simon and his colleagues in the armed forces. Temperance has compassion and character in bucket loads.
I am US Marine who has seen a lot of combat, violence and evil in this world and as battle hardened that I am, I could not hold the tear run down my face, this little girl is so amazing and impressive, she is an inspiration. Anyway, those were just some of my thoughts on this encounter. I am not looking for approval or anything - just felt compelled to share and to wish them BOTH everything good in the world.

Tempy is such a charming and sincere little girl, with wisdom well beyond her years and had compassion for Simon and was able to see beyond his injuries and see him as a brave man who had his life changed in service of his country. They are both heroes and wish them both well

I really don't know what to say except that I never cry. Ever. I was taught and raised to never cry. Well, I cried. Very much. I luv this. What a beautiful and wonderful lil gal. I am US Marine who has seen a lot of combat, violence and evil in this world and as battle hardened that I am, I could not hold the tear run down my face, this little girl is so amazing and impressive, she is an inspiration. Thank you Tempy, for what you do, her parents also deserve credit for raising her the wat she is, and thank you brother for your sacrifice. I will never forget you Tempy, Sempre Fi.

Both heroes in different ways. I am completely overcome with how beautiful this little Tempy is. It is a gift to be this aware and empathetic, let alone possess these attributes at 5 years old. She already has passion and the will to follow through with her dreams. She is going to do (more) great things.
We need more people like Temperance. Such a beautiful soul that young child has. I hope it only grew kinder as she grew older. ❤
