- I was pleasantly surprised by the new Ioniq 6. I didn't expect it to be as dynamic and enjoyable as it is, especially compared to Ioniq 5

Went from a Prius to this and i've not looked back since. I use the ipetal as if a gift from the gods, I love it.
Thats sweet to hear!
Yeah, I love the ride in the Ionic 6, very comfortable
Yeah right!
Just leased one for a great deal last week. I love it. Black on black. ‘24 Ioniq 6 SEL AWD. It’s fun to drive. Beautiful on the inside
Very nice!
I saw one on the road & it looks amazing!
It DOES have I-padle. You just make a long pull I think.
I really enjoy your review. It's refreshingly personal.
We are wainting for our Ioniq 6 to arrive in Sweden :)
Interesting! I appreciate that! I hope you enjoy it!
It does have I pedal
We bought an Ioniq 6 about two months ago. Ours does have the one pedal driving. Not sure why yours didn’t. Having a Level 2 charger at home is key for us.
Nice, interesting! That’s so strange!
It’s just one of the many settings you can change. You can choose your level of regenerative braking. At least that is what I saw on my 2024 Ioniq 6 Limited AWD.
Great review! I just bought the 2024 Ioniq 6 Limited and absolutely love it! By the way, those steering wheel lights are an H in Morse Code, so technically, there is an emblem/logo. 😉😊 My Limited also has wireless charging and carplay.
Very nice!! Thank you for watching!
Enjoyed my short test drive in one of these. Amazed at how far this thing will roll with regen totally off. Definitely slippery and quiet on the highway but fairly fun on a twisty road. Great vid as always!
Thanks man! Yeah I was very impressed!
Nicely done. All the best of successes to you.
I appreciate that, thank you!
I use mine in Ipedal all of the time.
Interesting! Definitely my error then!
@@BernonCars
No worries.
We’re all here to learn from each other.
Liked your video.
Do your passengers complain about I-pedal? It tends to cause more jerking back and forth that passengers feel a lot more than the driver.
@@ky314
Not at all,
The Ioniq is a smooth and as quiet as a fairy’s fart.
@@bentaxelrod maybe it’s my lack of skill
You can brake with the left paddle so that you only use the regeneration (long pull). If this is not enough, you can also use the good old brakes.
Yeah I figured that out! I like using the normal brakes of course, but I was surprised I couldn’t find the iPedal!
You're a great presenter.
Thank you!
Don't the paddles go from 0-3 on the regenerative settings? My G80 electric does, and level 3 is i-pedal style. I personally leave it in 0, coasting is the most efficient and when ever you use your brakes you're using regenerative braking so you aren't missing out when you coast.
They do have several settings but I couldn’t find the i-pedal! I even looked online LOL. Interesting, I like using it out of lazyness 😂
@@BernonCarsit’s, 1,2,3 and then i-pedal. Just use the paddle shifters
@@BernonCarsIt definitely has I pedal on all models it's after level 3.
I have the limited AWD. I love how it looks, drives and how it quickly charges. Lots of power. Level 2 Charger at home in part thanks to Hyundai along with 2 years of free Electrify America Network charging.
It’s a great car, only down side is the cargo space. But it’s more of a ‘real’ car.
Exactly yeah
Brakes are blended anyway so even in coast mode it will regen when you touch the brakes only used the brakes when it can Regen anymore
Yeah it's a pretty seamless system!
I have an Ioniq 6 and it has one pedal driving. Just max out the regenerative (1 past level 3) and it says I-Pedal. You then have one pedal driving.
Interesting! Good to know
Lucid Air is the best EV out there to me. It even has a model that is faster than the Tesla. But congratulation on your new ownership
I love the Lucid. Ohh this isn’t mine, just a press car 😂
Yeah, it only costs 4 times more than this Hyundai and Lucid is nowhere near the size of Hyundai, so good luck with long term maintenance.
@@TheRealCatofexactly, there is a good chance that Lucid will not be around within the next 2 yrs.
that was also said of the tesla but......
I find the Tesla loud, harsh riding, VERY sterile inside, poor seat support, and questionable fit and finish. Also the location of the speedometer is infuriating. The charging network is amazing though.
Right! I agree. Not a fan. Yeah it’ll be nice when more brands move to their network!
Did you ever talk about why you sold your tacoma??
I did! In my car history video!
@@BernonCars I have to go back and watch that thanks!
What? It does have the I pedal feature. Just click up to it….
I did…!
they copy mercedes design
Ahh like the EQS I see that
This concept was out before the EQS
i meant the body design. looks like the CLS style
I dusted a Mercedes in mine today 😂
EV's are a $ grift!
Yea, terrible, not. I saved 2500 bucks the first 6 months of owning my I6 . . . gas is xpensive here in Canada and electricity is cheap.
@@michaelcollier8768 Time always reveals truth
how are they a grift?
@saltydog1196 Hardly, EVs are much better for the environment, and instant torque is extremely useful on real world roads.
Don't feed the trolls . . . but what the heck. When you are on a multi-lane freeway EV's are less of an asset but on our BC, Canada, roads with a lot of single lane twisties, uphills, and short passing sections, they are amazing. @@TheRealCatof
