So, popping back is a trait of the ms 660? I built a farmertec copy and it will yank the starter rope out of my hand in a heartbeat. I replaced the farmertec deco valve with a Husqvarna deco valve. That, helped a lot but it will still yank it out of my hand on occasion. It got me so hard one time that the handle cut my left knee and left a blood bruise for several days. I have been real cautious of it since. It is an excellent saw but a little tough to get going. I cannot pull it through without the deco valve. Age catches up with all of us and I never had your meat hooks, even when I was your age.
hey yes I built the same saw only I went with the hyway big bore kit and I took 10 off the deck you have to use the decomp but if you bring it up on stroke it pops right off with half a pull I run a 25" bar and a carbide full house chain love this saw power is awesome
older video of yours but when cutting looks like you hit a bunch of nails lol can you recall ? when the saw turns out the side of the cut makes me think you hit something, that and the dark ass stains
My dad owns one of these beasts. She fires up first pull when she's warmed up came with a 25" B & C. Manufacture date is 11/2001. Almost 20 years, she still runs strong. Edit: He (my dad) felled a 75ft pine tree with 'er, didn't complain one bit. However, the tip of the bar got caught and bent when the tree came down. Saw is fine, so is my dad. He just ordered a new bar and she's ready to cut again.

What you said in the beginning of the video that you actually loved your saw and that she was sexy, I've got this same feeling for my Stihl pro brushcutter FS 220 (and maybe a little bit my BR 600). I live in Brazil in a suburb house and I bought those 2 babies to take care of the lawn (I wish that I lived on a farm to be able to use them more) I also saw your video 20 depression video, I did not go through everything that you went through, but I also suffers from depression, and for me, when I'm with my babies, I forget about the world and I feel good / happy. At first, I thought that I was crazy, that I was the only person in the world that would rather be with a machine than with another person (I had some very bad experiences in my previous relationships, I've been hurt). I don't know if you feel the same? If yes, I finally found someone in this world that feels the same thing that I do! =D

bro is that thing blunt? i have one with half the bar size and it cuts twice as quick.. also nice work dropping the blade to the ground on the second cut, Stihl have a saw called the ms 260, you might wanna try that PRINCESS!
I don't even use ear muffs when I use my stihl ms 880 and 461 that have muffler mods on them. (removed the baffle from the 461) (heavy muffler and porting on the 880)
This saw is no good for Australian hardwood. Running a bar any bigger than 25 inches the saw cannot produce enough oil to lubricate the chain!! Even with the oil screw fully. Sorry by a Husqvarna

I went out and purchased an MS660 when Stihl replaced the model with the 661......and I am sooooo glad I did, because the MS660 rocks
The aluminum plate on the bottom of the gas tank protects the plastic tank from thrown chains.

good video. need a little less raker on the cutters so it cuts faster for that strong engine.
At least the back of your head won't experience any hearing loss. Sharpen the chain too.

A shorter bar I always going to cut quicker more rpms and less the engine has to work but yea his chain is a lil dull

There is no "upside down" on a chainsaw bar..... they are meant to be flipped periodically so you don't wear down one side more than another...

The MS stands for Motosägen, german for chainsaw. The 660 is a magnum, plate/sticker might have fallen off.
The magnum is the muffler face that one has the stock standard muffler face
