Jim and Pete are the only two who could elevate Raiders/Chargers to the level of historic hatred displayed in Raiders/Chiefs. I hope this division gets more competitive with Andy, Sean, Jim, and Pete all in it. It has the potential to be legendary.
Good point we gotta get a QB fa Raiders but AOC ain't dat bad I think he can at least keep up w Denver n Nix!! But we deserve better den dat we need a Gannon or a Jeff George but best ever a Plunkett ta come n rebirth dey career
Grew up a Hawks fan during this era, and man i wish i had known just how special this rivalry was, havent experienced anything like it since. Not just the iconic moments between the teams, but fanbases too. One time on a "Blue Friday" (everybody in the school dressing in seahawks gear the friday before a game), the bus driver wore a 49ers jerseys and pretty much the entire bus booed him the entire way to school 😂
A channel called Rain City Redemption actually made a few really nice, detailed, lengthy videos on the entire history leading up to our super bowl victory, and they're amazing to watch. Probably 4 hours total of video there, highly recommend. But yes, a full Seahawks history would be awesome too.
Im a bit of a homer being a Niner fan, but this was an all time underrated rivalry. Players on both teams were tough, gritty, and talented. I think the refs did the Niners dirty in the NFC championship but it was still an awesome game
As a Hawks fan since early 2000s, this is the video I need to explain to why I root for two teams every week: 1. Seahawks 2. Whoever is playing the 49ers
The way Harbaugh just goes "yeah I'm great. Whats YOUR deal" cracks me up lol he was *feeling* himself. Hope he and Caroll get back into it now they're both coaching in the AFC West
The 49ers have suffered heartbreak after heartbreak over the past 3 decades. But they will finally end the championship drought by winning Super Bowl 60 in Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara on February 8th, 2026. Remember I said this.
As a 49ers fan it was completely one sided with Seattle kicking our ass. Harbaugh definitely revamped us but Carroll made that Seahawks team terrifying.
In fairness they were 4-4 against each other during the Harbaugh years (Seahawks were 5-4 including the NFC Championship). It was really after that it became one sided until Russ was traded.
They didn't kick there as the Niner gave as much as they got and that era they finished with 4 wins each with carrol getting the win in the playoffs that game could have went either way!!! It was a great rivalry to watch!!!!
Not even a Niners fan, but I thought the Seahawks were cocky a$$hole$ at this time. That sunday night game in 2012 was brutal and the refs let them get away with severe hits. One where it looked like Kam Chancellor beheaded TE Vernon Davis. They were a legendary defense; I just hated them
*Pete Carroll enjoying his relative peace doing ??? in the Seahawks front office* “Jim Harbaugh is back in the NFL” Pete Carroll: “time to ruin this man yet again”
You missed some key details about that NFC championship game that this channel nailed the first time covering the topic here: ruclips.net/video/MffCiJrPjgQ/видео.htmlsi=c0YdpeyiHDcPUimy&t=331 or check out "How Jim Harbaugh's 49ers plummeted from the cusp of Super Bowl glory to rock bottom" at 5:31
And now the rivalry has been renewed thanks to Tom Brady of all people hiring Carroll to the Raiders. AFC West becoming the retirement coaching destination for all the top coaches of the 2000's-2010's. 🤣
The pat Sherman gave to Jim backside in that game with all the controversy really makes you think is that why Sherman tried to shake Crabtree's hand in the NFC Championship.
Richard Sherman has got to be my most disliked ex NFL player. Mainly due to his treatment of his ex. Turning up to her family's house hammered drunk, having already written off his SUV and looking to beat the door in before beating her, he even treatens to 'kill' if he gets through the door....that footage will never go away no matter how Richard tries to re-invent himself. If he had gained entry to that house I have no doubt he would've tried to kill his ex. This is what he was promising at the door. Some of my favourite NFL footage is the look on Shermans face as Russell Wilson is picked on the line of the endzone by Malcolm Butler. Perfection. Super Bowl over and good night legion of boom. Adiós muchachos. I'm glad he never saw success again due to his egotistical manner amd overall selfishmess.
@@AbaresqueLimited This could be. But as an Eagles fan in Europe, I don't get much coverage (specially at that time, now it's gone better), and I want to understand all those long runs for nothing... I know SB can do it justice, so that's why I always ask
@ With the exception of one, every "long run" that took place (and ultimately fizzled out) took place without a competent receiving corp. It'd be a pretty short Secret Base video, honestly. But... I'd watch it, anyway.
It's too bad that rivalry couldn't have remained hot. Seattle never seemed to have AFC West rivals because they were johnny-come-latelys to that division. SF only maybe had the Rams because their other divisionmates, NO and ATL were all the way across the country and sucked, and then the Rams moved halfway across the country and then sucked (Now the Rams are back in LA and playing good again, but their fanbase is comparatively weak.). Seattle-SF was perfect, at least for a while.
107 minutes on 2 teams that played in three Super Bowls and won one. You should devote at least 20 minutes on that one team that got blown out that Sunday… because they are real champions, unlike the Seahawks. THREE TIMES!
@@AbaresqueLimited no I just saw a RUclips video about using military aircraft to deport illegals, and at the end, MC Hammer had a private jet, though it was interesting. Jon Bois did a three part episode about Ross Perot, so yeah.
Pete came back just to make harbaughs life hell
And in the same division too 😂😂😂
Petty never dies 😂
As a Chargers fan, this ol grandpa Peter better not come in and fk up what’s been going right for us for the first time in 2 decades 🤬
We are here for it too boys. 🍿
8:30ish: "These two may never face off again, and that would be a shame..."
Pete went to the Raiders just to battle it out with Harbaugh again. Gotta respect these two always keeping it interesting.
Gotta love a real hater

until the raiders get a QB and some weapons I'm taking the chargers in both games

@@TheCh3ggfacts, atp in the league it is known you need a franchise QB to compete
as an oldschool seahawk fan from the afc west days -- a hater of all those teams -- i am looking forward to this.
Dropping this after Pete goes to the raiders … I love all yall thank you

Can you please do a complete history of the Seattle Seahawks? Like what you did with the Mariners? That would be epic!
Did you not watch the ones on tha Falcons and the Vikings!?!?
As a Seahawks fan I’m into it, but they actually won a Super Bowl in their history
A channel called Rain City Redemption actually made a few really nice, detailed, lengthy videos on the entire history leading up to our super bowl victory, and they're amazing to watch. Probably 4 hours total of video there, highly recommend. But yes, a full Seahawks history would be awesome too.
Very relevant given the beef that just came back in fashion.
Looks like beef is back on the menu boys
As someone who grew up an obsessed Niners fan in that early era, this was really well done and accurate

You guys are smart to do this since Jim is back in LA and Pete is back in LV...... Smart play SB
The division is now loaded with these 2 in it along with Sean and Andy it's going to be a fun ride!!!!!!!!!
Now that Pete Carroll is coaching the Raiders, a new chapter in the rivalry begins
The way Harbaugh just goes "yeah I'm great. Whats YOUR deal" cracks me up lol he was *feeling* himself. Hope he and Caroll get back into it now they're both coaching in the AFC West
Such a good rivalry. The Geno game winner hopefully brought some juice back into it. It’ll be fun to see this play out in the AFC West now.
My interest in the NFL peaked in this rivalry. Something about this combination of teams was so fun during this time.
Just like that they are back 🔥💯
So here for this.
Perfect timing! And they’re back together in the AFC west!
the greatest modern rivalry
Sure if Steelers Ravens don’t exist
Rivalries are what make sports interesting in the first place.
AFC West has entered the chat

LETS GO!!!!! 🔥🔥
Pete Carroll and Kendrick Lamar are carrying levels of hatred I hope to have someday.
Jim vs. Pete
Whats your deal 2.0
This is exactly what I needed to get through this week
00's Steelers vs ravens rivalry next
As a michigan and seattle fan, I feel really conflicted by these.
now that the raiders got pete...twice a year
Daddy Pete is back 💚
With the Raiders of all team…..while Jim is with the chargers….
“When you have someone as untalented as Crabtree challenge me, I am of the opinion I will emerge the victor”
“Pete and Harbaugh may never face off….” I have some news for you, buddy.
A lot of people miss that Doug Baldwin had major beef with Harbaugh as well. Sherm and Doug would always bring their A game against the Niners
This rivalry should've lasted so much longer than it did. My favorite football one aside from Ravens vs Steelers.
It is sort of the NFC Steelers Ravens
Nice timing, we bout to get some more west beef, just the other west.
NEW COLLAPSES CONFIRMED
This was in the first half of that decade really. It was great when it was active though!
Just when my lunch gets here 🙏🙏🙏
This was peak nfl for me.
That Vegas hire is going to make the afc west fun again
First highlight of 2025. Let’s do it
I only ask because of the very end. But will there be any video comparing the collapse of the 49ers, and the Jags. Trent Baalke was curious.
may never see them go against each other again... in same division again
Any more Collapse episodes
These two gonna have beef until they gone 😂
Beef is back with Carroll taking the Raiders job
kapernick owned the *****_ASTERISK_***** that night!

Going for 50 in the NFL is a LOT different than doing it in college.
