    I think this shifter in most of the Cadillacs is the BEST that was ever designed - I have a 2021 Envision Avenir and the "push - pull" type shifter it has is a REAL pain. After three years, I still have to look down to see what I want to select. Your shifter is the simplest one I've used - use the thumb button on the side, push it up for reverse, back out of the garage, slap the front of it to go back into drive ( button not needed ) and you're on your way. The "P" position is like it is so you don't accidentally engage it by mistake, like other shifter in years past.

    I hate the cup holders, I'm in America and they are still to big lol. I added some rubber cup holders inside, it helps a little.

    Have you noticed any jolts when you shift from Reverse to Drive? Mine kept doing it sporadically, took it in to two seperate dealers. One of them told me I had to get my entire tranny replaced for a new one. Had just bought the car 2 years ago and driven for 30,000kms. This was one of the many other issues I’ve had with this car. Had to replace the engine head gasket, O2 sensors, seat lumbar system, steering wheel boot, transmission transfer case unit, now the entire transmission. Only bought almost 2 years ago. Once they’re done replacing the entire tranny, I plan on getting rid of mine.

      Mine had issues with the shift from 2 to 3. Many electrical problems. I got rid of mine at 26 000km

    What trim do you have considering a ct5 premium luxury or sport in 2025 b4 they go all electric love the design of the ct4 and ct5

      Mine is a Premium Luxury- fully loaded 4 cylinder without Supercruise. You really can't go wrong with a CT5 Premium Luxury or the Sport trim. I'm certain you will love it!

      I don't see any point in buying this car unless you at least get the mid-range V-model with the V6. GM and 4-cylinder just don't go together.

    Do you find the 2.0L underpowered?? The one I drove seemed noisy, do you find that?

    • @OkanaganAdventuresDan
      @OkanaganAdventuresDan  5 месяцев назад

      Very underpowered for the size of car. The noise wasn't something I found to be annoying. All direct injection engines make too much noise anyways :)

      @@OkanaganAdventuresDan I don't understand why they don't use the 325HP 2.7L as the base engine or at least make it an option?? I guess they figure its too close to the V6 in power

      Engine was good, the electrical system on my CT5 was not very good. The transmission gave me issues early on as well. Overall they are good cars, too much money new

      Sorry, missed this reply.
      I worked at the dealer, never ended up fixed. Left me stranded twice in a 3 day span, so I traded it off on my Mercedes GLA35. I had a 2020, they updated the transmissions in 2023, still have issues, but they are much less catastrophic now. It wasn't the transmission that made me get rid of it though... Mine had significant electrical gremlins, nothing that ever set a code or blew a fuse, so they had nothing to go on. I've not heard of many others with electrical issues like mine had, but lots of complaints about transmissions and oil leaks. Still, it was a great car, when it worked right and it was the second nicest I've had for long drives(my new Merc has massage seats and is just that much more comfy... for a price) and it was smooth around town while being both decent on fuel and surprisingly good in parking lots. Hope you enjoy and love whatever you end up with!
