Looking forward to this project and what you do with it. I'm a long term Mopar fan, my first car being a 72 Challenger that I still have 26 years later, and now use for some videos on my channel. QA1 makes a lot of great parts for these cars. I installed a lot of their suspension components on mine recently.
Must say I normally don't comment but as a mopar guy I have to give you credit, half the so-called Mopar people on RUclips would have butchered this thing right from the get-go. Funniest part is ive always felt like im late to the trends. Just goes to show now is the perfect time to do anything. For example when i made the "what its like owing a 3 rotor" i thought car content was already played out and i was behind the times. Who would have known that started all of this.

In the shop you were working hard on the 4 rotor with Jared, and I said something like "he lookin rough, definitely looks like he got dumped". I always remembered that. By coincidence the next video had a clip of your partner Erika, and I felt like it was a direct reply to me, lol. Anyways years later, becoming so much more successful than most people could have thought, you still have your girl and your hair, and your cars. Im sorry if I hurt your feelings back then, if you ever saw it. You're a hell of a guy, and a positive influence.
This style of bearing should have slight play. Take them apart, if there's no discolouration or grooving you can feel with your fingernail, clean and repack them, and they'll be good to go! For reinstall, crank the nut tight with channelocks, spin the wheel a few times, then crack them loose and snug by hand to the closest cotter pin. Very rare that they actually require replacement.
The what you called bypass throttle boby, is actually a short runner valve, and it does exactly that. depending on rev range and throttle input. It either opens or closes to change runner length and optimize horsepower. And it’s a great thing too helps a lot with these engines
@@pcihector Changing the runner length helps optimize torque at low RPM. Similar to how changing the expansion chamber length on a two-stroke engine will help with acceleration. Examples can be seen in European boat racing. It has to do with natural fluid frequency resonance.
Completely wrong lol, These engines have two modes from factory depending on which key you use. The black key opens the bypass valve, therefore limiting boost created and only puts out around 500hp, the red key will close the valve maximizing the output of the supercharger therefore creating the most power.
Bypass valve opening allows more top end air into the engine. Longer intake runner length is good for lower rpm's, shorter runner length improves upper rpm air flow. The black key causes several changes to reduce horsepower. @@Bargermaintenance

She had to do mock and weld in her cage, she went with an after market crate motor a friend from last years hot rod power tour, 7.4L Hemi. Now shes building a '34 Ford, awd, donor is a jeep trackhawk. She should have a few vehicles ready in time for SEMA PAP gathering! Great project btw! Just got a 69 Cuda notch, and have a 5.2L from a GT350R that would be at home in there haha.

Hard to hear a numbers matching car was the best option to restomod. I am actually surprised she was so cool with the idea. She seems to really appreciate the classic muscle car. Rob seems a bit fish out of water here, which is cool to see him going outside of his comfort zone.
Hey rob! For future reference, when pushing in bushings for the control arms, if you put a piece of steel between the two ears it will stop them from bending and will allow you to press them both in.
