That’s what focusing on creating great projects and great content vs some goonsquad type lift kit and wheels calling it built with daily uploads. Go ROB!
If only some of yall could see the attention to detail and appreciate it, no matter how short the video. They pack alot of little details you seem to miss.
Rob to get that car to launch you'll want to get rid of the squat in the rear suspension, you want the suspension to push the tire up against the track. You'll notice the rear end of most successful drag cars will actually lift into the air. Fox body guys often change their rear control arm geometry to help that, but I think based on the wheel hop you're getting that it's a shock tuning issue. QA1 talks about how it's recommended for drag racing to increase the shock compression to keep the tire from coming back towards the car and to soften the rebound to let the tire go towards the ground. A better rear sway bar is probably also needed to fix the crooked launches.
Also absolutely need to stiffen up that roll bar, thing leans over like a yacht at full keel lol it's all a learning process, though, takes a long time to get a drag car dialled in - especially when it's not the kind of car you're so familiar with
Been watching for awhile. I love how dedicated your team is to keep manual tools around to make custom parts on the go too keep the original details of standards up to expectations. Those little details mean a lot overall. Edit... watching this shows how much more he puts into content than his personal gain. He does make it about him but only what what interests the viewer and not just him.
going to need many hours and test runs to tune that suspension. The rear had 0 squat and the front didn't do anything to help throw the weight on the rear tires but hey you made it.
New car. Rob seems like you have found your other half, hust saying. Congrats on the first piston build. Car looks awesome. Should have aired tge back tires down to like 12 psi for the races.
@@samuelpaquin7160 no dude. Ive been a mechanic for decades and worked on many a mopar, This is not signature or even common, its a bad noise from a janky interaction between the flywheel and the starter most likely. It could also possibly be an issue in the clutch, given the massive stack of clutchs they installed.
2:00 Definitely sounds like the starter isnt disengaging far enough before the flywheel gets spinning. Ill bet the teeth are getting mangled. PITA to have to pull the trans and engine apart again for something they overlooked in the rush.
Your boys get down like I do!! You guys finishing the car there at the track is the true spirit of racing!! At least it is to me. Either way, I love it!!
Awesome to hear you are coming to Bowling Green for the Moparty. I live in BG and it is awesome to see all the cars come into town from all the events we have. Love this car
I kinda feel like a proud papa watching rob graduate to a real piston engine, the Dorito engine is definitely a vibe but a V8 in a 71 challenger just screams good old muscle car and when Erica was driving down the street @ 12:02 and gassed it the front left of the vehicle lifted was awesome. Congratulations on an awesome build so far
Small tires out back & big power up front, needs more UP on front shocks, rotate the weight! Get it right: you gotta wheelie or a whiplash, when IT LAUNCHES.😊
Its incredible to see you guys power through this insanity of a month. From the shop to the lot those brains are working 100% to bring everything together at this pace. Take care of your boys!
Rob you have 1 more thing to add to your to-do list? And you must film it so we all see it; we want to see Erica's dad's response to the car seeming he was there on day 0
I have never been into muscle cars in my being from the U of the K. But I have a mahoosive hole in my life now that needs something like that to fill it. Bloody good work fellas and fine lady! Love that you have gone down the supercharger route. Turbos are cool but superchargers drive so much better!
Its not a Rob Dahm video if the boys arent using sawzalls and rattle-guns-come-drills at the track to make the car survive a few passes. That shot of the two cars outside the garage, beautiful.
Top class as usual Rob. And can I give a shout out to Camera Guy. Wow he's good. I mean wholevproduction/editing is top Notch. But Camera Guy, you rock dude.
I was talking with Kevin, trying to figure out a way to make it to Roadkill to see this in action, but I unfortunately just got back from the UP and couldn't make time to get up there. I don't know how long you guys are home, but if you are still around, I'd love to come check out that beast! (This is your old employee from EAC, Doug btw.)
I'm 4 days late in commenting. So maybe no one will read this. Amazing work guys. 👏 I'm sure Erica can't wait to drive it more. I can't wait till you change the color. On a side note: If someone told me Erica was the younger sister of actress Alison Brie I'd believe it.
Rob -I have a 12 rotor built...
also Rob- hold up, gotta build my girl her dream car this week
also Rob- Here's 8 minutes of me trying to sell a house and low-key trashing my own brother and mom on RUclips
It’s the randomness for me with uploads lmao
Rob- goes dark for 3 weeks, drops a movie, then a couple days later a 16 minute minisode
Sometimes it be like that.
@treewisemenllc7281 we don't come here for robs consistency
That’s what focusing on creating great projects and great content vs some goonsquad type lift kit and wheels calling it built with daily uploads. Go ROB!
Consistent.. not exactly. However, the content and endeavors he shared with us is what we're here for!
If only some of yall could see the attention to detail and appreciate it, no matter how short the video. They pack alot of little details you seem to miss.
Everyone was cleaning their car and Rob was there building a car. 😂 what a legend
Lol exactly what I was thinking! Epic...
Isaiah deburring the intercooler pipes on the pavement is genius 😆
That might be the closest thing to an outro I've ever seen Rob do in a video, it didn't just randomly end
Haha I love the random endings 😅
I'm not used to not being blue balled, it feels wrong
First ever pass as a shake down and full sending it is crazy 😂 reminding me of 4 rotor 4 wheel burnout on hoonigan, good times.
In this episode of Rob Dham, Rob throws his brother under the bus. 😂

@@EricFixalot oh yeah I wasn't trying to sound sarcastic, I totally agree with you. Gonna be cool to watch them figure it out for sure
By the looks of it they could have dropped quite a bit of pressure out of those rear tyres too.
lol i bet rob thought he could just send it and that drag cars are easy to setup
Did a rotary guy just say someone’s vehicle sounds obnoxiously loud ?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂hilarious
Yeah but it's acceptable and proper when it s rotary....everything is is just wrong...
You can't possibly dislike the metallic sound of a rotary.
And don't you dare compare it to the trashy sound of a cut v8 exhaust.
@@emenesu ever seen blower pro modified cars live?
The turbo muffler
Don't forget that Rob always puts muffled exhausts on his cars, the 3rotor has 3 or 4 mufflers I think

Absolutely full credit to the team that made this all come together.
That's one mean machine.
Thanks for showing it off all through the steps.
Been here since the 4 rotor was a dream! Love the progress! Only greatness from Daddy Dahm!
You missed the 3 rotor build up.
I been asking for Lincoln content since before this was a Rotary channel.
I joined just before all of you guys. I am better.
@@eriklarson9137is your boyfriend impressed? Nobody else cares
@@eriklarson9137 oh yeah my RUclips account has started puberty. Yours is still in elementary school!

Love the bush mechanics in the car park, amazing what can be done when it needs to be done
That 71 Challenger next to the 3 rotor FD is amazing.
12:12 'His & Hers' goals
Yeah, that’s such a sweet combo of cars
Space that starter man. That flywheel ping is awful. Other that that it's amazing!
Is that the ka-ching sound when he starts it up? I kinda love it lmao
This is the most inconsistent channel on RUclips lol. I love it.

Last minute repairs, Gosh, I love Rob and the team.
Very well done. Love the way you keep it humble and real.
The way the starter sounds like a sword scraping across rocks has been getting me ugh 😅😂
Every chrysler i saw had a horrible starter sound lol like a signature
It’s the flywheel

5.45 is why i love Rob Dahm
That challenger and 3 rotor are such a sick pair. Modernized classic and a JDM legend of a race car
Parking lot car works! I haven't done that since the 70s. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!! Erica Schrull - we need WAY more of you.
Isaiah cheesing at the camera at 12:11 makes me smile lol
just finished watching the 90 minute video, what perfect timing for this one

I KNEW I used to see (well, HEAR) your FC RX7 back in the day in Michigan! Big ups from someone who remembers those days like 15 years ago lol.
I just got done with the last video, this is a treat
This is exactly what I need to wind down.
Bro, 100% support all the way!
Dodge is really smart for doing this- it gets so many of us, who would never watch dodge content, involved and rooting for it!
Great video that shows the real side of all that craziness.

Seeing you guys transfer from building the car in a garage to building it in the parking lot was hilarious, you nailed the build
The car sounds good.Erica good job.
Lovely build and a great team effort
Awesome, we need more Erica, definately makes Rob a better person!
Awesome guys. Lots of fun on those slicks. Your new wrench looks like Kenny Powers
Thank you❤

Not fair. Throttle used the same car as last year. It's been tested over and over. Good job guys !!
I cant wait to see more work on this beast !
Sweet! Great team, nice work. Lots to be thankful for.
Rob, you and your team built an awesome car! Doing a hellcat swap to an old school challenger has always been an idea of mine. Way to go.
You and every Mopar fan since the hellcat was leaked.
Kentucky!!! Let’s go!! See you there!
2:24 her face when he says they other sound like shit is classic. She like babe don’t be mean
Love to see that blue walled garage again. Makes me feel like we should be listening about a messed up Rx7 body pane fued.

Good shit guys ❤
I apologize for the noob question, but what's with the "ringing" sound every time they start it? It sounds like a bell when it starts 😅
You sir are a legend for this. I was gonna do the same thing or go with the viper v10 for someone and the hilarity of it.
Definitely going to need some serious suspension tuning to get that thing to hook
