  • This is part two of a two part DIY series on how to install a 25 foot one piece flagpole. I bought this from Admiral Flag Poles, Inc. out of Columbus, Ohio and had a great buying experience. You should call them if you are considering buying a flag pole. Their contact info is below.

I followed everything you did in these two videos, including the Loctite, silicone, and nursery bucket trick. I took your advice and purchased an Admiral flagpole (though only 18', because of municipal codes). You're right! It looks absolutely amazing---and just in time for Flag Day (today)! Thank you for making this short series. It was incredibly helpful. God bless you!

Thank You so much for your step by step video. It is so much appreciated. I, too, purchased my flagpole from a company that just produces flags and flagpoles in order to get the correct one. I am having my 25' flagpole delivered tomorrow and my son is going to install it this coming week in time for Canada's July 1st celebrations. Because of COVID, city celebrations are cancelled Canada wide but PM Trudeau said to "Canada-up our residence"............soooooooooooo that is exactly what I am going to do! :)) I am going to play Reveille at 7:00 am every day..........just to get the neighbours "up and at 'em!" :)))

Well done! I've watched these videos several times now while doing my research on flag poles. Like you I have contemplated and searched for almost a year. Today I called Admiral Flagpoles and placed my order for a 25 footer. There are a couple of things I would like to ask you though, now that you have had your pole up for a couple of years. The standard method of setting a pole is in a sleeve packed with dry sand. How has yours held up in a small sleeve with set screws? And, would you go with a revolving truck if you did this again? Thanks for your input and thanks for the videos.

Thank you for making these videos. They are going to help me big time when I order a flagpole from Admiral. I’m also thinking a 25’er will be best. My concern is that we’re now living in South Carolina and hurricanes will hit. The ground is pretty sandy. Any thoughts about that are appreciated.
When I’m closer to getting started I’ll visit the local town engineer’s office and see what they think. Thanks again.

***** We are going with 25 because our house is maximum 24 feet at the highest peak. We are getting a commercial flagpole with internal halyard and rotating truck ball so the flag can change direction with the wind. Up here in Canada it is expensive but will be cool! We will use a 3'x6' flag.

Faddie. You need to check out the LED lights you can put at the top of your flag pole! Solar charger for the AA batteries, and really light up your flag all night. They're awesome! One would look great on your flag pole. It fits on the shaft for the gold ball at the top. They have others that mount on a bracket, and then shine a LED spot light UP, to the flag. Check them out. I think you would like one! Great job on the flag pole!

Tom just a heads up, those solar lights for flagpoles do not work. They are no where near bright enough and assuming you have sunny days all the time the charge will not last through one night. I had one for my flagpole which is finally up, but i hard wired a 30 watt LED spotlight which does a great job. I also installed a night and day sensor. Let me know if you are interrested in one of these lights.

Great information and thanks for taking the time to provide this video. You may have already mentioned it but what made you decide on a solid metal flag pole versus some other options? I would assume, beside simply looking better, it would be very strong and last much much longer, as a retractable, sectioned model would wear faster. Again, thanks and btw, you had me cracking up with the "best investment" comment during part 1!
