yup -- what everybody else said months ago. watched a lot of reviews of this pedal before i finally found the one who got all the sounds i was looking for. props. and thanks.
I already wanted the Soft Focus and Space Echo and now I NEED them. Ordered a B stock Soft Focus today. Space Echo will be soon. A great alternative to both for those on a tighter budget is the Mooer Devin Townsend Ocean Machine. I have it and it has a lot of the same qualities and sounds of both run together.
I read this comment just at 11:55 when the artsy slomo images were blend in over the pedal camera 🤩💜 Great demo indeed. Finally ordered the pedal and until it arrives I'm still gonna watch those lovely demos all day 🔥
My amp is a fender deluxe reverb custom and into the universal audio ox for ease of use while demo’ing. I used the humbuckers full on. Thanks for commenting!
Great demo. I'm glad u played it before and after The Soft Focus as I use the Eqd Hizumitas and a Green Russian. I'm trying to decide on that "weird reverb pedal" between this, OBNE dark star and Walrus Slö(tva). Detroit
Thanks! Those are some tough choices. I have the dark star and it’s really good- possibly more versatile than the the soft focus. I haven’t tried the walrus slo but walrus audio makes some good stuff. I really like OBNE sunlight with fuzz. Imo OBNE is definitely killing it in the weirder territory.
I have the slo and just picked up this one. They very different. Haven't had a chance to play with both of them together much yet but they sound amazing.
Thanks again for the demo & song building. I got the Soft Focus. Came down to space on board & finances as usual. I was looking for the "pretty broken" creative sounds too. I agree with your assessment of how it "hugs" the sound...where many others are a distraction or just outright annoying. So end of board is prolly... C.Soft focus> C.Echo Rec>C.Stereo Semiphore Trem> TC Transitions Stereo (Reverse or Ping Pong)-> Roland JC120 & JC77.
@@lzryd Hi Brian. Congrats on getting the soft focus! When I bought it I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with it because of its limitations compared to modern offerings (midi, expression etc). But, the sound is really appealing. I’m a big fan of lexicon reverbs from the 80s because of the hugging nature of those sounds. At the end of the day it’s always about the sound and how it interacts with my playing. I really like how the octave up doesn’t sound like typical shimmer reverb. It’s subtle and not bright which really makes it blend in. Hope you get the sounds your after!
I think your girlfriend can stop Jenny Craig now. rofl. But hey, that song at the end gave me flashbacks to Berlin and new wave kind of stuff. Nobody walks in LA! Maybe throw in some squeaky falsettos? So this pedal is useful. I feel that the Synph and Mod knobs should have a higher max level. They made it so the highest setting is barely noticeable. I'd like it if the max would actually make you a little seasick. The thing I really liked about using all that verb on everything is it made the bass really come through in the mix. Skip the cowbell. MORE BASS!!!
BEST demo I’ve seen in a loooong time. Realistic review showing realistic uses of a product.
Thanks!!!

Glad this video was useful!
Literally one of the best demos I’ve ever seen on RUclips. Great work!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, some amazing sounds. Loved how it integrated with the Muff and Space Echo.
That was a sweet demo. The vocal was so cool too. Very Ride sounding I thought. Which is great.
Thanks! I love Ride! Saw them in Philly 8 years ago I think. They were great live!
@@RPMusicStudios Andy Bell of Ride is into gated reverb, so that was pretty cool to hear !!
Great demo! Just ordered this for my bass board 🔥
@@JulesNoir820 nice!!!
That was fun, and relaxing.
That pedal is fire. Great video production quality. That channel is going to get big sooner that later.
Thanks!! This pedal is definitely a keeper!
very good demo kind of glitchy but really good detail on the product and all the knobs.

They make a great team. I’ll have to check out the mooer pedal. They make some quality stuff especially for the price.
Great demo and artistry, sir. Truly.
Thanks!

They oughtta link this on the website for the pedal its the best demo. Fully confident the pedal i just bought is what i want now.
Wow! Thanks!
Soft focus before the Big Muff? Alright, I'm trying this in my setup tomorrow lol.
It’s definitely worth a try. I use my line6 dl4 before my overdrive all the time. It can be more aggressive. Let me know how it goes!
Just the MBV way .. works though
5:50 My Bloody Valentine used the SPX-90 reverse reverb a lot for this, you probably have that program in your 990
Really sick demo, I just sub’d!
Thank you and Thank you again!!!!
Best review ever end of
Thanks!!
Liked how you used Big Muff in conjunction with the Soft Focus. Was that recorded through a clean channel in an amp? Full on humbuckers too?

Awesome demo. What amp are you playing through for this demo?
Thanks! Fender 68 custom deluxe reverb(reissue) into a universal audio ox.

I use the Slotva before a Caroline Shigeharu (muff). It is superb.

PLEASE WHAT AMP AND MIC ARE YOU USING?
I’m using a fender deluxe reverb reissue with a UA OXbox. No mic on guitar.
@@RPMusicStudios lmao ouch im poor
@@cameronhodum4930 when I mic the cab I use a Shure 57 and get a great sound. That’s a lot cheaper then the UA OX
Let’s build the best off the cuff song you will ever hear in a gear demo video and see how slay happens, is what you should have said.
@@n.s.raleigh4162 thank you!!!!!
