    Fun fact in the comics he's not really fat. He just looks fat but it's actually almost all muscle Sumo Style. They even commented on it in one of the animated shows how approximately 2% of his body mass is fat and the rest is nothing but pure muscle

    • @dominiqueodom3099
      @dominiqueodom3099 3 года назад +423

      Michael Clarke Duncan is my favorite interpretation of Kingpin because he matches that Body type exactly as described in the comics.
      With the Suit on Duncan already looks big,but once he takes the jacket off you can tell he is a Tank of Muscle.

    • @davidsirmons
      @davidsirmons 3 года назад +227

      I was going to mention that, yeah. Comics explained that his bulk is muscle developed to an incredible degree genetically. In similar fashion, people tend to think Hippos are kind of "funny looking" and fat. No. That's solid-ass muscle underneath that tough-as-nylon hide, typically weighing about as much as a small SUV. And I don't know any SUVs that have a mouth big as an open grand piano with razor sharp teeth as long as your forearm. Yeah. Fisk is a beast.

    Normally, you make a villain intimidating by showing him kill someone. In season 3, they make Kingpin intimidating by showing him sparing someone's life, showing he now can control his emotions and has lost his main weak point.

    • @theinsurance2450
      @theinsurance2450 Год назад +3

      Actually this whole thing was stage by Fisk to fool the FBI that he wasn't safe in prison and that he was a "change man". So they will move him to the Hotel.
      He still has that emotional weakness. It shown when Karen was going to make Fisk attack her in front of the FBI agents by admitting she was the one who k*lled his best friend Wesley. It only didn't happen because Foggy came in just time to give the FBI an excuse to carry Fisk away. Good thing too because at the time Karen didn't know the FBI were on Fisk's payroll at the time. Meaning if Foggy didn't show up the FBI would have let Fisk k*ll her brutally.
      Foggy was a high profile person running for DA, who made it pubic knowledge he was visiting the Hotel to see Fisk. If he and Karen (high known newspaper journalist) both "dispear" at the same time at the same location under FBI watch. That would 100% bring in more Feds to look into. Which would ruin if not expose Fisk operation.

      No, this is what the John Walker scene should have been.
      Military expert explained that in 90% of cases John Walker would get of without a punishment. Furthermore what the terrorist was doing would not be considered surrender so executing him would be valid, especially since it was impossible to detain him safely since it is established you need special restrains for Super Soldiers.
      The 10% where Walker would have to go on trial would be politically motivated and even their the made a mistake since the punishments he gets would not be given without a prison sentence.
      I was unsure on this for the longest time, until I heard that, now I am completely on Walker’s side.
