I'm so happy to see this video, Peachy! It's fantastic to see someone cover the smaller companies in this hobby. I was one of the design team that created 7TV: Pulp, actually, and helped with the development of 7TV: Fantasy. I really enjoyed the base 7TV sandbox, and getting the chance to tweak and add to it was proper fun. Plus, Karl is a top bloke and the work he does with Edge Hill University is incredibly helpful for getting student's feet in the door of the industry. Smashing work on Mr Bond! I've always loved that mini. You did that awesome sculpt justice!
Aww thanks Callum, i super appreciate the kind words on bond….especially from such a skilled painter like yourself 🫶 And that’s really cool you worked on those games too, been a fan of 7TV for a long while, and wanted to do a video for a good while too, so I’m pleased it’s getting a lot of love 😍
Thank you for your work on the Pulp rules! It is my favourite minis game. We've had some endings where I couldn't never expect to see in a minis game. 7TV is the only game that could pull me away from RPGs. Take care, T.

The Cast Dice podcast got me hooked on this game, Bolt Action and others too, looks incredibly fun especially with all the independent 3d minis out there.
Thank you, I think I have too much fun doing this lol. Also I probably should do more Warhammer based stuff, but my mojo for that is a bit low at the mo 😍🙏😍
Hadn't thought of the bad vs good dynamic - supervillain, co star and extras vs hero, many co stars and few extras. Looking at my games of Blakes Seven using Beast in the Broch miniatures, they absolutely fall into they categorisation. Servalan/ Travis and a heap of troopers vs Blake, Avon, Vila, Jenna, Cally et al for the "good guys". Also love recreating the supermarionation programmes of my childhood using Crooked Dice and Mr Tong minis. Love it that you've given Karl and Anna a shout out.
As a big RPG and Mini-head finding 'modern' minis that aren't WW2 based or super sci-fi is difficult but some of these would be amazing for that purpose!
Fun video as always, and the “Dr.P” bit was especially well done. Your editing is getting better and better. But I had more questions than answers about “7TV”. How does it play? Is it a one player game? If two players play, are there two “directors”? In the future, a better format may be to split the content across two videos. For example, 1) Introduce a game, then give a playthrough in the first one, then 2) Paint a hero (like 007) then paint some baddies in the second. Or paint the models for two different factions, or paint some scenery or a vehicle etc. Anyhow, thanks for the video and for introducing “7TV”.
It’s not aimed at solo play, so 2+ players and you take it informs to activate characters etc. I do have plans for doing a how to play sometime in the new year…..exactly when I’m not yet sure
That’s such a fun idea, I think I either Copplestone castings or artisan designs do a tin tin….if memory serves. There’s links in the description if you want to check
Well, you got me. You got me good. That jump cut to 'Dr. P' wearing a patch over both eyes just as I was taking a sip of tea... Proper comic strip 'fluid through nostrils' moment, bahahaha 😂 And I love Crooked Dice! Their range is literally perfect and I have a tab permanently opened to their site on my phone. Never really looked into 7TV though - but I will be now! Thanks, Mr. Peach!
I’m the same a tab dedicated to keeping ‘tabs’ on what’s coming out is a must for me, so much good stuff. No word of a lie as I was editing the video, I discovered they have Xena….XENA!!!! When did that happen 😂🤷♂️
Cheers Adam, I’m really glad you like them! Tbf it’s a lot of fun making these vids, and talking about cool Companies or miniature ranges. Best job I ever had!!!
That ad man 😂 fantastic The crooked dice minis do look like they'd be fantastic pallette cleanser types even without getting them for a specific game.. a quick Bond here, a terrifying traffic warden there...
"Threads" was a film. The 1A model you show when you mention that film (the cop with the mask and the rifle) is cool. Perfect dystopia-verse cop opposing force model.
Thanks Peachy for always introducing new miniatures games! Also, the best part of any Peachy Tips video is the skits! A few more of these and there will be deep-lore in the internet circulating for Rifle Man Peach, Dr P and future character skits Peach etc... LOL!
At first, when I backed their 2nd Edition, I didn't plan on buying their minis. But they really grew on me and have a really nice balance of detail and simplicity. They are a joy to clean up and paint. I love them now. Also totally missed that Hasslefree re-opened their shop. Thanks for letting me know.
Been playing through the Dark Fortress pack with my daughter for 7tv and it is one of the best miniature skirmish games I have played, and I have played a lot over the years. Just keeps getting better and better.
I've been painted a Crooked Dice mini I bought a couple of weeks ago nd I have to say the casting is really high quality. Almost no flash lines, great detail and smooth surfaces. Most of all the models just ooze character in the same way the 80s GW minis did. HIghly reccomended. I also have some of the rules, but haven't played yet so I can't comment of the game beyond the huge potential it has. Nice video.
Good shout Peachy. Great game system, top notch company plus Karl is an amazing fella. We always use a bunch of Crooked Dice minis for our BunnyBadger Salute games. The Nostalgia is strong! Another angle for the "TV/Movie" setting for me is that basically anything goes and suspension of disbelief is easy. Nice PJ too 🙂
It would be awesome to see crooked dice make some sculpts for Dune 1984. I've still got some blisters in my 'pile of potential' that I picked up from Salute 😆. Great video as always boss. 👍
I am digging in, pondering the terrain question I have ideas. Got the Thundercats as a start point. Please do a showcase of your GI Joe stuff, looks amazing
Can't believe how many awesome minis are on the Crooked Dice site. The original Planet of the Apes (simian minions) and A-Team (soldiers of fortune) are immediate favourites.
I adapted 7TV: Pulp to run a Doctor Who scenario featuring Cybermen. The cliffhanger cards help to sell the TV show simulation as well like 'wobbly set' which allows the player to move a terrain piece. Such a great game.
7tv evolved from a non-profit Doctor Who game developed by one of the original co-creators for game shows. I think the resources disappeared from online though when warlord had the Doctor I.P.
Have you looked into Battletech? Big stompy robots are always fun, and I love painting the miniatures. The "classic" game can be complex, and time consuming, but the Alpha Strike rules are much more approachable. I can attest from personal experience that even younger children can grasp the basics and have stompy robots fun. The Alpha Strike box set is a great starting point.
Well it’s been suggested plenty of times, so I’ll add it to my ever increasing list of games to look into, especially if there’s an entry level version, big fan of those, really helps as a gateway to these games.
I loved Action Force when I was a kid, especially when it was incorporated into Battle. Speaking of Battle, I'd love to kitbash some Charlie's War minis from WWI bits.
Great video Peachy, nice of Dr P Evil to let you have so much airtime! I really enjoy seeing you talk about the games you love. I also suspect you’ve given me my new recipe for black.
We're really pleased you enjoyed it James! Peach is loving sharing his passion for these games and helping others who might not be aware of them find them too! Ever since Dr P Evil paid us a visit though, we have to be super careful which buttons to press on the TV remote...🤔😆 Luv Mrs Peach 🍑
@ haha yes I can imagine there are a lot of extra big red buttons dotted around your home! The double eyepatch moment in that video really made me laugh! 😂
Peachy, Just Peachy. I have to get a few minis from Crooked Dice, I didn't know until now they had a K-9 mini I cannot live without. And those V figures really hit that nostalgia spot for me. Great video!
Brill video. I was just on the Crooked Dice site looking for stuff for a diorama. Brilliant range, especially if you grew up in the 80s. But, I'm just putting this out there... Sharpies Mrs has looked better😂
Thanks 😍🙏😍 tbh I was worried it looked a bit bland, but I was happier enough with it in the end …..just the face liked a bit mashed up after I’d finished it. But we always see our faults more than others And yeah white and black can be a bit tricky to do .
My favorite miniature agnostics games come from Snarling Badger studios. I am now painting a group of Goblins for their newest game, the Great Goblin Argle-Bargle!
Another great video! I'm loving all the different games you've been showcasing. It's so fun to see what's out there and have a bit of an informative dive. I was very into the Redwall series around the same time I discovered the miniatures hobby. 🤞Some day you might be able to do a video like this on a game a recently came across called Burrows and Badgers. Gorgeous minis. Keep up the great work, cheers!
Burrows and badgers is certainly on my list, I was chatting to some folks about it the other day, so never say never…..’again’ ???….bondesque pun intended 😂
What in the holy timezone of I dont sleep peachy is this im waking up to? Insomnia at it again? Still its nice to hear the kids whinge as i turn off their superwings marathon. Finally something else on the TV at 6am for once... This reminds me of the GURPS concept from Steve Jackson games. Great find as I didnt know there was a tabletop equivalent(ish).
Midgard was just released this week, and my local group is buzzing with ideas for quasi-historical fiction settings to build armies out of. Howard's Hyboria is an early favorite, but I might want to take a page from Leiber and make a grand army of Lankhmar!
Can't believe I only just got the pun in the channel name. Crooked Dice make some weird and wonderful stuff even from my youth - Banana Splits in their buggies (need to get a second set for the Horror Version and of course Tron.
every time I plan to make a Crooked Dice order...it gets outta hand. I need Ming the Merciless..oh Road Warrior...The Prisoner, Battlestar, Thundar, KRULL!?! oh, £320---yah, no can do. Not interested in 7TV, but the minis are my jam
Dude! It was an absolute pleasure, love the game, love the minis, and your all lovely folks…..and it’s a topic I’ve wanted to cover since starting my channel. And I get to find an excuse to paint up Bond 😂🤣
This concept, along with gadgets, directing new episode etc. is super similar to polish steampunk tabletop RPG system Wolsung. I played it for a couple of years and possibilities that this specific approach gave were amazing. Very nice to see this ideas finding way to tabletop, being even more universal!
COWABUNGA DUDE!!! Yeah metal minis do give off cold sweat vibes, but these are so nice and mostly one piece minis, unless you mad like me and go full head swap and weapon swap crazy lol
Is it weird the sponsorship segment was my favourite part of this video?! I really hope they wrote you a very large cheque, Peachy - you deserve it for that!
Well I got a nice shiny chair, which is actually really comfy, talked about and painted James Bond, so big win! Also really enjoyed making the ad, was surprised they gave it a greenlight 😂🤣
You are making me miss the Doctor Who Miniatures Game. Thank goodness I got a pdf and some miniatures from Crooked Dice version before they disappeared!
I *desperately* want CD to do minis for the Mighty Max cartoon, which infamously ended with a time loop/reset back to episode one, with all the characters aware of everything to come and how to solve every problem. If that's not an opportunity for someone to build off of that and go to some wild places, I dunno what is. Also the mini range would be WILD.
Ha! I’m not familiar with that cartoon, or at least my mind has pushed it dm deep into my brain. I’ll be looking into that after I finish typing this lol
@@PeachyTips It had no right to be as good as it was for a cartoon designed to sell toys, and yet it was! There's a channel that does compilations of Saturday Morning Cartoons as big long videos, they've got most (if not all) of it in a few long vids! EDIT: The channel is called 'Orbital Bacon'
@@PeachyTips I'm so glad! There's so much to say about it -- The deep shadows and dark mood, the incredible voice cast, the music, as well as, of course, the design and settings!
I've played so many different settings with 7TV. You just find the best fit profiles and go. The game defies being taken too seriously. I've played games featuring Ghostbusters, TMNT, He-Man, Superheroes (70s TV versions), Dr Who, Dad's Army, V, D&D (the cartoon), Flash Gordon, Lego Star Wars, LotR, Top Gear, the Joker, Hydra, Juliet Bravo, and of course, loads and loads of cultists. Weirdest game? Disney Princesses delivering a beatdown to the Magic Roundabout in the Temple of the Serpent God.
@PeachyTips I think I might have mentioned this before, but I had a 'Sean in the Fourth of July' cast planned for an event that got cancelled by COVID. Sean's from across the Beaniverse uniting to save the universe, and almost certainly dying heroically in the process. Apart from Sharpe, obvs.
I've been very tempted by this when I've seen it at the shows. The ones I really like are the priests and housekeeper who are basically Ted, Dougal, Jack and Mrs Doyle from Father Ted. 😂😂
I love the Crooked Dice minis since I saw you talking about them a few months ago. I have the 7TV basic rules book, but it looks like I ought to get one or more of the genre boxes to get the cards and things. Got some Dr Who characters, they're beautiful, and I totally want the Threads ones, and the Prisoner, and Space 1999, and UFO, and, and, ... (Del boy and Rodney! The Young Ones!! the Highlander!!! Snake Plisken!!!! - thought he'd died...) Going to have to paint my eeeviiill minion squads in Peach uniforms now. I'd love it if you'd talk about Moonstone, I know since they're all characters the army painting techniques aren't so useful but it would be good to get some tips about working with resin minis. I'm having to wash these ones several times to get the primer to lay evenly and not crack. And the game is great and the minis are lovely, and some general village / trees / stone circle scenery tips would be good.
I’ll be covering moonstone in an end of year video where I chat about all the cool games I’ve not yet had chance to look at, try out etc. so it’ll be a bit of a montage of look at Al these cool things I wanna try, if that makes sense
Great video! You've definitely got me really interested in 7TV, I would love to play Dick Tracy episodes, could you imagine how those miniatures would look?!
Those would look mega! I mean you never know with crooked dice what will be next. Never thought I’d see Gi Joe, let alone the aliens and resistance from V, and yet here we are 😂👍
Who would actually think to do minis for Threads, the most-depressing TV drama of the 1980s? Crooked Dice are effin' brilliant. So glad they do this weird stuff. Brilliant minis. I do wonder how a version of Rainbow might fit into this world. Perhaps a battle royale against the cast of Fraggle Rock?
I haven’t, I have a whole list still to work through, but bazooka, shipwreck, and Barbeque we’re also favouritesI did have a lowlight in the Gi Joe pick but in the end I couldn’t fit him in the shot 😭
Damn, think when I can afford it next year I'll have to sign up to be part of the Peachy's Peachs with those uniforms and help get make that volcano base a reality
Just checked out some of the miniatures and this is such a tempting game. Loving some of the sculpts like Snake Bliskan and Ash. Not checked them all, but would good to do a Sean Con timeline, young Sean from 007, First Knight Sean/The Rock Sean & League of Extraordinary Gents Sean. Good vid Dr. Peachvil
Speaking of evil genius, there's a fairly new company called Evil Genius Games which has developed a game called Everyday Heroes which those models could go well with. The owner might even do an interview style video with you.

Peachy, Just Peachy. I have to get a few minis from Crooked Dice, I didn't know until now they had a K-9 mini I cannot live without. And those V figures really hit that nostalgia spot for me. Great video!
Everytime I look at the page, there’s always something new to see
Brill video. I was just on the Crooked Dice site looking for stuff for a diorama.
Brilliant range, especially if you grew up in the 80s.
But, I'm just putting this out there... Sharpies Mrs has looked better😂
Hahaha! HOW DARE YOU SIR!!! I demand satisfaction sir! Pistols at dawn Wellingtons rules be damned
😂😂😂
This is cool. Love the James Bond miniatures.
This has reminded me that I need to buy the Time Lift Security miniatures so I can deal with some Mysterons
Way impressed with your Bond paint job. Black and white is tough to make look realistic and still look interesting. Inspiring!
Thanks 😍🙏😍 tbh I was worried it looked a bit bland, but I was happier enough with it in the end …..just the face liked a bit mashed up after I’d finished it. But we always see our faults more than others
And yeah white and black can be a bit tricky to do .
Okay I feel Walmington-on-Sea platoon liberating Nouvion coming on😊
You might like our Vlad's Army feature pack...
My favorite miniature agnostics games come from Snarling Badger studios. I am now painting a group of Goblins for their newest game, the Great Goblin Argle-Bargle!
Secret Agent Johnny English!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
@PeachyTips lol on brand, Mr. Bond. Glad to hear it's on your radar!
The silver p99 in the case just perfectly in frame during a Bond themed segment.
Yaaaay! Thank you for looking at the not masterfully crafters but fun backdrop lol 😍🙏😍
Great video, That game sounds really fun but the highlight for me was you getting uncomfortable saying "thrush" 🤣
Hahaha! It was a bit awkward lol
Midgard was just released this week, and my local group is buzzing with ideas for quasi-historical fiction settings to build armies out of. Howard's Hyboria is an early favorite, but I might want to take a page from Leiber and make a grand army of Lankhmar!
Love the Hawk the Slayer minis :D
That advert! 😂 That was great. I hope we see more of you doing that character!
Maybe 🤔…….tbh I had a lot of fun making that 😆👍
very interested in the spectrum set... Gerry Anderson is so very underappreciated these days...
Can't believe I only just got the pun in the channel name. Crooked Dice make some weird and wonderful stuff even from my youth - Banana Splits in their buggies (need to get a second set for the Horror Version and of course Tron.
7TV and Pulp Alley. Super adaptable. Pulp Alley takes itself a bit more seriously. Cheers. I need to finish my Captain Scarlet.
Stroking the globe 🤣🤣👌❤️
It’s because I’m so EVIL! 😂😂😂
@@PeachyTips love it, who needs a cat ;-)
Loved the ad with Dr. Pevil. The double eyepatch is a stroke of evil genius. All that was missing was a white cat. 😕
Yeah I was struggling to find one, but next time I’ll add a bit more pussy in 😂👍
every time I plan to make a Crooked Dice order...it gets outta hand. I need Ming the Merciless..oh Road Warrior...The Prisoner, Battlestar, Thundar, KRULL!?! oh, £320---yah, no can do. Not interested in 7TV, but the minis are my jam
The figures are dangerously good, and like you…..it gets very out of hand 😂🤣
Thanks so much for this Sir!
Dude! It was an absolute pleasure, love the game, love the minis, and your all lovely folks…..and it’s a topic I’ve wanted to cover since starting my channel.
And I get to find an excuse to paint up Bond 😂🤣
Congratulations on one of the best ads I've seen in a while.
Thank you, I won’t lie I got to have a lot of fun going that
This concept, along with gadgets, directing new episode etc. is super similar to polish steampunk tabletop RPG system Wolsung. I played it for a couple of years and possibilities that this specific approach gave were amazing. Very nice to see this ideas finding way to tabletop, being even more universal!
Watched this and immediately searched for mutant turtle minis. Amazing. White metal though = nostalgic cold sweat 😅
Fantastic game. I've loved it since first edition and it just keeps getting better.
Couldn't agree more! Top game, top minis…..I love it!
@@TimPoultneybrill I’ll check that later when I’m hobbying, cheers 😍👍
@@TimPoultney OMG what a resource for ideas!!!! thank you for sharing this I FREAKING LOVE IT!!!!
@@PeachyTips I'm so glad! There's so much to say about it -- The deep shadows and dark mood, the incredible voice cast, the music, as well as, of course, the design and settings!
Can't believe Dr P. Evil threw out all your washes.
And I'll definitely be looking into this to recreate my favorite Stargate SG-1 episodes
Oooh yeah! We’ll see print miniatures do a bunch of stargate prints you can buy, and hasslefree has a bunch too
@ looks like I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas 😆
@@Gryndiroops meant to put We Print Miniatures 🤦♂️
That’s a lot of awesome sounding Games! Flash Gordon FTW!!! and yes those are weird sounding Games 😂🤣
It’s crazy the variety of tv shows Karl has miniatures for 🤯👍
Love this video.
Sounds like a huge bunch of fun❤
The poster unhinging, just purfection 😄
Hahaha! Was a blooper, but decided it should stay in lol
Cool game platform to know about! Thanks!
Never thought I’d see Gi Joe, let alone the aliens and resistance from V, and yet here we are 😂👍
You should cover Draculas America…right up your alley and uses figures you will love
Well that’s getting added to my list
Probably the best ad I’ve ever seen 😂❤
Ha! Cheers, you giving me Carlsberg ad vibes there
@@PeachyTips :-D
Nearly spat my drink over my keyboard at "Miss Cashcoin..."! 😂😂
😂😂😂 eek! Glad you managed to hold it in though
Hahaha! Now that’s a crossover I’d want to see. 😂😂😂
I love all the GI Joe minis! Have you done a Shipwreck or Bazooka yet? They were the best!
I haven’t, I have a whole list still to work through, but bazooka, shipwreck, and Barbeque we’re also favouritesI did have a lowlight in the Gi Joe pick but in the end I couldn’t fit him in the shot 😭
Never heard of this before, but color me intrigued...
I would love a video on Burrows and Badgers
Damn, think when I can afford it next year I'll have to sign up to be part of the Peachy's Peachs with those uniforms and help get make that volcano base a reality
Hahaha! You also get Dental, and monthly cake giveaways in my Evil organisation
Peachvil
Oooh Sean in all the ages would make for a great team of adventures too! I like this
We need Sean Bean Frankenstein minis :)
Speaking of evil genius, there's a fairly new company called Evil Genius Games which has developed a game called Everyday Heroes which those models could go well with. The owner might even do an interview style video with you.
Ooh I’ll be looking into this! Thank you for putting it on my Radar 👍👍👍
Never seen anyone do eye brows before, nice touch
I wont lie, I was debating my life choices when I was doing it hahaha
Ralph Fiennes playing the real life Peachy playing the fictional evil genius Dr P. Evil
Hahaha now that’s some evil genuis inception stuff going on right there
