People love to talk shit but the infantry doesn’t really change all that much. This is the same shiz they were doing back in the 90s. People will always act like they had it tougher etc. but in reality the army has always worked with what they have- since the beginning of the military they have needed bodies and that means they will push people through because of something specific they bring to the table. This is nothing new. And it’s the same sentiment to the people who are complaining about females in the infantry. We are graded to a different standard because we have biologically different bodies and we bring different strengths to the table. The army has always worked with what they have and that’s not going to change and has never changed.
@@_DMNO_ some people are better at things than others: shooting, agility, ability to think coherently under pressure, if you have a smaller frame you usually have better balance, some are more flexible than others etc etc. At the end of the day, when we’re talking about the possibility of combat, men and women both have useful strengths. And just because someone may be a super beast physically, it doesn’t mean that they won’t get lit up by gunfire as soon as they step foot into a combat zone. War is a game, and sometimes you lose and sometimes you win. We all deserve an opportunity as long as we’re pushing HARD.
Glad to see the barracks haven’t changed a bit since I went through in July 1983. The PT side looks like it got a LOT easier though. In my day you’d thank God when you saw the “cattle cars” pull up to a range.
exactly what I was thinking , im joining next year to try going down the ranger route... but gotta pass this in order to even attempt rasp lmao, crazy what a difference it is
@@blezys7869 I was simply stating that its a crazy difference... wasn't throwing any shade I know not everyone will be a stud in basic or not everyone has the determination and drive to be DA, I'm humble enough to know my place and realize that I will get my ass kicked in rasp but basic is a cake walk in comparison is pretty much what I was getting at. no shade at all brother
