My husband when he was younger was a ground's keeper for a former Maurder that ended up going through some mess in Korea. Anyway he had lost his legs in Korea and as he got older he needed someone to just check his property for poachers etc. My husband had never heard of Merril's Mauraders (maybe misspelled) until he met this gentleman, who was one of the most respectful men unless you crossed him. Seeing this makes me think of those men and even the man who I never met that helped shape my husband into the man he is today. Much respect to all serving, who have served, and who can measure up to men of that caliber today. Do not weaken, stay strong. They who blazed the way are watching.
I've never heard of this competition until today. I saw a YT short and was amazed. and immediately had to see more. what shocks me is the huge range of tasks involved in this competition! it's also really interesting how they modeled the course after real events/battles.
I'm a veteran of the Army. Did my 10 years. I was a 88Mike. I will let you know I have always admired those that could go further than me. These are the finest if the best. I was a cross country runner in high school,but my cardio would never allow me to accomplish what these men have. I always wished I could achieve this status, but genetics just didn't give me that status. That's why I ended up being a better 40 out of 40. Always hit everything in my cross hairs. Hooah
It would be interesting to hold a similar competition featuring elite teams from all services. Then have a bragging rights kind of prize for the winning service at the end. Personally I'd like to see how PJs, Navy EOD, or SEALS hold up to this type of competition.
@@Anonymous18817 No woman has come close to winning the Best Ranger Competition. The only women to even become Rangers received special treatment where the standards were lowered to help them pass. A big blow to the excellent reputation of the US Army Rangers. If you want to become a Ranger, then meet their requirements.

Just because I don't believe in an insane dorito haired lunatic or a creepy half-dead flip-flopper, doesn't mean I don't wish the best for the military. You don't fight for the president, you defend your country.
@@HagakureJunkie You're in the minority then, I'm a Marine Vet 98-05 OEF, who did security at bars in downtown Houston and I can tell you from firsthand experience that Bernie Sanders supporters and other leftists absolutely HATE the military and veteran's.
Maybe it's not that hard when you're being graded on a Pass/Fail but keep in mind you're now competing against Elite ranger-qualified and experienced soldiers. The level gets raised because of the competition.
