The redshift blade talk is well-timed because in Japan, Redshift swap dual zims is already recognized as a strong teams build and won the last teams event.
The part about taking meta builds and then making your own adjustments to them is something I really feel on a personal level. I'm not a good player by any means, but one of the most satisfying moments I've had playing AC6 PvP was when I started using a very basic lightweight kite with Harris and Ransetsu and then, out of the blue, swapped the P06/SPD booster for the Gridwalker. I don't know if it's strictly better, but the ability to combine vertical and horizontal kiting fits my style and made the experience of playing the build twice as engaging for me.
Yea it is the beauty of AC, I strictly uses a few combinations of the VP/VE parts, yet it was still incredibly fun to mix and match booster x weaponries and finding the sweet spots within the restrictions
I use the NGI booster for my lightweight kite. I used gridwalker at first, but once NGI's vertical thrust got buffed, I swapped to it for both the quick boost and the verticality
Really like those new Videos showcasing, playing and explaining the new Top Builds from Leaderboard. Maybe ill pick up the game again and climb the Rank-Ladder
Old toku/mypod build only hard loses against dual etsujins or dual ducketts. The constant barrage of bullets defeats the ps shield easily. Zimms shield an power baka are manageable for toku builds, considering you are good in parries and using covers
That Pikachu build looks similar to something I came up with myself! I'm wondering what the optimal frame parts would be though, I'm just running what looks cool now hahaha
I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding something but if the purpose is to maintain stagger, is the reason we use laser orbit over Huxley due to up time? Travel time? or both?
Huxley has significantly less up-time and shorter range (185m vs 260m against trainer-AC) compared to ORBT. Huxley's job is to maintain AND build-up impact within a short-period of time, for stagger-focused builds that desperately look for a devastating punish. ORBT's job is to maintain but NOT build-up impact over a long period of time, instead it accumulates EN damage with 25% boosted by 20B Generator. The Toku-robo can potentially land a devastating punish with charged LRB shots, but ultimately it has a single duckett only so attempting to win a stagger-war even with the help of huxley against other menacing setups like Zimmshield and Dual-ducks would be a lost cause. The same goes for trying to stagger a zippy LW with a single duckett and a single Huxley only. ORBT helps refining Toku-robo's playstyle which is primarily damage focused but can still stagger you over-time if you are not careful while chasing/being chased by it. ORBT is a filler-slot though so you can still try out other option if it suits your specific need or playstyle, like Huxley, 3PM or even P04ACT-01
@@abshope538 thanks for clarifying! I've just kinda built whatever looked cool and have gotten really far with just that. This is the first time I think I'm looking at like the games current "Meta" which is why I was not fully understanding. I think I have a much greater grasp on it now thanks!
@@artist686 Sorry I made a mistake. The Orbt doesn't receive the 25% EN Firearm spec bonus from 20B Generator. I thought it would benefit from it like Aurora does.
I've seen this build making te rounds in A Rank. The shield you chose to use really matters as I've overpowered some of the poorly played versions If I can get them to whif 2 shots from the rifle.
To be fair your not a bad player haven’t played you but I can tell by watching you play your pretty good with your movement and your not using kite rifles which is 80% of top leaderboard builds so don’t beat yourself up homie
I'm really not sure that having two examples of LWs hitting top ranked spots counts as evidence that the game balance isn't skewed towards heavies. When you can design a functional and competitive LW, and then 90% of the time (when NACHT legs' freakish biped jump isn't integral to the playstyle) switch a midweight set of legs like the C3 or 422 on and make it better, that's a problem and proof of the skew towards heavier builds.

Power baka has fallen off pretty hard with the osc nerf and the nerf to TQ core. I havent seen it a single time since 1.07.1 dropped. I do want to play some HW biped builds tho!

Good to see you back making content and just being awesome for the AC community.
New toku makes me incredibly happy now that etsujin and 3PM are no longer there to shaft me when I try stagger resetting.
Playing on the mechbay is more than half the fun of playing this game!
THIS BUILD IS INSANEEEEE IM GONNA LOSE MY MINDDDDD
Im signing up 1000% 😊
Any VE20B build not on tank is honorable in my books. Fun fact, the post redline en is enough for permaflight depending on the booster.
