when i was fooling around with presets in AC in the early days of the arena, Trainer was one of my best kept secrets, and I'm glad to see other people appreciate Trainer in preset tourneys
You should have a corporate tournament, where people have to rep a single corporation and only use pieces from that corp (or a neutral/allied if they are missing internals like balam or something.
Seeing the potential of the trainer AC makes me want to see a tester pilot skill slider. Also, with how central AI has been in AC games, it makes me wonder what a real AI could do in game. From a game development standpoint, it seems like a useful tool for determining how to balance the game.
ACVD you could program, a partner AC. I didn't really get into it, but I didn't get to far into it. I did wind up fighting some nasty ones though. If they didn't have a player backing them I could've won, but most of my teammates split off, and that's not good against a JP player.
... Find it funny that when you look at it Trainer and Headbringer are pretty much the same build meaning Iguazu is basically using a modified Trainer and imma be honest I use a full Melander for a build and it's pretty vicious for mid to long combat

Yeah, there's no shortage of people to play against, but the scale is so much smaller. I just wish we had cross-platform so I could try my hand in the big tournaments and get beat up by my favorite niche online micro-celebrities
"you might think it's easy for killing it so many times in training mode" Nah man I seen that thing dodge attacks some of the harder pilots in the game struggle with and it ain't even trying to take it to the air.
I'm currently messing around in B rank experimenting with builds and play styles. I decided to try out trainer as a joke because I ran into a locksmith cosplayer. Now I have 3 slightly modified versions of trainer as my Mains, because I couldnt stop winning. Trainer is OP.
I think its just because the only advantage of the scudder over the turner is a bit more offensive power and a negligible improvement on range while being worst at everything else. The turner is just more reliable than the scudder pvp, though to be fair I don't think anyone is using the 2 in pvp accept for like cosplay build or preset matches like these. They're not that great in pvp.
Preset tourney was a ton of fun, I greatly enjoyed fighting everyone. Trainer goes brrrrrr.

Headbringer is a super solid AC honestly.
