Maybe it's different on PC, but I just got back into PvP on the Playstation and I'm having a ton of fun. I get matches quickly and lots of different builds. Happy to see so many lightweights. I had been S ranked before the reset but I'm having a much better time A ranked. Grateful for the PvP PS players out there
I would love to get back into ranked and start watching more high level tournaments but I just cant. AC6 PvP to me just has a lot of glaring issues that really get in the way of enjoying it as much as I want to.
I think that now that Elden Ring dlc has been released we will see some love for AC6. Maybe an expansion dlc with another play through of story from another perspective a couple more unique items etc or a full second game like they have done in the past. We’ll get an “AC6: Coral Resurgance”
Hey Hutassa, I've been lurking for a while now, I like watching these matches from time to time, for me to join something like this will just sour my day/night due to toxic people/builds n the fact these matches are of 2 minutes like ranked, people will just resort to RATTING n such.. :c whiiich I'm comfortable in RFC since it's 10 minutes to avoid ratting. I'm a casual girl n don't go super hardcore competitive like KTN does, Stryder has taught me stuff here n there n I am fairly evenly matched with him.. I just don't feel comfortable to join your discord just yet.. Anyway, have a good one o uo
How are the majority of these matches so smooth/low-lag? Do you have a mod running or a network testing process that contestants must follow or something? I've played against a few of these folks in Custom Matches and the latency was not good, no offense to them necessarily, I don't think it's usually on purpose. I have gigabit fiber and am using a CAT5 cable/am not on wifi (ew), so it shouldn't be on my end unless this game requires you to open ports or some nonsense to get all the mileage you can outta the (let's be honest) outdated netcode. I appreciate the video and the support you're giving the community btw, but my interest in the PvP scene feels more like a toxic relationship than it does a healthy competition atm, and I want to know if there are any explanations for my experiences or, better yet, a known way to fix the problem. The game's incredible, but I find at least 1 in 3 matches to be too frustrating/laggy to handle, it's tough to stick with the game and take it seriously when this is such a problem, at least in my experience and in spite of my system/connection. Any info would be great, otherwise thanks for the latest upload! I learn so much with each competition you put on! (btw, to be clear I mean that about 1/3 of players I fight seem to be affected by lag negatively or positively to a clearly noticeable extent, it's not literally 1/3 of matches, the same guy with a good connection tends to be a good player to fight against day in and day out.) Edit: Okay I got to the part where you all started complaining about the netcode, some of the contestants were complaining about issues in chat even. I'm guessing that things look so smooth because you're the lobby host?
Tournament participant here - there are indeed minimum network requirements to ensure things go smoothly, and if something is fucky you can call for a network test and decide where to go from there with arbitration from Striker. Technical issues do still occur once in a while, but like 9 out of 10 matches go a-okay. And yes, keep in mind that this is the spectate mode POV, which also affects how things look, so it may not accurately reflect some aspects of latency-induced nonsense in this game.

Hello I have an Idea that might be really good for tournament settings, After watching one of my favorite team based fighting game in a tournament the organizer made a special type of tournament for the game, In the community, people made a tier list of characters to then add them to a list of ratio, the characters would cost a number of points depending of the rank and the total of points is dependant on the orgonizer. The game at its core is a very challenging game in a tournament setting, so the ratio system can balance things out to make S tier characters less potent and make sets more interresting in the meta, so I hade the idea of what if AC6 organizer made a ratio for weapon parts so that people would have a better balanced experience, it would be like a weight class system in a real life sport like boxing or mma. For example health and weight could be the main stats that would divide builds into classes and then organizer would check on the weapon ratio for clearance.
Not the worst time to join. Community is fairly small, the meta is far from solved, and people are experimenting with different tournament formats to bring up build variety. Many old heads have either moved on or are still around simply not taking things as seriously anymore so its not like there isn't room for fresh talent. Tourney's cost nothing to enter and you'll be guaranteed at least a couple fights against decent players.

Armored Core 6 hasn’t even been out a full year. This game is far from needing life brought into it. People played ACVD on and off for YEARS. Practically a decade. And the community was far smaller in those days. You gotta learn to play the long game with Armored Core and have patience.
I mean it’s currently a single player game with tagged on multiplayer compared to VD it’s not fair hopefully the next installment or dlc will add more for other People to grab onto
ACVD had good pvp that was relatively balanced, and you could use your skill to outmatch a quote on quote “better build” AC6 is completely full of of one trick cheese rat builds because people realize the best builds take absolutely zero skill. They just need to run the whole match and wait out the clock, it’s boring and not fun
It's unfortunate that the PC scene only has a few thousand concurrent players, but it simply can't be helped. There are far too many issues still present with the game, and the community utilizes "clumsy" far too often. It's repulsive. You have a better chance getting a fair match in a tournament where your play can be scrutinized, but it isn't enough to encourage more people to play, not while EAC and lag switches (physical or software) ruin the connection.
ac6 pvp suffers from a boring meta with not enough build freedom. the gameplay itself is a dream. balancing in a game where you can duel wield any weapon is difficult and i cannot come up with a fix personally.
No because you see that tank build in your fight club? It's unplayable at A rank and above because there are no penalties for running with higher speed AC's. Also you were playing duel zimmies dude with shield... So yes pvp incentives all the wrong things, cuts down in build diversity, and discourages honest play. Unless it's a fight club and people are being nice for no reason.
I'll tell you what if you post a video of you going from D rank to S rank with a 250 speed tank I'll get back into AC 6 pvp. I managed A rank without kiting see how far you get.

never played an armored core or robot game before but ac6 and it’s pvp is peak.

What would be cool is an over boost expansion. Like instead of AA you can refill energy and boost at a very high speed.

I find my enjoyment in pvp by using presets and making memeish edits to them like making v2 snail mad stomp and such
