Even though I know how to ollie, I can't really do any of the tricks in this video, so it's cool to have something else to practice while trying to progress further with regular tricks :)
I have massive bruises on my ankle from trying to learn it and it's pretty hard to get in the beginning and still scares me to do one while in motion but it gets better after a while
True, but it takes a long time for some beginners to really get that trick, and since it's always the first trick people say to learn, many folks just quit and think skate tricks are impossible. I love videos like this that show other tricks to build confidence so it's easier to keep cracking that ollie and have fun.
As a beginner, this video is awesome and very motivating :-) Your instructional videos are short and straight to the point - I love that they are no bs. GO JONNY GO

Nice video, Jonny. Started skating this year and I've been having a blast, but progressing slowly. Since my ollies are still rocket and shaky, tricks like these can be satisfying to learn and make me pumped to keep practicing
Starting to get my Ollie down just gotta get the lending down better and the strawberry milkshake is an awesome little break and a breath of fresh air to learn
Believe it or not, I'd like more info on the Revert.... Im struggling with slides... I dont know id its the floor Im rinding, but still cannot do it right. Thanks.
70%front foot and 30%backfoot just gain a bit momentum not too much or you will fly off your board. Its the same as in longboard sliding 180 but then way less force needed
Give it time and practice. Ive skated for close to 20 years and am barley comfortable but can ride switch... But it took a ton just riding around that way.
Good video Jonny. Make more of these trick lists, I guess any skater likes to learn new tricks, even though they are easy or hard. I'm gonna learn the old skool kickflip 4 sure! I also like the videos where you really go into a certain trick. Keep shreddin' Cheers from the Netherlands!
you can do the casper stall whilst riding, it's just a whole lot harder because your momentum suddenly stops which you've got to adapt to at first, the easiest way to do it riding is fakie.
Ich schaue mir ja gerne diese ganzen abgefahrenen megatechnik tricks an, die du sonst so machst. Aber das vid gibt mir mal ein paar richtig gute Ideen mit auf den Weg. Thx for this
I feel like the nose stall is a good way to work up to an ollie, I'm a beginner skater, whom can't ollie. But I believe I understand the basic physics of it, and etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the nose stall almost the same movement of an ollie because you're popping your tail, and pulling your front foot up to catch on the box or curb? If you can get good at nose stalling larger objects couldn't you just remove the box or curb entirely to be able to ollie?
Alright I'm still learning inward heelflip but I ride regular and of course you do to Jonny giger but I'm getting half rotation on inward heelflip what needs to happen with my back foot any tips that I might not know. But yeah thank you for the videos keep making them your helping over a million others your an inspiration to me so thank you.
Straight to the point. I like that.
I landed my first strawberry milkshake today and I’m so happy 😀

Me too, i tried some of these and cant do them! And found ollies much easier then these
@@JSB-2Z-2K an Ollie is easier that number 10

Strawberry milkshake looks cool
I have massive bruises on my ankle from trying to learn it and it's pretty hard to get in the beginning and still scares me to do one while in motion but it gets better after a while
@@loralikali8143 omg i remember when i was trying to learn it, my ankle was so bruised lol. good job btw!!
There's nothing better than a plain ole big phat ollie
It's the best trick ever.
True, but it takes a long time for some beginners to really get that trick, and since it's always the first trick people say to learn, many folks just quit and think skate tricks are impossible. I love videos like this that show other tricks to build confidence so it's easier to keep cracking that ollie and have fun.
@@deanblack2259 agreed! Also makes playing a game of skate possible without being able to kickflip and all that : )
True
LMAO the way u say that
As a beginner, this video is awesome and very motivating :-) Your instructional videos are short and straight to the point - I love that they are no bs.
GO JONNY GO
Go Johnny go, go!
Jonny B. Goode!

i love how the video just starts. no long speech or anything thats awesome
cool video Jonny, no unneeded introduction, straight to the point and really honorable commentatory :)

Ikr

The hippie jump is the scariest trick in all of skateboarding
The Reddit Rabbit no not really

excuse me
i tried it once and i fucked up xd
you know what grind is?
The slowmo makes the moves even more awesome!.. any advise & tips so that my kid can be half as good as you would be appreciated..

Just love this oldschool stuff! I'm thinking about starting skating again and only focus on oldschool tricks
Nice video, Jonny. Started skating this year and I've been having a blast, but progressing slowly. Since my ollies are still rocket and shaky, tricks like these can be satisfying to learn and make me pumped to keep practicing
Really cool and truly inspiring! I'm just at the skate start and looking forward to learn these tricks and even more... Thanx a lot, man!
Starting to get my Ollie down just gotta get the lending down better and the strawberry milkshake is an awesome little break and a breath of fresh air to learn
I just ordered a board today. Last time I skated was 20 years ago and I was looking for some beginner tricks. Thanks for the great video! :)
Believe it or not, I'd like more info on the Revert.... Im struggling with slides... I dont know id its the floor Im rinding, but still cannot do it right. Thanks.
Bruno Freitas More weight on the foot that's not pushing/pivoting truck maybe?
Bruno Freitas put your front foot at the top bolts and do a 180 nose pivot but slide your wheels across the ground
Do you need smooth ground like skate parks or can you do it on rough concrete too?
@@JSB-2Z-2K it's better to be on smooth ground when you're starting but it can be done anywhere
70%front foot and 30%backfoot just gain a bit momentum not too much or you will fly off your board. Its the same as in longboard sliding 180 but then way less force needed
Now this is a great video for beginning, not like those who start with the kickflip beforehand as if it was easy
0:05 stationary tricks
Rodney Mullen casper slide:hold my beer
Nevermind I am going to learn ollie-
Casper Stall really kick ass.
That's my futur challenge !
The first video that ive seen someone going straight to the point. That's really nice, good job
I just started skateboarding, and I'll sure start with ollie rather than any of those. Thanks for the video anyway !
Samuel Sciaux hows ur progess now
Matias Tartaglia probably
This video brightened up my day after a shitty day. Thank you.
4:02 is the best one in this list
I just cant wrap my head around riding while in switch. I skate regular, and instantly lose all board control/balance when I go to goofy.
That’s me, but I’m goofy
Give it time and practice. Ive skated for close to 20 years and am barley comfortable but can ride switch... But it took a ton just riding around that way.
It’s like learning how to play guitar left handed

Jonny Giger big up from morocco bro i love you ✌💪💪
Hey Jonny. The trick "strawberry milkshake" has an incorrect name. The original name for it is the reoccurring nightmare.
Suck
Im watching this before i need to go and sleep so tomorow i will try all! Thanks!
Thanks dude it helps a lot!!
Damn the old school kickflip is dope, my fav
Very inspiring! Thanks! I'll probably try them at home :)
Great tricks for a beginner I remember learning them all. Boneless is one I still use one the rare chance I get to skate
Bro I just learned that tail finger flip after struggling so hard on ollies. Feels so good to do a cool looking trick
Thanks for very helpful for beginners 👍👍
Thanks man, something to keep people progressing while they try to nail that illusive ollie
Beautiful tricks and voice ;)
Great list, thanks, I'll be trying them out one by one!
Thanks I’m gonna try this!!
Straight to the point
Everyone liked that
Nice vid! Makes me wanna grab my board and try them out down in the garage!
A bonus one if you can Nosestall than just to the same but coming parallel to the curb and you got yourself a Slappy Noseslide
Thanks Jonny. Your videos are awesome.
Thank you for the video Jonny! :) It will be mighty useful for me! :D
same thanks for vid
great selection
This was recommended to me lol and I got everything so far except a couple

great list. More pls

Is it better to use a smaller skateboard I’ve always had anxiety about hurting myself with boards.
Rock to fakie I know is mostly commitment but I still think a trick tip would be helpful, thanks!
wooooow so helpful Thanks!

No. All you do is push down a little on your tail to raise your front trucks. You don't slide your foot like in a nolle.
Jonny you really do have the best skatboarding RUclips channel.
Thanks for the tips man👍
The Casper stall is the coolest
I love how he was straight to the point and didn’t do all that extra talk

The finger flip thing I need that one explained
Thanks for this👌💕
I was practicing the pick up flip yesterday, and I warn you don't stomp crazy hard our you will get a skateboard to the mouth.
Some of these names are from VL Skate
Melhor vídeo muito obrigado ❤️
Casper flip is mega hard, gonna keep trying though, ps I can Ollie but not do these tricks
Old School flip are hard to do with speed tho :p
great vid straight to the point. I didnt know what alot of those were called, Now I do XD
I've always been told that the "Strawberry Milkshake" is called a California Roll
The strawberry milkshake is one of the hardest on this list.
I can’t do all this before an oille except no comply 180
Hey Men bigfan ❤️
How can I fix my Tre flip and make it higher
Goat Goat pop higher
Why am I here I longboard
you can do all those tricks on a longboard :)
abelsaft no you can’t :)
Jose is mexican lmao :)
Idk why casper is my fav trick
For me is rock n roll way easyer than rock to faike
Faz um vídeo tutorial ensinando todas as variações do no comply que você sabe! Vai ser dahora.
