Mall GrabMike thx bro
Lmao when I showed my dad my first ollie, all he said was "so you just jumped?"
Give him the board and tell him to try 'jumping'.
BigFatCock yes
😂😂😂
Are ya winning son?
Well you did technically jump (just with a difficulty of 14/10)
I started skating with my roommate at the beginning of quarantine and I just landed my first heelflip 2 days ago!
Ayy started skating during quarantine to
Bruh I started a year ago and I can barely pop shuv
Any suggestions?
I started one year ago and can't even do an Ollie. I'm just too afraid of landing it
How
If I’m 37 and get my Ollie, can I still show my parents? Hahahaha. Great tips man!
Same question if you're 44? Asking for a friend.
Björn Blomkvist 55 also asking for a friend
Angel 999 83 asking for a friend
yeah dude, if anything you deserve more props for learning at that age.
@@_jbp209 Im 6 months old my mom thought it was dope
He kids if you're struggling learning how to Ollie, I learned it by popping the board and jumping forward. If you do that your foot will automatically go up on your board. I hope this is helpful for you guys.
How far forwards? I'm going to try this tomorrow.
@@bradybowman8835 if youre already moving and have momentum then you wont need to worry about exactly how far forwards, just jump in the forward direction and it will help
oh god imma try this tommorow chief, looks like legit thing
Exactly what makes the huge difference. I envision making a small circle/oval motion.
Shifting the wait to the tail while crouching -> Extend & jump forward
@@ouroruo isn't that while u riding.
I'm trying these at the skatepark tonight, wish me luck!
Jill Leflour you’re a badass! Love your channel, fellow girl skater lol
Go get em, Jill!
how did it turn out?
Thanks for the hype everyone! ☺️ I did not quite manage the kickflip but I did land one half kickflip. I have still to find the sweet spot in the strength of the flick to have it rotate properly but only halfway, because my board would just kinda flop on the side with 0 pop. I managed quite a few of the ollies pushing down on the nose though 🛹 Did not get around to trying the shuvit tip, but I told it to a girl at the session and she managed to land her first shuvit that night! So I get overall George’s tips do help ☺️
@@JillLeflour epic !! I wanna learn
I’ve been trying to Ollie for like 2 yrs+ now and I FINALLY DID IT
Mr. Dimsum really 2 years bro gg
Sean Daly some people learn faster then others I know a few people who were able to Ollie after 1-2 years
Mr. Dimsum i’m goin on 4 months now 😢
@@apesounds3408 yo today I started to try to ollie and I was getting both wheels off the ground after all day, what I did to start to learn was jump pretty high and about a quarter second after I jumped I popped it really hard. Then I slid my foot forward. It only got like 3 inches off the ground but after about a half hour I was landing them consecutively
I learned a Ollie the first week 🤷♂️😂
When he said "makes the trick click easily"
That's actually true, in my experience everytime i try a new trick there's a sensation that feels like a "click" or a pop in your brain that immediately tells you how to do the trick
I started last month and just got the "click" feeling a week ago with my Ollie. I'm having so much fun just jumping around.
dude. when everything goes just right you really get that sensation. like your whole self is so relieved.
You helped me land my first ollie :)
you have a nice profile pic
Send Memes haha
Andyross congrats dude i did the same a month or so ago
Dude actually wtf I literally just landed a Kickflip perfectly after watching this!!!!!!!!! Thank youuuuuuu. Edit: THANK YOU FOR THE LIKES!!!
I did a kickflip years ago but i did it by accident i dont even know how I did it and i did it off a set of stairs on my outside porch and ive never been able to figure out how to do it since then .
@@justinreillyhyers85 i've been through that to, and is so weird to land something as a mistake, and ever after you learn it you don't actually understand how did you do that
Canal do Milico I hope this is me today. I have it all down except for my front foot not landing on the board :/
The same thing happened to me today. I tried to land on it upside down and landed my first kick flip on like my third try! So stoked. 🤘
SAMEE
I appreciate that he wears a helmet. It’s a good influence for those who want to skate. I know people think it’s dorky sometimes to wear all these protective things but in the long run I would rather have a head of construction not concussion.
Being an older skater, the helmet gives me the confidence to do more tricks with out any worrying.
I can commit to more tricks = it makes me a better skater.
the helmet is swaggy on him though lol
Finally someone whoy empathizes with beginners and explains in the sight of them :D
HOLY SHIT MY OLLIE IS WAY BETTER I AM OUTSIDE RN
George the timing of your vids yo. You always release them as I’m out in the middle of a sesh. I watch these vids and gimme energy.SHOUTOUT GEORGE!!🥰💯‼️
I don’t even hear the content before I hit the “like” button! How’s that for commitment?! Have nice day G! I’ll try these out.
Sirjustis he did
Sirjustis I did this while reading this comment too lmao
that’s what i just diddd
Thanks George- I have come back to skating after 30 years- I am 46, an RN and an Officer in the Australian Army and watching your vids not only keeps me stoked on skating but has helped me progress...you are a good egg! Keep the vids coming mate!
Anthony_ O'Brien that’s rad to hear !
Did u just call my boyfriend the “Egg”
@@LLL-zx6dw 😂😂😂it's an Australianism
That is sick to hear bro keep going
Good to hear, I too skated in my teens and now at age 38 I ordered a new board today... And already looking at tutorials, good luck man!
John is definitely gonna put you on his team I’m calling it now
I want to like this but its at 69
Love ur vibe, keep spreading positive vibe and giving advice trough ur videos. Keep up the good work!!
This is one of the channels that inspired me to pick up skateboarding again at age 27 (and document it so i can look back at my progress), I never managed an Ollie on the move as a kid but today managed to not only Ollie on the move, but also higher than I could do stationary thanks to this "hack". Great teaching!
I had been struggling with my commitment on heels and kickflips, and not even kidding 1 day after rewatching this vid, I landed both. You're a legend!
Wow I’ve been struggling to get my back wheels off the ground in ollies and the seesaw method really made sense in my head!! I will definitely try it out
DUDE I’ve had the exact same thing with my kickflips. I’ve had the flick down for three months and could land with one foot. I’m gonna try to catch it on the bottom now thank you so much!
This was back in April, I watched this vid because I was really struggling with ollies and I wasn’t progressing. I saw this vid and watched the whole thing. Your tips on ollies helped me so much. As soon as I watched the video I went outside and applied your tip to the Ollie. I got so much air it was the best feeling. Unfortunately I have stopped skating for many months. I should have kept on going because that was a huge milestone for me. I’m going to have to rewatch this video. Thank you so much!
Helped so much I landed my first kick flip after watching this and now, a week later they are decently consistent
I'm gonna learn the shove-it now. That's my promise to you George.
Did you?
Can you shov it now?
For everyone asking: Im really close (can get it to shov, and my front foot on but not my back) but i've been slacking on that and working on slappys mostly
@@otislegoking me too , its hard to land your back foot on the board I NEED A TIPS TO DO IT
@@dilandduck7538 if you struggling with getting it underneath of you or trying to commit, it seems for me that if I stand with my back straight and completely over the board it will make it easier to commit or get it in front of you
Bro so good!! I just landed my first kickflip 2 days ago with the help of your TikTok! Such a great feeling! All love bro!!
I’ve watched your channel here and there but not all that much. That changes today because I landed my first kick flip today because of this. You’re a legend!
George’s videos get me through the week 💛
I just landed my first ollie the day before this video and I wanted to learn these tricks but no vids helped. So thx for the video and it's perfect timing. Any tips for a beginner skateboarder drop them down below pls ty.
I’ve been skating and I had trouble with kickflip a still, great tip
Mate! I'm a 38 years old-timer and getting back into skating now that my kids are keen too. Thanks so much for the amazing and engaging posts: I've learned more in 2 weeks of iso down in the basement than ever have done before! Keep the great material coming 👍
some sick tips thanks so much, so stoked to try these tmrw!!
“That is because of some very simple rules of physics I don’t know what they’re called maybe like anersia or something friction? Idk”

I’ve been watching skate tutorials since 6:30 pm. And now it is 11:14.
I think I have a problem
@@yazzz3028 progress?
Dude thank you so much George these are gonna be game changers can’t wait to try them out !
Loving your content George. Got my first board a couple weeks ago and have been loving every second I've gotten to use it. You are a huge reason why I decided to even give it a shot! Thank you for inspiring me and giving us newbies some tips. Gotta try them out now!
I can do all these tricks down stairs, why am I watching this video lol, well cause George
Ollie is really hard man! I can’t seem to jump my board. Every time I do so it’s just a few inch for like a second. Doing tricks is never easy especially for a newbie. But it won’t stop me from learning and trying despite being scared.
Thank you soo much for the help definitely needed it
I'm glad you mentioned the seesaw method. I didn't know what to call it but when I learned that little trick my ollies got higher! Another little trick that helped me was making sure that my back foot is just as high as my front flip when I jump. This help the board get even higher when you level out and prevents you from stunting the height of your ollie. I have my shove it and ollies down next step is the kickflip. Thank you for this vid!
Thank you I finally landed my kick flip I’m so happy 😁
I alwase imagine that Im playing a game of skate and if i mise it iTS a letter
hahaha
I just tell myself: if you don’t land the trick, you have to go to bed at 9:00 tonight or something
@@twinkiedinkskating851 Yes but then if you miss you say, Wait one more time or Wait that was bad
@@nateproductions414
Yep. I always do that.
@@twinkiedinkskating851 LMAO its so true tho
Dude thaaaaanks. Honestly you are the best for figuering these out and presenting them. This is exactly what i needed. I can ollie kinda well right now but I actually ended up learning how to ollie exactly the way you told it and it helped me alot. Im forsure sending this to a couple of friends that need these tips!!!
your videos gimme soo much energy and I love it
I needed this when I was younger
I have just learnt my ollies and are now trying kickflips this helped me so much
finlay foy u need to practice Ollie’s fully first
I wouldn’t recommend going straight into kickflips, learn the other basic tricks like fs and bs 180, shuvit and front shuvit, and then you can go into it, trust me it will help so much on the long run
You should keep practicing ollies first or you might forget how to do them.
You’re the best keep doing you. I wish you would upload more!
Been skating for 20 days now and just landed a shuvit before an Ollie and now I’ll try learning the Ollie I liked and subscribed
I'm trying to land a kickflip and your tip makes complete sense, I'm gonna try it ASAP, thanks!
Kalvi Balisong lmao you flip to what’s your ig in balilover23
Have you landed it?
today i landed my first varial flip, so happy :D
Finally someone has a different technique to ollies. I watched so many videos and can’t Ollie still. Can’t wait to try the seesaw trick tomorrow:)
Real helpful like always 👍🏾
when i landed my first kickflip I did it on my carpet then I went straight outside and did it in a couple tries
When I learn the shuv it I was scared about put my to feet on the board. So i take the weels and true trucks off and I try to shuv with the deck only and I catch it in only few tries
You can also wrap the wheels with socks so that they don’t move and then you have a better feel for the board
Just started skateboarding and your videos are honestly the only ones that help me!
thank you so much!!
your videos is very helpfuly💓💓
I landed a kickflip two hours after I watched this video thank you so much George
Was getting frustrated and opened up RUclips to find you uploaded 😂
Super great tips!! Love your content man, seriously
Keep inspiring us george with your skating! Please
Lets just take a moment to thank george for not making a video just to get that 10 minute adrevenue he could have easily made this 10:02 like every other youtuber
I got more confused in the shuvit part lol
I love you for this, I’m a beginner skateboard and that is my problem with my Ollies. Now I know to dive down on the nose. Thank you so much 🙏
These tips are golden !
2:38 It's Newton's third law of motion, the principle of action-reaction : For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. It's how rockets work btw. Grasping physics that is involved in skateboarding really helped me making tricks more intuitive
i lost all my brain cells
@@nastehoaa7982 because of falling?
Hey please i have a question, for the ollie do i have to jump forward?
Not while still, but while rolling you want to jump forward, it’ll help get your back wheels a lot higher. I would recommend learning ollies while rolling
no dont jump forward, just lean forward while jumping up, not forward
You're a goat I love videos where they teach you practice methods not just the steps to do a trick
Landed my first shove it 1 hour after watching this. The one tip where I look at the spot where I want my board to go was very helpful and it helped me to commit to the landing. Thank you George!
yup with the kick flip landing one foot perfect form for about to days I’ll edit my comment tomorrow if I landed it
EDIT: I LANDED IT!!! also I landed a varialflip one foot
When i think about bringing my front foot back i can never flick enough any tips anyone?
man I’m suffering from this rn did ya get an answer yet?😂
Hey George! I just want to say thank you so much for this video! I am finally getting high Ollies, better shuvits, and kickflip!
this video came just in time bc i just started skating! thanks george😊
Just landed my first ollies! I'm getting the hang of it! Landed one every 2/3 time I tried! Thank you George! :>
I think it helps me when I look at a certain spot on my board for tricks. So if I keep missing with both feet then I'll look the opposite direction of where I miss and it helps my brain tell my body to jump the right direction instead.
Same here ...if I look in front of my board t the ground I land things way better
Thank you ! Just got back into skating after years and I’m glad I subscribed. Very helpful 🙏🏼
Your videos helps me so much. I’ve watched your videos for a long time now and i do my tricks much better
When I try to kickflip I can do it with putting one foot at the ground but when I try to land of with two feet I can't rotate the board properly, why is this?
Fuckkkk same fucking same except the last part I can rotate 100% it’s the landing on both feet, but it’s cuz I’m not committing and scared since I sprained my back foot twice doing a kickflip......
Omg same it’s literally so weird
Same I have this problem with heelflips and kickflips
I don't know why I'm watching this I've had these tricks on lock for 8 years.
How do u land ur kickflips better?
Thanks man! This is the most helpful video for kickflips!
George, you are a skate prophet....
Keep up the good work....
oh my god, you are literally making my week rn ❤️
I got my kick flip down yesterday and saw this video after but you are right this and keeping my knees tucked longer was the only thing I had to fix
This video is great , great combo!
Can’t wait to try this kf tip! I’ll keep you posted.
Such a good video, thank you George!
This is soo cool!! Thank you so much for this😊😊
These hacks are so helpful! Thanks so much George! I love your channel!
i really needed this. Thank you!!
Amazing video! Thank you
OMG I CAN DO IT ALL NOW THANKS MAN IM SO HAPPY
this needs to be shared!
Your tip for landing kickflips seriously helped me finally get them down, thank you!
THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT !!! I will go and try that
love your vids george
Dude thanks so much for this!
george u are the best!
Yo, gorge this was the most helpful vid I ever watch in my life! Thanks man🙂
man i wish i heard this shuv tip before, i alwyas jumped in front of me anticipating the board was going to be there but always landed on the nose. just yesterday i found out you have to jump a lil to the side by myself and now it’s so much easier
you helped me land my ollie with that seesaw method and I came up with my own method for landing a shove-it and it was thinking of it as a pop-shove it since I didn't gave myself enough time to land and it felt so good landing it man. My problem with the shove-it wasn't that it kept going backwards it was just not getting my front foot on the board my back foot would always be on it but my front foot never. But thanks for all these tips man I'll most definitly come back to this video to learn a kickflip.
Omg thank u so much for the "seesaw method" it was so simple and clear but I was finally able to land my ollie's
