You will be remembered as a legend.
INXS made some fantastic music. The quality of there video making was futuristic in those days
it was played in Miami Vice. Great song

Filmed on location at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne which is still standing today and playing live music.
I think the interior is actually Westgarth cinemas (now Palace). You can see the original Art Deco circular lights on the walls and I remember sitting on those couches at the back of the old stalls in the 90’s.

Absolutely incredible song from an incredible band - it was a terrible pity that Michael Hutchence died when he did, but at least his status as a legend was confirmed before he died.

im a kiwi and grew up on stuff like inxs and queen in my dads car. long live the greats from a 21 year old who loves rap and rock music equally. rock like this has earned a big place in music history,, hopefully it has a comeback soon =)
I saw this one on The Tube a long long time ago, it started a long love affair with Aussie and INXS, still love them today Im 42. My wife and me visited Australia i 96, lovely !!!

Not in Australia. Perhaps outside of Oz, they could have more live despite the international success they had. "Kick" was an amazing album and it's one of my all-time favourites but INXS certainly had many other gems that people outside of Australia should check out more.
Nowadays people dont even know how to write michael's surname right, i mean songs like need you tonight, disappear or mystify are famous but not the image of the band itself. They deserve a lot of more recognisement just like depeche mode or tears for fears, Hollywood Hall of fame doesnt take them into account either, being a band with many years of experience, so i agree, one of the most underrated bands ever

The theatre used in this video is the Palais Theatre in St Kilda, Melbourne... recognised it immediately!
Still think this was one of their best, British fan who emigrated in the late 80's (since moved back to blighty). Massively got into them when in Oz, loved Kick, but this certainly is underrated, perhaps so is their whole work. Sad that it didn''t extend much further, RIP Michael.

I loaned this out from my local library. As a vinyl record. I had to take my needle in for them to allow me to take out records. The library was full of audiophiles in berets.
I bought the record in the end. Quality tracks.

He's up there on a live basis with Freddie Mercury Axl rose midge ure etc, Hutch was an amazing singer. The man is so missed always, Rip Hutch you legend X

Being a kid growing up in Australia in the eighties, I thought of this video as being set in the Mad Max universe.

Absolute quality tune
Mad Max inspired video for sure, but the song has a very typical Miami Vice style sound. The eighties at its best! : ) And one of their best songs, from their best album, imo. This is the INXS I loved and love. I played this on my Walkman so many times, on my way to and from high school. Really helped me through the day.

Absolutely Fantastic! I’m glad I got to see them live in November 1990 and they put a shift in with about 28/9 tracks. Michael was a proper front man that could never be replaced as he was special. I love the Mad Max vibe here.

Lyrics in 2020 are more relevant than ever! I've always loved INXS. Listen Like Thieves was used on my favorite surf movie: Scream in Blue, so Aussie and classic there isn't much on it on the internet. One thing about this video that made me laugh... the way the weapons are handled he he. What else to expect from kids with no military training? A great band.

This album was my introduction to INXS as it was their UK breakthrough. Can't think of the film that this video took its inspiration from though..how mad!

This is the St. Kilda Melbourne VIC Australia Palais Theatre!!! I've lived down here virtually all my life from late 1983 to 2019+ pending, back then S.K. was an awesome place to visit back in the 1980's! These days not so much now as gentrification and hipsters have pretty much killed it and the area is a deadzone now with no interesting places (Luna Park?!) and no meaningful shops to visit whatsoever...I can't really recommend anyone wanting to go down there these days as it's a waste of money but back then?! Hell yeah!
