I agree, but I think we should all stop worrying about who the "man" thinks was the best. In baseball, many of the best players that ever played aren't in the Hall, due to various indiscretions --- in the WWE, every friggin performer gets in, as long as he didn't embarrass the company. INXS fans, like you and me, don't need the assholes voting on the "hall of fame" to tell us who was great. But it is insane they aren't in it. They should be on the mural in the entrance way.

I've been playing lead guitar since I was 15..I'm 53 I've played in lots of local bands..I remember when we lost Michael it was like I lost a friend or a brother even though I never met him.. What a great talent I wish I could have played a song with him

I think he also was heavily influenced and evoked a level of James Brown however for the most part James Brown was very sharp Michael was very soft a seductive which gives support to him being influenced by Jim Morrison’s stage presence

Me too. I just turned 50 and sobbed in theatre as I was flooded with poignant nostalgia when I saw the Mystify documentary last month. Michael was so gorgeous, talented, and gone way too soon.

Sometimes I forget just how many great songs INXS has. I forgot about this song, but would turn up the radio when it came on back in the day. They were rock hitmakers.

ONE of my favourites, for sure. Their music, provocing lyrics and THE voice, powerful, emotional and absolutely gorgeous, made all the difference back then.....Also their incredible talents and musical achievements were way over the top. Michael Hutchence was a ONE OF A KIND guy, he had it all...he just had this magic on stage that hypnotized all of us.....Gone far too soon and incredibly missed, by all of us ....

I have always remembered seeing a documentary on INXS and in an interview they discussed how the sound they would produce in a live concert singing this song they could never reproduce in the studio.
They gave their best from they energy their fans have them.

The best band to ever walk the earth alongside Queen.
You said it ,brother - pure truth. And besides being two all times best bands they gave us also two best live performances . Inxs with Live Baby Live in 1991 and Queen giving their best in Live Aid in 1985. And the two things those two outstanding performaces have in common is that they took place in Wembley stadium and dated on the same day and month just six years apart 13.7.1991 -Inxs /13.7.1985 -Live Aid . And both Freddie and Michael sadly died 6 years after their best performance.

I just started listening to INXS again since the early 1990's. I owned 1 or 2 CD's then, and played them often, but times changed and I lost those discs, and the radio stations moved on to new music. DAMN, THIS SOUNDS GOOD.

Yes. He was so sexy. My heart broke when I heard the news. Seeing the excellent Mystify documentary really shook me. His music was/is my life. I am 50 now and really cannot get past his talent and the pure tragedy of his passing away. My God, kids these days have no clue. This was another time. Talent like Michael's doesn't come along often.

INXS was the 80's..and i never payed any attention to this song until this year (2014) and now it's my favorite INXS song
The stage lighting used in this video was revolutionary at the time.
