God I loved this band, when I was a kid I had the hugest crush on this girl across the street who was like 3 years older than me and her room was full of INXS posters. I use to sing this song to her and she would giggle and say “you’re cute”, but I wasn’t trying to be cute, I was trying so hard to be romantic. Years later we reconnected and today she’s my wife and we danced to this song at our wedding and I play this song for our two baby girls. Music bounds us all together, makes us cry, makes us love, rock... don’t change. ❤️

Might have been the 3 glasses of red wine, but as I was watching this just now, I broke down in tears. I had to get up and leave the room because I was so overwhelmed-blubbering like a little baby. This song reminds me of the early 80s when I was in jr high. My whole life was ahead of me and this song was my anthem back then. I'm now 49, barely survived a heart attack recently, and can't believe how fast the time has gone by.

@Manybugs - Peace, and Love to You My Friend. I too get emotional when I see these videos...in some ways it feels like only yesterday, and yet in other ways it feels as if it were a million years ago. It's a strange thing, that we're finding ourselves further away from those times, and from who we were, as every day goes by...it can be sad, but you're not alone in your feelings. Many of us feel as you do, and understand. I wish you all the best.

In hindsight it felt special- the early 80's was a unique window of time. As a young boy, the world was exploding and things were changing very quickly. We went from an analog world to a brave new beautiful time very quickly, and it was all "for us"...the music really belonged to kids for a short time- it felt very independent and it was unlike anything that had happened previously....New wave, synth pop, Ska, early hiphop on MTV as well as Star Wars, Alien, Raiders of the Lost Ark, BMX, skateboarding, and arcade video games. Fun times- much more carefree.

80's Music Was Great. Lively, Dynamic, With A Huge Variety Of Styles. I think young musicians burning with desire to make it had a better chance somehow with the record companies then. Now we have youtube and social media which provides opportunity for exposure but talent and exposure need to meet with the financial backing and star power know-how that a record company can offer.

Man why people always talk this? INXS is famous in entire world. In too many countries. I was born in Brasil and i know INXS, a band from literally other side of the world. They have defintely hymns: Don't Change, Never Tear Us Apart, Beautiful Girl...also Michael for me is one fo the greatests frontman's and singers of all time. This band have some kind of different feeling on his songs that make me feel on another level. My second favorite band after Oasis. No doubt about it!

I was 17 when this album was released, and every song sounded so huge to me. Michael's voice was like nothing I had ever heard. I felt like the coolest teenager on my block playing this with all the windows open in my parents house when they were away. I remember running up and down the hallway, feeling like I was being reborn from some sheltered existence. I was the last of five kids to live at home, and my parents were well into their 50's and difficult to relate to. I really needed this music, and I embraced it fully. Hearing it now at 56 is wonderful and emotional.

I listen to this song often. I was 18 when the album was released & have been a huge fan ever since. I was lucky enough to see them 2 days in a row.& had all access passes. Unfortunately Michael wasn't there ☹️ but the rest of the band was cool as hell. I will never forget that night! I still have Kirk Pengillys guitar pick🎸
The 80s were the best. If I could go back in time....
