I'm not sure why so many people have negative comments about Bruce paying homage to Michael's legacy by covering this song. He wasn't trying to upstage Hutch or perform it better, he is merely paying respect to an amazing band and to keep Michael's memory alive. Is that such a bad thing? The biggest's compliment to INXS's music are those who keep them alive, and that's what Bruce chose to do. Geez!
I'm a longtime INXS fan back in the 80s and I'm a Jersey boy too, so you know I'm a Bruce fan...this was a great tribute, no question! Keep the memories alive, no question...shouldn't matter who does it! :-) #INXSFOREVER
i've always thought don't change was an underappreciated classic.having the boss cover it is validation how great it is. bruce plays this with such fury!
if you think it's an under appreciated classic it's because you are too young to know any better. This was pretty much their anthem from their first Major hit making album called shabooh shoobah in 1982.. It was the song that took them from obscurity to major league.. From someone who was there and watched their meteoric rise to fame, literally from the pubs,... I forgive your ignorance xx
jennie Ho I would be the first to agree that "Don't Change" was and always will be the greatest INXS anthem, but here in the United States the song did not ever come even close to receiving the same amount of attention and airplay as some of the band's later mega hits such as "Need You Tonight" and "Suicide Blonde," so in that respect it truly was under appreciated or at least somewhat neglected. I forgive your ignorance.
I am not a big Bruce Springsteen fan and I have to admit Im only here because I was listening to INXS but he meant every second of that performance. He shred the hell out of that guitar. Cheers for this one, Bruce.
Timeless, this INXS song. Same with “NEVER TEAR US APART”…………Even after all these many years, both songs give me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes 🥹
Wow, this is fantastic. Not a huge Bruce fan (until recently), not a huge INXS fan, but the respect is palpable right there. Bruce is oozing respect, he knows the importance of this song and that he is singing it in Sydney, the home of INXS and the home of a man who will be mourned forever. Bruce stays solemn, stays cool, and rocks the fuck out of that classic piece of Aussie rock. Well played Sir.

He played Raul Seixas's big success Alternative Society. Just to mention, he learnt Portuguese to sing the song and it was great. Bruce is the real boss. A powerful voice, a great artist.
Execution of bitterness. I love this song and so thankful for INXS. Bruce is an enormous talent and it would be any musician's honor to have the boss cover one of your songs.
OMG....always been a Springsteen fan since the mid 70s growing up in Sydney. Simultaneously , mega INXS fan.. Thanks Boss, this is an amazing tribute to the lads
This never gets old. I'm always in shock that INXS was ever on his radar. I always tear up. Bruce feeling it the whole way through, especially at the end.
bruce gets you emotional in some of his songs....philadelphia is one. There wasnt a dry eye in the philly clubs & bars...when it was played. that love song to philly in its darkest hours was like a nuke right in the feels... Bruce IS the BOSS!

Wow! I JUST discovered this incredible tribute from one type of Rock Legend to another type of Rock Legend AND his band! I love Bruce and his raw, enduring talent...and will FOREVER miss & love Michael and his unbelievably charismatic, yet vulnerable nature, AMAZING voice and stage presence & one-of-a-kind uniqueness that no frontman has yet rivaled (IMO). He exuded a sensuality, that I must admit, made & still makes me weak in the knees 💕 Excellent performance 👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 RIP Hutch ❤️💕💔
Heard this on my way home from work yesterday on Sirius E st. channel. Sent chills up my spine when the vocals kicked in. Played it about 20 times since then....great, great cover of an awesome song. Thanks Bruce
Best cover by anyone, ever. So much passion and energy. Imagine the sound engineers trying to balance all those guitars. The backing vocals toward the end the end get me every time.
Definitely caused some watery eyes . . . what struck me most about this is how much the intensity of the Boss's singing and guitar playing matched the intensity of Hutchence's singing (though obviously a different style). Of the dozen or so times I saw INXS live, it always struck me how powerful of a voice Hutch had, just booming at times. They were a great live band, which makes this tribute from another great live band so fitting.

you're absolutely right!
King David i had tix to that last show in SF ---- i'll never get over that - wtf??

That brought tears to my eyes. Bruce gave it 110%.

Girlfriend….Bruce was doing a cover of "Don't Change," for the Australian Audience in memory of Michael.
Amen. It was also meant to be played LOUD! So sad. What a talent, Hutchence. What power, what presence.
A respectful and passionate tribute from one rock legend to another. This makes me miss Michael even more.

I agree bro. Not a bruce fan at all. Didn’t want to play this. I just love the/his guitar at the end though. He’s ripping it good
so true, it was a passion performance for the loss of yet another talented young singer with so much ahead of him
