  • What’s up guys! This is my review and tribute to the outgoing 6th Gen Mustang GT, the S550 Chassis that Ford has offered for the past 8 years! Technically the mustang filmed Is a 2021 with the 460hp/420tq coyote (as mentioned in filming), 2022-23 have 450/410, but ultimately a very similar level of performance!

    Yep, I really love mine. 6spd in that deep deep red. I've never had a car with this much power, and I know it isn't the most powerful stock but I think it's awesome. I had to hurry and order mine on the very last day they were taking orders because the 2024 looks really...unpretty, in my eyes.

      These are plenty powerful stock! It sounds like you were able to get exactly what you want, which I’m happy for you. I have yet to see a 2024 in person, but based of off photos and videos I would have done the same thing as you if I was getting a new mustang. 🙂

    Best bang for buck you can get. And if modded correctly you can get supercar performance out of it.

    Years ago I owned a Mustang GT (5.0L, 302 V8) with a 5 spd manual transmission.
    It was a Convertible, White on White with Red interior. I sold it and bought my Miata .

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Год назад

      That’s awesome, which did you enjoy more?! I’ve never driven a “fox” body as they were called, but I bet it was very torquey and a fun ride! This modern 5.0 is really a cool car, but not as fun as my 1,500 pound lighter Miata that can get 44mph cruising to scenic country locations! 🙂

    • @Doc1855
      @Doc1855 Год назад

      @@AutomotiveAnonymous208 That’s a hard one. The Mustang had a LOT more Ho and torque over the Miata, but at the end of the day, I’d buy another Miata. It was better handling than the Mustang in tight corners.
      I liked the size of the Miata more.
      The insurance on the Miata has a lot cheaper because the Miata was classed as a commuter car, while the Mustang was classified as a sports car.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Год назад +1

      I totally agree! The mustang is sweet, but it’s not as fun as a Miata.

    Having a tough time figuring out if I should jump on the smoking deals for the 23 GT premiums right now or if I should just wait 1-2 months and jump into a 24 GT premium. I really like both.

      @@AutomotiveAnonymous208 yeah im usually a JDM guy, going to trade in the good old 2022 civic si for this so this is going to be a big change. My neighbor in front has a mustang cobra and another down the street has a white and black GT500. Been in both a 2021 GT500 and a 2022 GT Roush and liked the Roush better in terms of daily driving.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Год назад

      Those are all phenomenal vehicles! I’m sure you’ve also considered the Type R? Was the Roush a 6 speed or auto? I’ve driven a few Supercharged 6.2 GMs and hellcats but not a boosted 5.0 Coyote yet. I’ll have to find one, sounds fun! 😎

      @@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I’ve considered the type r but Honda and mark ups right now are insane. All the type r’s near me are 60-70k. The roush was a 10 speed auto.

      That’s unfortunate, but also what I’ve been hearing. Who’s paying base C8 Corvette prices for a Honda Civic?! 👀

    Hi Anonymous, I loved your review; however I own a '13 V6 Premium convertible w/Pony Package, The vehicle is Race Red with a sand leather interior and sand top. This vehicle is 1 of only 200 produced. Now I have a 6 speed auto which is fine for me, I have 305 ponies under the hood more then enough for sin the tires at each gear change. I also totally enjoy the cost of my insurance vs the insurance for a 5.0L Oh, my car is an S197, and it handles very well. However I also do not abuse it.

    The 2023 Mustang GT has 450 hp not 460. They reduced the Hp for 2023.

    So you would rather take this than a 2024 Mustang? SERIOUSLY???🤨

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Год назад +4

      Lol. That’s because if I were to buy a mustang I would modify it and not likely leave it stock. The S550 has an insane amount of aftermarket so no waiting and tuners know this platform. Also, if I’m going to buy a Ford I want it to be as reliable as it can be, I’d rather have this generation with kinks worked out than the new gen and deal with unforeseen issues that inevitably could happen. It’s nice to google your issue and fix it yourself but if you’re the first person to have an issue it makes it tough, and without excessive parts to purchase or upgrade to. Just my 2 cents. 🙂
