  • "Life is short. Its o' so sweet. There are a lot of people that we meet, as we walk through these shallow halls. But, the things that mean the most, are the friendships that you meet and take along with you."
Chicago Bears great Walter Payton thanks his family, coaches, friends and the fans, while reminding us that life is short and to cherish every moment and person you meet in his 1993 Hall of Fame induction speech.

One of the classiest people in all of professional sports, the late GOAT, Walter Payton. I personally think that the number 34 should be retired throughout the NFL. R. I. P. Walter Payton and thanks for all the thrills you gave us as football fans.

98 was when I first started watching the Bears. I was 4 years old. I myself never got to see Walter play in person. However my dad was lucky enough to do so. He would tell me stories about watching Walter play at Soldier Field. It was really cool to hear his story. RIP Sweetness. GOAT Forever.

“Of course he didn’t listen to me. For sweetness. 12 seasons was enough. He had proved what he needed to prove. To himself and anyone who doubted him. And in 1987 he retired. When I saw him next in Chicago. Me as running back and him as broadcaster. He was barefoot, running hills, still living each day like his last. When I heard he died age 45 of liver failure I wasn’t surprised… I was just sad. People always think of us as rivals but he was one of the very few I liked and even fewer that I respected. He remains the only person I envy.” - Barry sanders

My parents were very close to Walter’s family, that when I was about 2 years old, my father acknowledged me in front of Walter and his family loved how handsome I looked and such. They almost felt like they were my “cousins”, as a result.
And when Walter came over to me, and carried me up in his arms, he then said “I like your style, kid.” I didn’t know what to expect from that, at the time, but what I can expect now, was how honored and grateful I was, that a BEARS legend like “Sweetness”, would say all of that, about me, and about my parents.
Like all of Chicago, the McCaskeys, and BEARS fans, or fans of him, I continue to miss that guy.

It was his work ethics that made him the greatest player in football, it was his unselfishness towards his teammates that led by example, But how he described his love for his family is a testament to way he is best remembered off the field as well as on the field . This is my first time watching this - very touching! I would see Walter Payton at the Chicago Stadium when I worked there - he would come to Chicago Bulls games. I would see Walter Payton also when I worked at O'Hare Airport - mostly picking up his baggage in the Baggage Claim area. His wife Connie is a very nice woman. She said hi to me once when I saw her at the airport with Brittany and Jarrett when they were very young. My best friend's husband was a camera man for one of the TV stations here in Chicago - he covered Walter's service at Solider Field, so I have Waler Payton's obituary. And one more thing - my sister and I went to his night club on Halloween one year - I think it was 1997, 98 - somewhere around there.

This man died of cancer, at the age of 45? That is very sad and extremely bizarre at the same time. To say the least. I don't think Walter did drugs, smoked or drank alcohol. That's really none of my business. The fact that he could run like a greyhound and, had a great body and heart. Makes me wonder, about how can a man like Mr. Payton be taken away from the world at, such a early age. Maybe, it was genics? We will never know. One thing I do know that is a fact. He was a gentleman a team player and a very good football 🏈 player. Also a terrific Father and, husband. Walter wasn't a show off. Sweetness was the "show." God bless Walter Jerry Payton also his family member's. May his soul rest in peace.🙏

To stop them..
and Yu do have some chance, as there is one thing these champions of the Gä have done, such creatures quite many different variations, and yes Yu have been apprised some things are obscure more than you may presuppose, the elk are not Of the Gä for instance those who may have thought so when being apprised of all these type of things what's going on all these many millennia
