Man I got a real similar story to this. I was playing JV football & he had a nephew that played for the team we were playing against so Andre showed up to the game. After the game is when I heard about him being there, so I did all I could to find where he was. Dude was easily my favorite player all time so I wore number 80 & my last name is Johnson… i use to tell folks we were related lol. I found him, and surrounded by security, he told them to let me through & I spoke with him. He told me I had a good game & we had like a small 15-20 second conversation. Such a genuine dude, because he probably didn’t have to do that. I’ll never forget that night.

Congrats Andre, you deserve it. As someone in Houston who watched the Texans from the start, one thing I recall of Andre is when the ball is thrown to him in the end zone he is going to catch the ball no matter who is covering , the QB only had to throw the ball in Andre's direction and he will catch it.

Andre Johnson was a master of his game and, even in this clip, he reminds us that greatness is not possible without humility, as one must first learn from those who are better to achieve it.

The size and speed of some wr's the last 20 years is mindboggling to us who grew up watching clayton and duper and largent and beletnikoff.
