When Walter left this world, I did shed a lot of tears. He was and always will be a great person AND a great player. I don't think I will ever shed a tear for any other athlete.. this man was a legend and an inspiration to all of us
Walter payt.'s goal strategy: 1. Know your bigger goal! 2. Make it smaller goals e.g. each season achieve or attempt to achieve a small goal. 3. Work toward your goals. 4. Be relentless. 5. Winning is doing your best regardless of the scoreboard. 6. Focus on the game. 7. Achieve the hundreds and thousands before thinking of millions.
Football player with the greatest heart. Top 3 backs of all time. That ending where he says he wants to be remembered as the man who gave it all not for himself, but for everyone else shows just how much of a man he was.
@Reelblack - I am neither Black, Cool, nor Legit. But I am VERY grateful you put this cite up. Many of these items are of my generation and I think it's great that you help to preserve and share them. Thank you! When I was a penniless college student, I spent many a Saturday night at the Drive-In (cost $2.50) where films like, Cleopatra Jones, Dolomite, & Cotton Comes to Harlem and more were often the 3rd feature. Back in the day!
My favorite RB of all time bar none!! He was an even better person than a football player- a true gentleman off of the field with a community conscious mindset. I can't believe that the NFL wouldn't let this man into their NFL ownership club when he made an attempt to buy a team. RIP
An ultimate warrior on the field, who always played with finesse and which I believe the Chicago Bears are cursed till this day because the way they treated this gem in the later years of his career!
Walter Payton reminded me so much of Steve Prefontaine both instinctively knew that life could be short and never wasted their talent...A reminder that life is unfair and make the most of your God given talent
You don’t build a football team around another back. Sweetness is the best RB on and off the field. Ditka said it best. He gave more than he took from this world. If there is a heaven, Walter is first ballot
People view people as products so much its a trend that can be easily broken through self esteem and lack of greed. Dont sell yourself short! Drive the Honda 3 more years the Audi’s always break down anyways
Great, Great, Great Channel!!!! I am a nostalgic collector, and some of these rarities I have been looking to view, or collect for years, since childhood. Thank you for creating this channel of Historic gems, not just for black people , but for all people to see, and appreciate. It is a long overdue concept. Bless your creative genious. Where do you find all of these masterpieces. I am a hard copy collector and would love to purchase those films not available elsewhere on the net. Does your site feature "Porgy and Bess", with Sidney Poitier, and Dorothy Dandridge? I've been wanting to see that since childhood. Once again thank you. God Bless you, and much continued success. Check it Out! Ciao!!!
So, a great athlete died and went to heaven. During his introduction tour of heaven, he saw a man golfing a ridiculously low score while being cheered on by a great crowd. "Who is that?", he asked. "Oh, that's Lee Travieno", said the tour guiding angle. "Lee thinks he's God." In another place, they saw some guy hitting the baseball with great power knocking hit after hit and scoring run after run. "Who's that?" the athlete asked. The angel replied: "That is Babe Ruth. He thinks he's God." The next place in the tour was a football field with this guy running the football, play after play, through the defensive tacklers, and scoring touchdown after touchdown, spiking the ball with each score to the cheers of a great crowd. "Who is that?" asked the athlete. The angel replied, "Oh, that's God. He thinks he's Walter Payton."
Payton was still making pro bowls and performing at an elite level well into his 30s, and only missed one game in his career, even as a workhorse feature back. Running backs today can’t even make it half a season without some kind of injury that keeps them out for weeks at a time, even as part of a committee. And now they’re already washed up and steeply decline in performance by age 28 or 29.
The Interviewer= T.W.I.O.A.T (the worst interviewer of all times) --has prime opportunity to sit with a LEGEND and is completely unqualified to interview hence the constant asking of unintelligent questions which were so beneath Patton that it is quite obvious who came prepared and who did not! LOL ... THEE Interviewee= T.G.O.A.T. -- THEE GREATEST OF ALL TIMES-- enough said!!!;o)
I am in agreemenr wirh you....he had a very unprofessional approach and demeanor. But Walter remained consistent and classy regardless. He is still missed and remebered.

On top of being a dynamic football player...he was eloquent, soft spoken, focused, deep and intelligent. We miss you Walter Payton.

R.I.Power Mr. Walter Payton.
One of the Most Stand Up Chicago Bear that Ever played the game!!!😉
He's the best football player to ever play the game
Not even that he was one of the greatest beyond Chicago he’s the best they ever had he and Barry are the best to ever play the rb position
Thank You For this ... Just Love This Humble Man...Just So Refreshing To Hear Sound Reasoning !!!
My favorite RB of all time bar none!! He was an even better person than a football player- a true gentleman off of the field with a community conscious mindset. I can't believe that the NFL wouldn't let this man into their NFL ownership club when he made an attempt to buy a team. RIP
And they robbed him of a touchdown in the Super Bowl, the epitome of a real man
Never knew that he tried to buy in sad as hell, dude was one of the main reason the nfl caught so many fans
My dad was 11 when he watched old highlights of Walter Payton
I idolized this man when I was a kid growing up in Ohio in the 80s. RIP Sweetness 🙏
An ultimate warrior on the field, who always played with finesse and which I believe the Chicago Bears are cursed till this day because the way they treated this gem in the later years of his career!
They will look at you like a product 🗣
A legend
His wife represented him very well!
He used to come to Platteville, Wisconsin, he was great with the kids and went out of his way to sign all autographs
Say what you want but I don't compare no RB in history as good as Walter "Sweetness" Payton!
Walter Payton reminded me so much of Steve Prefontaine both instinctively knew that life could be short and never wasted their talent...A reminder that life is unfair and make the most of your God given talent
Mike Ditka with some profoundly wise words there in the beginning about what truly measures a man.
That collar popped is on point!
RIP Sweetness
Thank you for tha quality
His selflessness and dedication to his sport are something you can't evaluate on stats championships and advance analytics
Great upload!

The high school named the field after him and they won state last year

Why do you sound like Michael Jackson?
