@tigerlancer I haven't seen many photos of Emerson, with the ones I've seen I can't say what I think really but they could be sisters, however to confirm they are they need a DNA test
Why is she keeping 3 loaded guns in house with a toddler? That sounds so so dangerous to me. But I am not a gun enthusiast. Isn't there protocol/training for gun safety or storage with kids present?
My son has several loaded guns in the house with a toddler and a 7 yr old. At first it really scared me. But, as he explained, if it's middle of the night and a lunatic breaks in, he probably won't say, "hey, go ahead and load your gun for a fair fight"! ..lol He keeps them with a special guard and where kids can't reach or even know where they are. My d--i-l is full Native American and hunting is part of their culture. ❤
Common sense dictates, anyone accusing their husband of child A, child SA and double attempted mur-der, then asking for help to move to another state, shall be packing their own damn boxes, if only common sense had been the soup du jour.
Ashley not discussing what happened and why she shot Doug, eliminates the chance to be caught in a lie. It’s very conniving … Ashley knew these people would testify… we see a lot of perps tell friends and family different tales and it ends up in court.
I kept waiting for them to describe her behaviors and ask if they pertained. The biggest blow in their case so far was witness. They could have taken him down quite a few notches. Even knowing he would twist his response to support the defendant. Boo prosecutors! Better bring it tomorrow-
I am confused, I didn't think this was a DV-trial? Can you shoot and kill an unarmed man for showing violent behavior in the past? She has had four years to construe a story that fits and had studied DV victim behavior to play out for the jury. I don't believe her act.
@@Tori345when law enforcement, family court professionals and the presiding family court judge cannot find one scintilla of evidence that a serious crime had occurred, how much PTSD do you think Ashley can lay claim to? Being accused of child A, child SA and double attempted mur-der. Doug should have been insulted that Ashley would ask for help moving. On the flip side, what traumatized wife and mother would ask a PDF file, attempted mur-der-er for help moving? Doug is a dead idiott, but Ashley is just plain evil.
I could not agree more. It is truly infuriating to listen to all of the victim blaming being spewed in this case. The judge even allowed in texts between Doug and his first wife, which to me seems to be hearsay at the least and a total violation and betrayal to Eva and the memory of her parents. It was just another example of the disdain Ashley has for that sweet girl who is navigating life without either parent. I pray the jury can see through this poor me act of Ashley.
I don’t think she had Any intention of staying with him . She was yes a way out from the cps and other family court issues. The laws in Maryland she was hoping to go there and start a new life without having to answer her issues in court and dealing with him as a father. I can see crystal clear through this!!
@@dannyadkisin1337 Thing is 99% of stand your ground trials get denied, and go to trial. Where quite a lot still get a not guilty. It's a different proces. And should not be used to prove or disprove self defence
I believe she never spoke to anyone about the day (including the 911 operator + police) because it was planned. She knew her words on the call could be used against her. So no words, no 911 call (neighbor spoke for her), and no interrogation-room recording/response. She knew and planned it all. very intentional from day one. The false allegations, the "text messages - that no one has confirmed with metadata actually came from the victim. The State woefully left too many grey areas and unanswered questions. When you have a defendant that testifies and you don't tear apart their story, it's a huge missed opportunity. Such a shame.
@AminAndAyo I believe that she has planned everything from the beginning I think she has looked up everything from each stage of dv I think she looked up pregnancy and dv she seems to have worked through every situation every display of what to look for in every type of dv and what criminal charges and what legal prevention measures she can get ect very clever but extremely terrible for the victim and the children will be damaged badly 😢
He wasn't to controlling. She wanted to go live with her mother when she was pregnant because of morning sickness and never went back. Then he didn't try to push to be at the hospital when the baby was born. I don't believe her. In her own words he never hit her or stabbed her. She killed him because she was afraid he was gonna get custody.
@@cdelane3335 I agree ..she is the manipulator IMHO That poor man and his daughter eva 😭 My heart aches for eva !! This Ashley was jealous and divisive
@@Tori345agree! Also hurting the animals, firing the gun, throwing the gun, stalking and harrassing her. How he spoke to her. Dropping her off at mums because he couldn’t look after her while she was sick with the baby. I can’t believe how people are dismissing his behaviour.
@cdelane3335 What do you consider to controlling? Would you personally date/marry someone who shot a gun in an argument. Punched holes in the walls, stalk you, hurts your animals? Where is the line for you
@@Tori345seems perfectly prudent in a marriage to do so, to be honest. Ashley seemed like she was trying out polygamy wearing another man's engagement ring while still married to doug. 2.5 husbands before Ashley turned 28 years old, if it wasn't for this pesky 25 year sentence she's staring down the barrel of, she could have given Lori daybell's 5 husband record a run for her money.
@@cdelane3335 I could have sworn when she went to Florida to stay with her mom, she wrote a letter in an email that stated her intention to break up with Doug and warned him not to come down to look for her. Did they bring that message out in this trial yet? Was that when the divorce was initiated?
Was there a lock on the bedroom door? She lured him into the bedroom. She had time to get the gun, so time to lock the door. Mom and child conveniently out of the house.
Something about Ashley I find unlikable ... My heart aches for eva 😭 no parents. This Ashley had no right to kill this man. She comes across fake to me. I think she was manipulative using her looks ( or what she felt she had )
I am an RN and I would expect if there is a shock to the spinal cord the person would collapse in a crumpling style, not flying back with their legs flying up. The arms could be equally affected resulting in the heavy impact on the skull as he couldn't brace himself. So I call BS on her testimony. Regarding DNA - she was in this supposed compliant relationship with Doug - are they trying to say they never touched, held hands etc?
RN here too and I agree. IMO doing was not coming “at her” aggressively. He was struck, fell, and was left there for way too long to die. No evidence has been presented to prove any abuse allegations, especially on that very important day. I hope the jury has common sense and follows the evidence AND the lack there of that the defense keeps spewing. This was not justified imho. Both were involved in a toxic relationship but I don’t believe Doug deserved to be faced with deadly force in this situation.
Watching late as usual for me. First think of Ballet being a dramatic performance she trained for the dramatic her entire life. She has got this battered woman expression down. I think she invited him over there to kill him. He was a man she did need to get away from if half what she says is true, and I believe most of what she says isn't true. He IMO did not deserve to die. I have lived with that kind of abuse. for years and leaving is the answer not killing. The state is sadly not doing a very good job at all. Most of what she has said cannot be proved, but they are bombing in the courtroom
I am a dv victim, for many years. I would have never, ever, invited my abuser over to help me pack, and then let my mom and child leave when he was Invited to come over to help. In my opinion, she had this planned. She wanted him Out of her and their daughter's lives. She had a new love and she wanted out. And She had 3 guns planted in various places in the house.
My goodness the MH professional Bruce Harriskinda rambles on and on brings up DV over and over but this case is not about DV. What I’m also having a huge issue with is the fact that he spent over 10 plus hours with her and never completed an evaluation. As a Counselor myself this raises questions. I’m sure he’s very well versed in all his trainings. Isn’t this the same MH professional that was suppose to evaluate Jody Arius? Aside from being a credentialed professional myself I too have worked in family court criminal courts and DV. Im not seeing self defense here having for her to use deadly force. Hope the jury can see though it as well. They were both enmeshed in a co dependent relationship with each other and due to their relationship issues brought these things out. It’s not only a woman’s issue because not enough men speak out about being emotionally abused by women. It’s often thought just a woman’s issue and so far from the truth.
I think she’s a very good manipulator and actually quite smart. Her ballet history also proves she does know how to “put on a hell of a show”. I believe those were her words. Wouldn’t be surprising that she could make quite the impression on a vulnerable male, even a professional.
Are you watching the same trial we are? How on Earth is he trapped in the bedroom when he was at the door and she was across from him at the interior back of the room? He chased after her into the bedroom. Not vice versa
I m scared of the out come. But it wont bring dad back. She will have to look at her daughter and remember killing her dad. I wonder if she will treat her badly in the up coming years.
Okay no one seems to mention it and it's driving me nuts - Doug's 'stance' when he was shot. I live in a no gun country but i thought that the general known advice for someone being faced with a gun - is to make yourself as small a target as possible, which includes turning to the side. Doesn't it seem plausible that he was faced with a crazy woman with a gun, turned to the side and put his hands up to try to talk her down? She shot him (side chest), he turned with the impact/fleeing and she then got his leg? Or other way around - turns to run, shot in leg, then chest as he goes down?
@@MrsWeirdAgain Exactly! The same stance when someone is going to throw a ball at you, but you’re not ready. You’re facing them, but quickly pivot to the side, lift a knee and arm to shield your face and chest, it’s an instinct. That would be exactly how he was shot.
Or could he have been lunging toward her, got shot in the chest and in the leg that was moving forward? Just wondering if that would make sense too? I missed the ME testimony and have only heard the testimony from The forensic scientist and pathologist.. I do find the fact that she was aiming downward suspicious... But so far prosecution has improved anything to me
@@criminallyfocusedAs far as i remember, the shot to the leg was the back of the inside thigh - down - out below knee opposite side. So the leg wouldn't have been facing her and the trajectory doesn't fit her saying his legs 'flew up in the air' - then it would go up inside his leg, not down. Its so confusing tbh

Love Grizzly True Crime. You do such a great job G. I have watched since part 1. Firstly I think she played Doug and set everything up. It was all a plan to get her daughter to herself and nothing else worked. 2ndly I really think she will win because of her council. He really is outstanding, fights for her till the end. Goes above and beyond. I want him on my side for sure. Hi everyone from Australia :)
Day behind the whole situation, hinges on the fact that she was trying to protect her child. No one who hasn’t been in that set of circumstances could understand the fear. And the constant trauma. And what lengths a mother would go to to protect their child. And abusive father never has to lay their hands on the child or the mother to still be abusive. And when the court says you have to share time, then you have to find other way to protect that child. So appeasement, time together, hoping and wishing and praying that things will change on an hourly basis, are all part of that messed up program. Because you’re stuck, and the only thing you can do is hope that something you do that will prevent them from hurting your child. And all reality, there is very little you can do. Trapped.
Catching up now... someone had the question; if she was so scared why would she send her mom to the park w her daughter? I agree and better yet as a mom if she was aware of the allegations why would she leave her alone? I would have stayed w her the whole time. Heck, i would advise her not to allow him to move w them. She was away for a yr and had apparently moved on so at that point i would hv taken off without him knowing. Idk it just doesn't add up to me.
@@Tori345 I'm sorry you feel that way. I agree that some ppl can be a lil insensitive. I think ppl shud be able to express their opinions no matter what. As long as they stay within respectful boundaries that is. If indeed you were/are a victim I'm sorry you have had to deal with that. I do believe that there isn't a cookie cutter way to act in such situations so I would be silly to say that the way she acted would be a definite yes or no. Unfortunately, we weren't there and the only person that could hv disproved her 100% is now gone. I'm usually very emotional on these kinds of things and somehow I just don't believe what she says. I didn't feel like she was bng truthful at least on ALL of it. This is just my personal feelings based on what I have seen and heard so far. And even though it may seem contradictory she really doesn't seem like the meek person she's portraying. Again this is just my opinion and I don't expect everyone to agree w me, however I do expect ppl's respect! 😊
They had court ordered time sharing of their daughter. If she "took off without him knowing" it would have been parental kidnapping. Once found, AB could lose custody of her daughter for doing that.

@@hayleym2122those gray hairs are only at the roots. Not at the ends. So she does color her hair. She's either just broke because her mom signed grandma's house and 401k over to defense lawyers or she knows, where she's going, she doesn't need to dress to impress, anymore.
Facts 😂 she’s too awkward for me. She looks like she’s legitimately uncomfortable in her own skin, not just saying that as a saying but I truly mean she looks so uncomfortable and tense hunched over etc I can’t stand this chick.
Prosecution was appalling. Hope they apologise to Doug., his children and family. Poor job State. Defense was good for the murderer. Love to Doug’s family.
I am 3:41:06 in and i call Mistrial! I’ll get back to you when i complete the entirety of day 5. As of now, this whole thing is such a mess! The prosecution is not going anywhere and the defense is making the judge leap over obstacles that he cannot get over. This is ridiculous. I’m confused, the internet is confused, and the jury is confused. Mistrial. I’m calling it rn
Mistrial??? Whattttt? No way! That’s very rare! Only if something totally compromises the jury affecting whole outcome does that have to happen and nothing like that occurred here!
I think Doug may have been misrepresented himself as more wealthy than he was, they did the ballet, she got pregnant then realised this isn't the life she wanted. He was just a big mistake she'd made and she didn't know how to get out of it, she wanted a clean slate and he wanted to be in his child's life, also they were newlyweds still so he wanted to save the marriage. She realised that he was gonna be persistent in saving their marriage and she panicked. He may not have been a great guy either way but i do think she's making it all worse than it was, and she just buried her head in the sand hoping he'd go away. And when he didn't, she shot him not seeing another way out. Also i do not believe she actually told him in so many words that she didn't want to be with him, the various mental health professionals testified to it.
The defence has done an amazing job. He’s established DV and made this into a DV trial as a result! The prosecution failed miserably to establish their case. I will be shocked if jury finds her guilty!
Replay!! The State BETTER divide out, without a doubt, "....there's been much testimony about DV but that is NOT what this is about. This case is about was AB scared to death, so scared she had to kill her husband. The husband she left, wanted to take their child, made sicking accusations of abuse from DB against the child........" and so on. I am really surprised how much DV has come into this trial. Her act on the stand and inability to recreate the shooting doesn't make her innocent to me.
Technically it’s not about DV but in reality it MUST be . He bore every hallmark of a textbook coercive controller . Impossible to isolate the tragedy from her fear of his previous controlling patterns of behaviour . Law enforcement had repeatedly let her down & she was trying to be conciliatory whilst walking on eggshells around his unpredictable temper .
Even though people like us are armchair attorneys in this case, I think that both sides in this case would benefit from hearing and reading our comments, because we are also potential jurors.
If she was so scared of him she would have never made allegations of child abuse against him. She is so full of it, hope the jury are taking notice of the terrible acting.
I can’t get past the fact that she literally lured him to the house she killed him in for days before and she didn’t prove her life was threatened by her own pathetic testimony-Guilty!
It definitely seems that the relationship was toxic on both sides, but that's not what this is about. I definitely believe that she is guilty and that he didn't have to die. Too many things don't add up and it is super sketchy that she points down when reenacting. Also, anyone else not see any real tears? I had flashbacks of the Amber Heard trial the whole time. The state needs more attorneys like that 🤣. Also a DV survivor with tons of trauma that I deal with daily and her poor acting is an insult to all DV survivors. Thank you, G, for your continued coverage of this trial (I'm a little behind, but watching it all). I appreciate all you do and have been a Grizzly for a while!
Wanting a house next to Ashley , imo, is based on Doug believing the relationship was reigniting, based on Ashley leading him on AND to be near Emerson. That’s not dv evidence….
She was leading him on and the jury heard the texts. Prosecutors aren’t prepared or are disorganized and rushed. The one talks so fast, I can’t understand her. It makes me think she does everything too fast. 🤷🏻♀️
Michael Haag is a really interesting witness. His knowledge is amazing but he makes his testimony so interesting and clear to understand and is very good explaininv things to the layman
I’m only halfway through this day, but so disheartened to see State out maneuvered by the defense. He’s a seasoned defense attorney. Prosecutors needed to outsource strong help with trying this case. They should’ve seen they were “outgunned “. Hope the jury can still see thru AB and her team’s charades but without the backstory it’s challenging.

I went into this case knowing close to nothing, (except your pre trial info stream) and the vitriol towards Ashley in so many chats is shocking to me. The prosecution has provided no evidence of Ashley being abusive or manipulative towards him, nor have they provided testimony of people that described Doug as gentle, kind, or understanding. His texts and his testimony in court have shown that he WAS abusive towards her, and that she DID have reason to fear him. He lied to his lawyer saying he was going to live together with Ashley in FL, but according to her mom, he never lived with her. He even tried to buy/rent the house right behind her!!!! He couldn’t ask her for permission first because of the restraining order, and he knew that. She didn’t want to make him look bad in front of the doctor because they still have to leave together! What happens after the appointment is done? How would he retaliate to her contradicting him in therapy and undermining his authority in front of a professional? Arresting him at court and ‘making him look bad’ could also be seen as her wanting someone to believe and legitimize her fears, since FL courts refused to take action with the restraining order. Also, we don’t know if she said this because she knew Doug was going to be there, or if she specifically wanted the judge to see him get arrested- that’s how the cop interpreted it, not what she factually requested. These two things are not comparable imo. Based on how he treated the animals, I wouldn’t introduce him to the child as well- it’s not parental alienation, it’s protection. The testimony about him packing his things and her things together also indicates a lack of respect for her boundaries and autonomy, because it forces her to spend more time with him than she intended. She still had to coparent with him, so it’s not unreasonable that she called him over to pack up stuff. It doesn’t mean she lured him there-If there’s another reasonable explanation as to how/why things took place, the jury MUST side with the defense. Tl;dr courttv and law & crime have run so much misinformation pre trial, and I feel like people have most definitely come into this case biased against Ashley. The prosecutions case was incredibly weak, and just because ppl feel sympathy for Eva doesn’t mean Doug wasn’t abusive/making Ashley fear for her life when she shot him. She ran immediately to the neighbors and asked them to call 911- we heard her panicking on the call! He was still alive when paramedics took him, so idk why ppl are acting like Ashley is some cold hearted callous killer who didn’t care enough to call 911.
Excacly. Doug was an abuser. He was with his first wife. He was with Ashley. I found the chat absolutely awful in this trial. And quite honestly Gisela aswell. For someone who claims to be an advocate for domestic violence, it takes more than showing a hand signal. It means standing up for abused women. Also those who may have done stuff you don't agree with. Its obvious she thinks Ashley is guilty. Which is fine. She is also a victim.
👍👏🌟….. lord help us all being at the mercy of such vitriol, witch burning and deep, deep bias from viewers . The modern day depiction of Charles Dickens blood thirsty “ knit one; purl one “ brigade of women occupying front row at every public guillotining . We learn nothing from history ! And then we wonder why so many women are murdered ea week , yet still fail to join the dots when a trial like this is played out on our screens . Women truly are their own worst enemies and abusers alway count on it and love it bc it makes their abuse so much easier to perpetuate

However the, she is not a victim, just because she may also be a perpetrator, I do not want to support that. I was extremely disappointed in Gisela. I'm kind of hoping Laura Richards will do a video on this trial. I know Gisela thinks very highly of her... maybe if someone that is not "just" one of her followers gives some perspective on this case. And the obvious abuse and coercive control ... it may land how utterly awful this all has been handled.
Catching the replay! Thank you G for all of your continued hard work. I’m feeling the state did not prove their case and was ineffective. I think the jury may find her not guilty. Imo
Thanks for the comment about the reenactment by Ashley. Something was bugging me about it, but I didn't know what it was. Shooting downward - that was it. We typically hear how abusers want to control victims, and one way is to cut them off from family and friends. I realize that they don't often tell these people what is going on, but I'm curious about why Ashley didn't seem to have been cut off from people, like her mother. Good point about Doug driving her to her mother's house. Doesn’t fit. I doubt that he punched the dog into unconsciousness. Likely stunned it, so it was temporarily incapacitated. Not acceptable, but a good example of her exaggeration. Same with the box scratch. I, too, believe that the defense attorney is doing a pretty good job; however, part of the reason could be the failure of the state to object to things. In the cross-examination, the state appears to be trying to show that Ashley doesn't fit the profile of many of the characteristics of the wheel. I'm not sure that saying anything to show potential abuse by her would help them. It could come across as somehow blaming the victim. I'm getting an "OJ" feeling about this case. I agree that the state shouldn't have cross-examined Ferris.
It's mid night here so I'll have to finish watching this in the morning, I watched the verdict before watching day 4 and now day 5 and day 6... I know I found it hard to believe her since the start, I got Amber Turd vibes, from get go...
Ashley did an interview with ABC this weekend in the middle of her trial. I find it insane that she never talked about it once BUT in the middle of her trial she does a news interview. Is she trying to cause a mistrial?? Hmm makes me wonder , G..
The jury isn’t allowed to watch any coverage, so it won’t cause a mistrial. Doing an interview pre trial would give prosecution grounds to cross examine her on her prior statements. Prosecution fell flat on its face during cross examination because they didn’t expect some of her answers. This is exactly why lawyers tell their clients to shut up and talk to no one.
She should never have taken the stand. That deserved 👏 for a better performance than Amber Herd. My cousins was in the Australian ballerina for 15 years. She said she's never herd of her 😂
In my opinion, the witness, Bruce Ferris should be recused, since he has full knowledge of the case and has spent a lot of time with the defendant. I believe he took a friendly liking to her, and no matter what the State asks - he will answer in a beneficial way toward the defendant.

I’m catching up now on all the parts I missed while at work? Justice for Doug and Eva!!
And Emerson. Is she a Benefield or a Byers? Did Ashley change back to Byers herself? Seems like something she would do.
@@tigerlancer she never put benefield on the birth certificate.
@@tigerlancer DNA needs to be proven that Emerson is his daughter, before assuming she is his... especially since she's cheated before...
@@21_f_aus I'm just guessing by looking at pictures, but I can almost convince myself that Emerson looks like eva as a kid.
@tigerlancer I haven't seen many photos of Emerson, with the ones I've seen I can't say what I think really but they could be sisters, however to confirm they are they need a DNA test
How do you become a member of Grizzly True Crime. I'm in LOVE with this channel... so awesome!

Why is she keeping 3 loaded guns in house with a toddler? That sounds so so dangerous to me. But I am not a gun enthusiast. Isn't there protocol/training for gun safety or storage with kids present?
Exactly!!! 3 *LOADED* guns with a _toddler_ in the house , no locks in them and within reach of the kid smh
My son has several loaded guns in the house with a toddler and a 7 yr old. At first it really scared me. But, as he explained, if it's middle of the night and a lunatic breaks in, he probably won't say, "hey, go ahead and load your gun for a fair fight"! ..lol
He keeps them with a special guard and where kids can't reach or even know where they are. My d--i-l is full Native American and hunting is part of their culture. ❤
Nope! No training! Laws are in place to lock up the guns but she didn’t have the guns locked up either!
@@LeslieRoth-rl7zrit’s against the law in lot states what you just said and if an incident occurs he goes to prison!

Watching on replay….I really wish we could call in and ask questions that the state should be asking 😂
Keep up the great work Giselle!!! 🥰❤️
I’m 1.5hrs into this days trial…
Yep, the defense did a good job. WTH is the State doing??? Other than not enough…..
Common sense dictates, anyone accusing their husband of child A, child SA and double attempted mur-der, then asking for help to move to another state, shall be packing their own damn boxes, if only common sense had been the soup du jour.
Thank you, Gisela!🐻💕
Ashley not discussing what happened and why she shot Doug, eliminates the chance to be caught in a lie. It’s very conniving … Ashley knew these people would testify… we see a lot of perps tell friends and family different tales and it ends up in court.
The power and control wheel the prosecution could cross examine and ask what happens when both parties in the relationship are covering the criteria
I kept waiting for them to describe her behaviors and ask if they pertained. The biggest blow in their case so far was witness. They could have taken him down quite a few notches. Even knowing he would twist his response to support the defendant. Boo prosecutors! Better bring it tomorrow-
Thank you G for your commentary. I agree with your outlook on this whole trial 💯
Thank you Gisela. Excellent coverage as usual. I just got to finish watching.😊 thank you.😊❤
I am confused, I didn't think this was a DV-trial?
❤your content G watching replay

I hope the jury catches what you did with her aiming downward.
The State is kinda NOT asking the right questions 😕
Defense is a sneaky 🐍😏
That slimy lawyer got others off on self defense for murders! Makes a living on these cases! He is so disrespectful he needs to retire!
He literally just said “his testimony “. The lawyer doesn’t get to testify
why didn't the prosecution call the lead investigator to the stand ?
Because they are well aware he was wrong for charging her with murder.
@@Southerncomfort420 exactly, and their claim he was shot in the back was also debunked.
His theory and bias was so disgusting against her like the Boston cops in Reed case, that he would upend this case himself!
I rewatched while waiting for todays live and I have to be honest G, I do believe you could have tried this case alone and prosecuted it way better!!!
Long videos, but good.
Everyone needs to watch the Stand Your Ground hearings ! Tells the whole truth. She is sooo guilty!
It’ll be a tragedy if she goes free.
And also sucks I wish the prosecution was a lot better at touch tomorrow on that stuff! Praying that the right verdict is handed down!
They showed Doug's shirt and shorts earlier in trial and pictures also !!
Yes💯👌
You are absolutely right! 💯 🎯
Yeah. I'm perplexed with this prosecution. It's so bad, you can't even believe it.
@@Womenswarrior-v3f I 100% agree!- Than goodness the State did a much better job in closing.
Packing guns in a U-Haul is incredibly irresponsible, as they could get broken into/stolen. It’s not at all suspicious to leave that for last.
@@cdelane3335 I agree ..she is the manipulator IMHO
That poor man and his daughter eva 😭
My heart aches for eva !!
I wish this trial was being decided by the Judge.
Why?
Yeah I don’t trust jurors in any self defense/murder case as they keep letting these women off!
Yeah. And the prosecution just let it pass...
She came in to the pretrial hearings looking like a model, now she dresses like a grandma. It’s all an act
My opinion too. Same when she was standing today blinking eyes with sad face and acting faint. She comes off quite the little actress/manipulator IMO.
Ashley watched the Amber turd trial and thought, I can do better than that. When the tires hit the road, Ashley did worse.
@f.r.etling6226 I can't wait to not have to see her face constantly. What she did was totally inhumane. Nobody deserves abuse but she was no saint
@@Tori345totally agree with you. She knew the court would allow him access so had to show she was not blocking that or it would go against her.
It's disgusting that they disparage the victim.
He was pretty much trapped in that room he probably couldn’t get out and away from her
Are you watching the same trial we are? How on Earth is he trapped in the bedroom when he was at the door and she was across from him at the interior back of the room? He chased after her into the bedroom. Not vice versa
Totally agree!
The trajectory is going down!!
I m scared of the out come. But it wont bring dad back. She will have to look at her daughter and remember killing her dad. I wonder if she will treat her badly in the up coming years.
She already treated her badly since pregnancy...forcing an exam as a toddler, holding her from her father, killing her father and Lord knows what else
Agree. His arms must have been up. Otherwise she would have shot him in the arm, not through the chest, piercing both lungs and out the other side....
I don’t know how she could miss in that room he must have been trying to get away from her
You cannot shoot someone multiple times because in the midst of an argument they follow you into a room.

I agree is it their first trial or what they are useless it's so annoying it's triggering me not for the abuse from doug but this injustice ashley got no proof of anything only her word...
How can someone claim fearing for her life when she admitted he’d never hit her. Whatever coercive controlling behaviour he used, this wouldn't cause her to fear for her life in that moment. Please, State, set this out clearly for the jury.

Hola does anyone know what trial day they talked about her reading his daughter's diary?
My opinion - the leg wound brought him down and she continued shooting to keep him down.

Anyone notice how Ashley doesn’t write much, then all of a sudden when there’s a sidebar, she becomes a special correspondent writing everything down 😂 it’s hilarious
I love the way she’s acting like this poor mouse with no makeup and the gray hair. No woman her age would walk around with gray hair like that.
Still manipulating the court she's pure evil

Defense Attorney Taylor grasping at straws. The Judge is a superstar - not taking his BS. (I am a day behind).
The defence usually pays their experts so they say what u want
The new boyfriend should have testified. She looks to tall to be a Ballerina. Dressing all mousy and playing Damsel in distress.
Yeah cont look at her state of mind without looking at the whole relationship
No woman would go to court with hair that needed a dye job so bad without it being a plan. Everything is manipulation with this lady
ESPECIALLY a young, 33 year old. Lol She’s so transparent it’s sickening!
Even though people like us are armchair attorneys in this case, I think that both sides in this case would benefit from hearing and reading our comments, because we are also potential jurors.
She's going to have a difficult time getting a date after this.
Nothing from the State, how ridiculous is that 😱 They've presented a very weak case imo.
My thoughts exactly.
If she was so scared of him she would have never made allegations of child abuse against him. She is so full of it, hope the jury are taking notice of the terrible acting.
If I ever kill someone I want this defense attorney!! But I think she is guilty.
I can’t get past the fact that she literally lured him to the house she killed him in for days before and she didn’t prove her life was threatened by her own pathetic testimony-Guilty!
Prosecution shpuld have practice the questions from the ower and control wheel before she started cross examination she had all weekend!
Prosecutor needs to be up the good points of Doug
Michael Haag is a really interesting witness. His knowledge is amazing but he makes his testimony so interesting and clear to understand and is very good explaininv things to the layman
Grizzly repeep crew! Thank you!
I am at 3:25 now. The defendant lawyer is so good.

The State is doing a terrible job.
We all know defense will find witnesses to render info in their favor.
@@Naveen-tx8be Yes....turned me off of her channel. Most comments are incredibly catty and petty...I don't mind ppl disagreeing, that is fine, but this comment section is gross...
@dnfi5480 Same. I've stopped watching the trial here, and unsubscribed. Sad.. I used to love this channel and had been a Grizzly for years.
@@Naveen-tx8be and now she’s deleting constructive comments like ours . All mine have disappeared . That speaks volumes
This is absurd. First trial I've watched that I actually can't stand. Ashlee is a master manipulator
It's mid night here so I'll have to finish watching this in the morning, I watched the verdict before watching day 4 and now day 5 and day 6...
I know I found it hard to believe her since the start, I got Amber Turd vibes, from get go...
OMG! This trial off the rails! Utter bullsh!t
shame i could not here her description of the wounds away from her mic. :(
Regarding what Doug’s physique was when he died, they literally have autopsy photos. I would think that would be most reliable and is already entered.
BS walks.. Truth talks. she is paying big money for defence attorney
Yep they better bring in closing arguments because they have sucked so far
I think she's going to be found guilty of something.. she looks worried,!!!! thanks G ❤
