PLEASE MAKE THIS A SERIES!!! I can't tell you how happy it made me finally seeing one of my favorite youtubers play this game!!
We're having a lot of fun so far! I'm hoping to convince the boys to continue playing because they're not as into the base building stuff as I am which is where the endgame focus seems to be so I'm falling behind on actual character progression since I'm the designated builder 😂
Base building is one of the best parts with this game, can dig down make caves etc@@Tomographic
Would you consider a Collab with Neebs or Jawoodle... let them give you guys a professional tutorial?

Same. I don't know why the Zombie Community has decided that Project Zomboid and 7D2D are the CoD/Battlefield of zombie games, when we can just enjoy both. Both games I have come back to time and time again when they update and it's been great.
Best two games I spent 10 bucks on.

I have spent 90 hours on 7 days to die within the past 2 weeks, 10/10
I just hit 1,400 hours on 7DTD. I love this game and I'm so happy its getting more exposure! I've had it for about 10 Years. Have fun and keep going at least until the first horde! You can create amazing bases and traps. Its so fun!

Make sure you guys take turns building bases or you're gonna fall behind on levels and gear.
And its only a base building game every 7 days.
Once you get into larger structures they turn into dungeons that you have to navigate and fight through.
Then the 7th day is just Wave Defense.
7 Days to Die is great for varied gameplay.
7dtd is one of my favorite games, keep playing it.
Love to see people showing 7Days some love, I played day 1 on console and for for years after jumping back in here and there lately. I'm really hoping this final release brings some eyes and attention to the devs The Fun Pimps and gets them enough traction that they can do other projects. I would really enjoy their take on a medieval zombie/ghoul/plague creature survival genre with a 7Days building mechanics but with more npc interaction than 7Days offers.
Just a quick tip to any that may read this, if you stay full (on food) then you will slowly start to heal over time. I say this because for the majority of the vid, tomo wasn't full health and it always correlated to him being hungry. Even the times he got hurt, a quick snack would have got him back to full health, as at the time he was only 5-2% hungry.

Love the 7 Days to Die content and its perfect for the FAST squad now to get Stone to use his talent points the right way. He's using sledge he needs to increase his stamina. Love the content Tomo.
Any tips I can maybe pass on? I assume we should both be eating certain foods with stamina bonuses during Horde night but what's the best way to increase your overall stamina in the game?
@@Tomographic yes but should eat smaller foods cause once you get above 50 food you will start healing. So the slower you get to 100 food the more you'll heal instead of using medkits and first aid bandages. Best to have a real good range and a melee. Best to go on hunting trips and just kill every animal and stockpile food. Get a lot of canned food from houses. Beer will boost stamina. Teas have healing abilities and stamina boost as well. Using guns will attract zombies so best to hunt with bow or crossbow. Just build character around your playstyle. I like a strong melee and a good marksman. You'll get better turrets and traps as well for horde night base through the science class I think. Use bone knife to get more meat and leather. Need to work on a forge and a workshop.
@@Tomographic also with the pit just make it deeper with no traps and zombies can't get out and you can farm them for xp with whatever gun you want to level up.. just put ladders for an escape that you can jump to and zombies can't. hopefully can find another punch turret and have both pathways covered.

It is so nice to see this from your point of view, watched Stone's content on it and it was painful to watch. Never played the game but can tell Stone just DGF's his way through these games can gets carried along.
Nice to see it from a POV of someone that likes to play these games and has some sort of idea
@Tomographic just FYI you absolutely do NOT need to be into base building to enjoy this game! Late game content can be T5/T6 quests, surviving blood moons without a base (run around, find a building to hold up, etc.) and looting for vehicles/parts is just as (if not slightly more) efficient than crafting is. It's really easy to play this game to multiple playstyles. Just spec into whatever skills you enjoy (agility is a very useful one) but pick 1 tree each for you community (e.g. 1 person does food growing / one cooking / one resource farming, etc)
The fact u watch neebs play this game tells me all i need to know how this is gonna go. I love neebs gameing
I mean, that was the exact kind of mayhem you expect to see from a first time trying out 7D2D, lol. And I'm pretty sure Neebs would be very proud of how task successfully failed that horde base ended up being, that was straight out of a Neebs Gaming horde night.

Hands down the best Survival Game (zombie or non) that I have ever played. Have over 2000+ hrs in it so far.

@@Tomographic Early game tips:
1) Find a weapon type you enjoy using. Every weapon type in the game (Clubs, spears, fists, batons, sledgehammers) have pros and cons and they all feel different. Once you find one you like, put at least one point into the applicable skill- You'll be more likely to find/be able to craft better versions of that weapon.
2) POI skulls are a warning, not a challenge. Unless you're very confident in yourself, avoid anything above 3 to 4 skulls until you have a proper gun.
3) For the first few in-game weeks, find a POI and make it your base. Make sure you have your bedroll/landclaim located near the center to prevent zombies from respawning inside your house.
4) Try and knock out the first level of trader quests. The tier completion reward is extremely valuable early game.
Those boxes in the loot rooms contain loot as well, like Pass and Gas, Shotgun Messiah, Savage Country, Shamway Foods... just harvest them with your axe until the picture disappears and then loot it. You also want to get your Lucky Looter skill up as soon as possible so the places you are looting give you better and better items. Also, check out the vending machines :)

Great vid! I'm getting nostalgic when I first played this game, when I didn't know much about the game yet and I miss those days. Just keep playing and you will naturally learn on how to play this game more effectively your own way and discover a lot what this game offers. With my more than 1000+ hours in this game, it is something I cannot go back to and this video gets me back to those days. Keep the videos coming. 😊

The bone knife is actually a great weapon as well as essential for getting animal parts

This was brilliant! Never seen this game before and it looks to be awesome. I can tell that when you get more advanced Tomo, those bases and trap defences are going to be epic.
Don't know if they're going to be in the game, but, I can envision chainsaw and spinning blade traps in there somewhere.

This was fun! Hope you do more. Hatches are good for temporary checkpoints when clearing POIs but for horde bases you want your choke point to be a build piece made of the strongest available material you have and put the entrance somewhere else. Zombies won’t climb ladders 3 blocks high unless they start stacking up on each other.
Personally never played the game, but definitely one to try! Please make this a series, 100% need more! ❤

Craft metal bars in the forge and create a one sided bridge of sorts and put the bars infront of you 2 high. they will mostly focus on destroying the bars and ignore the supports for the bridge. If you spend points in parkor you can jump over 2 or 3 blocks making it an easy retreat if you have multiple layers of bars

7 days is a favorite of mine so I am always happy to see people play it
I told my friends about this game for years, they thought it was garbage. I played it in its infancy, seeing it over the years evolve has been cool. Still a fan.
They made a few changes since the last time I played. Tutorial now has icons on resource, better graphics on the models.
The experimental - Character page is changed - Outfits not separate pieces, Challenge reward system
Might be time to start a new game.
BTW item respawn rate is set in the settings, along with many other customizations. Spears are the melee weapon king
Your horde base needs some work, If you are going to have the zombies climb stairs, use either ramp or stair corner pieces to wrap the rising section so they don't beat on stairs from the side.
Once a zombie is injured it goes into a kind of berserk mode for a bit and beats on any nearby objects.
PSA: Don't get this game on console, it has been stuck in limbo and set very far back in revisions.
Finally! Tomo always plays games better than i do..usually by a long way! Now FINALLY he's playing the game i have put probably over 100k hours into and i can finally feel i'm better at a game than Tomo ☺
Damn it. Just now learn of this game's existence as the Steam sale ends. Oh well. Wishlist.

This game needs a remaster already. Last time I played this game was 2016. I logged in, ventured around and noticed the weird "THICK" walls for building and the graphics were bad. Now its 2024 and things havent really changed other than the graphics but they still look old.
it'd take them another 10 years just to properly update the engine to make better graphics work on normal gaming hardware.

Pro Tip. Build your horde base at least 7 cubes high or 11 cubes high.

@@Tomographic if zombies fall they go into destroy everything mode if they are 11 blocks away from a player when they land. If you do plan on continuing this into a series I'd look into WaywardEko for some base designs and tutorials. He just released a video on a base design called the switchback that holds up really well
