@@thefiresworddragon927 Calling Sephiroth most powerful in whole main series of Final Fantasy is far-fetched. “I wouldn’t mind being summoned by you” to yuna I feel that’s a nod to either Gilgamesh was supposed to be a summon or foreshadowing for what happened in FFXIV with him being Yojimbo
Some speculation actually point to him *being* Yojimbo. Or at least that's what I see from what others say, there may be actual proof of his actual identity
It was a pretty common theory that either Greg just took the guise of Yojimbo in Spira or that Yojimbo was meant to be a nod to Gilgamesh without being him. I expect 14's use of Yojimbo was meant to nod to that fan speculation/theory.
I love how much of a clown and at the same time how immensely powerful Gilgamesh actually is! I mean, this guy tends to fight against several protagonists while fooling around and still is hella hard to beat! And even after a hard beatdown he shrugs it off like it were mere bug bites! 😂
Gilgamesh is both a lovable, mischievous goofball, and an honorable, tough as titanium tungsten-testicles invader of foreign lands. Adore this character so much.
Still think he would have been the perfect secret boss in kingdom hearts 3 or 4 now. But they must keep him self-aware that he is not in the right world or demention and mistake Sora for Bartz form ff5.
What he has done after he got thrown into Void by his then-boss and blowing himself up to kill Necrophobe is quite vague, but accurately defined: wandering multiverse looting weapons and picking fights. I wonder what he did before he was recruited by Exdeath?
FF Type-0 is apparently where his origin is. Before he was the Kooky Kabuki, he was a warlord and L'cie. Iirc (been a loooong time since I've played) the L'cie curse just made him lose himself and he eventually ended up in V somewhere. Definitely could be wrong though
Gilgamesh: Flies down and enters the battle only to crash and fall of the ledge.
Without the context of the game I cant understand why he is doing this. It contradicts his character from FF13 2. Isnt he immortal?
His soul is forever bound to the rift. You can kill him but he won’t stay dead

He'd been featured as a Summon in a couple games by that point, including 8 and the GBA release of 6
