It's a good video and interesting to see him using some alternative falling cuts. Sure can produce well. Quite a difference in BC versus USA falling safety standards.
I had to quit rough framing in Kalifornia because of all the looney safety Nazis. Let a man make his own decisions. Btw- 35+years and no injuries besides a couple stitches and a bruise….
im sure he is wearing sew in chaps in his pants most guys like them instead of wearing those kind you wear on the outside much more comfy that guy is a good faller good video
nice work, funny how you get the greenhorns yacking on all these type of videos, yah, there are some true wannabes, you do it to bring in the green and you love to get up and go to work,I'd say not a bad gig. keep yer head up
I used Husqvarna simply because i didn't like the way Stihl was balanced. Husky seemed more centered as far as balance. Performance wise they were about equal. Stihl maybe a little more reliable.
Might have some years in falling but this video was kind of painful to watch. The block cut was unnecessary, wasted board footage with that and the big fir at the end took way too long, chain seemed a little dull. Want to be impressed watch mike rice falling timber...

I like this because there is no talking, just get to watch the man work.
Great point! (Exactly)
Bloody good vid, this guy and his saw could go anyplace and be welcome, good saw and good operator

Hey. Those arborists would take this guy to school when making the old bird beak cuts.

Dam good worker. Be safe in the wild woods Brother.
And they act like the swizzler is some kinda new cut! 😅😅😅😅
Looks like an oh-44, but pulls like an oh-66
People would dirty thier drawers if you showed the bucking. Most dangerous part of being a faller.
😁

I know what you mean. A lot of videos from the US, the guys aren't even wearing safety gear. Lots more accidents!
Lots more production, run or die

I've notice in a lot of videos of professional loggers about 3/4 of them use Stihl chainsaws.

Not sure what saw this is, 460 or 660?
Filter base looks like a 440, definately not a 460 or 660.
Is the purpose of the cuts he done at 1:30 to help keep the tree from shooting down the hill? I've never seen it before today.
Christopher Witkowski yes it is on a normal face cut if u watch they kinda spring off .this way it just falls over
Block cut. It's meant to maximize holding wood.
Rough as fuck.

Why would you backcut a tree the size of the last one. Hard work on operator and the Saw?
Wasting board footage of an 11" dbh tree, YEAH OKAY.. Stop acting like you have the first clue.
