One of the really big problems with these new trucks there's no manual override switch so you can turn the fan off so it doesn't stir up all that dust and that's just one problem with these new trucks the old trucks for way better way way way way better

My Dad used to work with Vanderlip Logging Co as the road dozer operator and I really enjoy these videos. My dad was active in the 1960's and 70's when he built many of the roads off the Keno Access road, Burnt Creek Road, Buck Prarie Road, Pelican Butte NF-3455, Moon Prarie Road, Jenny Creek Road, Yew Springs Road, Burton Flat Road, and many others. I remember Jim Vanderlip Jr. as a very fine humble and generous man.

Interesting how they power the trains up and down the mountains. Same method the loggers' used back in the 20s to help the horse drawn sleds hauling logs out of the woods in northern New York. Steam powered donkey's winched sleds uphill and drum brakes to let them down safely.

Alright, FINALLY Figgered this out. Logger fells tree. Baby Cat skids singletons to the road. At the road Baby Cat assembles loads of 3 to 4 logs for the grapple skidder to skid to the landing. #wedekind=oneofakind

As a truck driver myself I’ve never been around logging trucks and always wondered how they turned with logs pivoting at a different point then the pintle hook at the back of the tractor. I didn’t realize till watching this the bridge actually extends when turning so the logs don’t slide. Great video 👍
